More games taking place beyond the 500 year mark have since released after this video was made, such as Star Citizen, Warframe, Destiny 1 & 2, and Horizon: Zero Dawn. I think it's time for a revision, a revisit to this timeline with updated information, don't you?
And then there's Stellaris, which takes place all the way from 2200 to times often ranging upwards of 2600, 2700, 2800, 2900, 3000, and beyond.

Year 2020: Lord Gaben discovers the secret to eternal life. He then lives as far as 2999 when he decides to release a teaser to HL3. Everyone that is still living on Earth then forms a gigantic faction which serves Lord Gaben. They then capture and defeat every alien civilization. And humans become the most advanced civilization. Then Lord Gaben and the council of Valve releases HL3. The whole human race is overjoyed and a whole 102 years of peace is enjoyed. Then, Lord Gaben instructs everyone to life their life freely, and everyone does as they please. The rest of the human race span is left in peace, but there is no more records to be found on human life. We Buttzoids have then colonized the Dark Planet, which is covered in dead machines and cold, hard metal. We planted trees, grass, and more alien vegetation. Earth is then returned to it's plant-like existence and now, in the year 4026: It has seemed humans never existed, as Earth enjoys it's last years in peace.
4135: The Chromson, (Sun) has exploded- luckily, the Assoids, (Evolved Buttzoids) have escaped the solar system. They then find life on a new planet in the Etheral 103 Region, nicknamed, "Ketral." They then colonized it. And the rebirth of the humans is born when they discover a frozen human body in the Xavier Icestar. Fast forward to 5890 and Humans and Assoids are enjoying a life of luxury and peace. Then, the, "Table of Human-Asses" declares the neighboring star systems enemies...
6999: The great 1,000 year war has ended, resulting in the extinction of all life in the Milky Way. However I- A nitrogen-frozen Buttzoid, have thawed and is exploring the remains of life in this impossibly huge ambiguous place. I am writing this summary of the last 5000-6000 years? So that whoever finds it can learn the history of life in these parts.

Luckily another colony was founded on planet B00-B. The implosion of the uranium reached the far ends of the Chronosphere. Blowing up the Sun and bringing a rain a burning lava globs onto the remains of Earth.

Seeing this timeline we can use it as a way to improve our future as to not make the same mistakes as the characters in the games did. We have a chance and hope will never be lost, if anything this video gives me hope in a way to improve our future, sure some events are happening now but who says we can't divert from this timeline? Don't believe me? Watch Rick & Morty, he puts it perfectly. There's an infinite number of realities with different histories behind them. There is definitely some progress with nano-technology, and cybernetics. And I would somewhat argue that the lines between machines and life have been blurred, but in an unexpected way with the development of Xenobots. Of course, these are still nowhere near what is displayed in these games, but it is still impressive nonetheless. It has been a nice ride so far (minus the global pandemic) and hopefully we will get to come back here a few more times to reflect on what the years have in store for us. I guess I will see y’all in 2027.

Kate Lulamoon Its just a theory, a game theory. Most of this can be avoided, as Temperature-based weapons are universal and parasites don't really want to destroy other humans. We would probably be wanted as hosts, so zombies as parasites or viruses aren't likely.

I can't exactly say for sure as to where Minecraft (and other related games) takes place. But I do have some theories about it.
Minecraft could actually be a virtual reality set place in the same timeline as the video proposes above. People developed advanced virtual reality systems to stop people from worrying too much about future resource wars. People developed a peaceful reality with so many resemblances to the real world (explains why there's oak, birch, other wood types; cows, sheeps, llamas, and other animals; biomes that are found in the real world; etc.) with only mobs (and other players) to deal with, so that people don't have to worry too much. Same goes with Roblox.
Like the wipeout racing series. That stretches all the way to 2207 and all seems well then.

Actually the game set farthest farthest in the future is Minecraft, which takes place after the Sun Expanded and lit the Earth on Fire with you bring the soul human survivor that escaped to the Earth's Moon, trying to rebuild everything despite it being horribly deformed (The moon from Minecraft is actually the leftover Neutron Star from the Sun's death)

It's a slow process, but the world is trying to swap to renewable energy sources. But the fossil fuel industry is fighting the transition tooth and nail.
@@IceLordCryo which makes little sense. Renewable resources like solar and wind require fossil fuels. The solar panels are manufactured with oil. Wind turbines are made from specialized plastics. And then the oil companies can make a killing on people who want to drive faster than 45 mph.
Petroleum companies like BP are adapting to more green energy alternatives but poorer countries are the ones who will likely fight over fossil fuels in the future .
My money is by 2030 that we hit z nation or dead snow.
In many movies and tv series it is said that time is like a river, that splits into creeks, or pools into lakes, or careens down waterfalls (quote from Garnet (Steven Universe)). So the predictions in this video are an option, but we can change it. WE dicide if this is the future. Make a better place of the world! We can't except a 3rd world war or cat-aliens taking over our planet! Can we?

Solar power is utter trash, nuclear is the way to go.
that works for big plants, companies, and buildings, but the carbon footprint of cars is harder to get rid of and switching that to something besides fossil fuels is either pricy or Impossible with modern day cars.

I'd want to live in the world of Mass Effect. Sure, there's husks and Geth and Reavers (?) running around, but there are also many, many worlds to explore and various alien races/cultures to interact with.

Galaxy _ Pokemon can be there. Let the creation story of the Poké-Planet take place and on that new planet and Pokémon and People evolve along side each other. They grow together and technology begins to go father in time while still staying not so resource-heavy. Some thongs are powered by Pokémon and others by infinite energy sources.
