honestly the worst part about the red wedding isnt even the actual killing. its what they did to his body afterward. the wolf head thing and the cheering of “here comes the king in the north!” literally has me scarred for life

The saddest part of the red wedding is knowing that Catelyn died thinking all of her children were dead and that her husband betrayed her for another woman he refused to talk about. Out of all the deaths in thrones, hers was definitely the most bitter

@Isha Fatty Absolutely I was very surprised. I really like Kit as well, and his S6 nomination was deserved (he should have won that year imo), but no way was his performance in S8 Emmy worthy. Of course, most of the blame lies with the terrible writing that didn't do him any favors but still. I feel that his nomination had more to do with series ending rather than his actual performance which had been so much better in the past with serviceable writing. Same goes with Alfie and Sophie noms for S8 (they both should have been nominated in years past, maybe both for Season 5?) They had no business being nominated this past year because like Kit their performances were not memorable at all (again, more to do with the writing.) And don't get me started on Lena and Michelle for the Red Wedding as you mentioned. I just have no faith in award shows anymore, and the Richard snub just further drove that. (and the fact that thrones got a nomination for best writing, are you serious??)

Well, Tom (Brooke) plays the ex soldier and sort of friend of the protagonist David Budd (Richard Madden) in Bodyguard
You might also know him from Sherlock. It took me hours and quite a headache to figure that one out because he looked so familiar but I just couldn't remember what series I had seen him in

The saddest moment in the entire game of thrones is when robb says "mother" during red wedding, gives me tear every time
Truly, he's saying "it's over, I love you, I'm sorry" in other words, accepting his fate
That moment is going to haunt me forever
That and the scene where Robb crawls to his wife and touches her tummy, where their child was 😢
Wanna know what's even sadder than that?
In the books his last words aren't "mother". They're "Grey Wind" (his direwolf's name). Skinchangers ("wargs") often inhabit the mind's of their host animal after they die and temporarily live out a second life until their minds merge over time.
Most likely, Robb died, transferred to Grey Wind's body, then died a second time in the midst of watching all his people getting slaughtered. In the show Arya actually witnesses Grey Wind's death and the two make eye contact in his final moment. That would mean Robb was murdered, transferred to Grey Wind, then, seconds after learning his little sister is still alive, died a second time feeling helpless to protect her and worrying about his mother's fate

GRRM is a genius and he had more than 10 years to think about the story,the characters and write it all down on paper. the showrunner just did what they could without source material
I was thinking the same thing. What a waste, the show was completely ruined, imo.
BioHassard the showrunners had all the time in the world. Time was literally a complete non issue, other than the fact that D&D had another better paying story waiting for them, and the didn’t want this one in their way when they went to write it.

God that scream is so well done. You can hear her and see her becoming numb to the situation because of how surreal and overwhelmingly awful it is. Almost as if her soul is leaving her as she's screaming. It's like you can actually hear her heart break, incredible acting.

In the books after witnessing Robb’s death you can really see how she goes insane. She digs her nails into her face and when the Frey comes with the knife she thinks they’re gonna cut her hair, and how Ned always liked her hair.

And she is so underrated. I also loved her portrayal of someone who is an opposite type of character in the White Princess.
The facial range of Michelle Fairley in this scene is just so powerful and well acted.
She is terrified by the events unfolding around her and seeing her child die in front of her makes her scream in agony until she realizes that he is gone and becomes numb, not even caring anymore, that she will inevitably die herself in the next few seconds, because she just lost everyone and everything she holds dear.
If someone were to recommend Game of Thrones to someone, just tag this sentence:

Robb will always be my favorite character in the show and books, he was kind hearted, noble, righteous, and very compassionate just like his father, he loved his brothers, and he was an incredible leader, but almost poetically, his inexperience and naive young nature caused him to make one mistake that cost him everything, it’s almost shakespearean and beautifully tragic, I will never forget Robb Starks character, and I was in tears at the end of his story.
It's sadder in the books because he didn't violate his pact for 'love'. He did it to protect the honor of the girl he slept with. He was accepting the responsibility for the consequences of the selfish decision he made to sleep with her. She was sweet and cared for him, but he didn't want to actually marry her (let alone violate a marriage pact for her). He was just trying to do the right thing. Over and over and over throughout the story Robb states what he thinks "my father" would do. Well, Ned would have done the same thing that Robb did. That's for sure. Sadly, that means they both lost their heads for that honor

When I watched the red wedding scene I was 8 months pregnant. I cannot express to you the amount of absolute horror I experienced watching that scene. It took me few months to even think about continuing to watch the show.
I was late to the game and only saw it after I had my second baby. It sure gives you an awful tingle, doesn’t it.

If you look up the HBO commentary for this scene, you CAN hear him and Michelle crying and it's very heartbreaking. They also just spend the whole time gushing about how much they love each other, which comes across beautifully on screen.

I actually cried at Robb’s death, and shouted an obscenity when his unborn child was killed. I watched the scene and when his last word was “mother” the dam burst.
I love that Richard explains it and I would’ve been alarmed too if I’d seen him on that plane.

That scream is one of the best screams I have ever heard. So raw and emotional. You can feel sanity and will to live leaving her body...so heartbreaking.

This was the greatest moment in Game of Thrones. Incredibly well done. The sense of dread they built leading up to it. The uncomfortable lingering shot on Cat before she is put out of her misery. It was graphic, emotive, and a shocking twist. Well done to all involved

Robbs loss hit me hard. The Starks were the ones with the most noble goals. Watching him go hurt me big time. Especially after Tywin reforged his family heirloom.
The only consolation is that the Starks sort of won when they basically took over the throne, the North, north of the Wall, and future territories.

This scene is so good, from the moment you hear the rains of castamere even if you don’t know what it is-you know something is up
that scene gives me chills every time. at first i hated it, because i thought Robb would get justice for Ned. from the Lady/Nymeria mishap, to Neds beheading, I felt the show just wasn't going to give me any reprieve. I thought about quitting the show then just because it was pretty heart wrenching. I obviously came around for future seasons, but they won't ever touch seasons 1-4.

Only a shattered mother, just witnessing her son murdered, wouldn't notice her throat has been slit.
It's like she shut her eyes on purpose, welcoming death.

Who else watched that commentary video he was talking about at the beginning? It was emotional they genuinely cried and said they love each, they both were incredible in that's scene. Maybe the most polarizing scene in t.v history. This and The Mountain and The Viper aka Gregor Clegane vs Oberyn Martell

Robb stark is my favorite character, I remember, when I saw this scene, I was shocked,
he was true king, respectable. He didn't deserve to die like that.
Can we just talk about how adorable it is that he respects and admires Michelle Fairly's (spelling?) acting talent so much?
That scene that still to this day breaks my heart and i will never forget this terrible ending for Robb Stark and Richard Madden is such a talented, handsome and very humble actor.

The amount of emotion I felt while watching this episode a few years back is unheard of.
This scene is one of the best in GoT. It is sad to se how season 7 and 8 lacks the GoT storytelling like this. Not even the final season have so good plot twist like the old seasons.
the decline kinda started back in season 5. from there on they didn't have the books as source material because winds of winter and dream of spring weren't out and are yet to be released.

I was in total shock after I watched that scene. I haven't read the book so I completely don't expect a massacre in a wedding. The ambience of the scene gave me goosebumps, especially when the violinists played the Rains of Castamere. I even remember forcing my self to believe it was some kind of a dream or a false vision, but it wasn't. That was truly an iconic scene and we will never forget. The North Remembers.
