- So I'm very excited for 3.20 and the Release of the Hull-C. You probably already know this with my love of Cargo hauling.
But I'm also Concerned.

I do have the Hull C pledged, and I am both excited and pensive about it's release. I hope CIG implements at least some rudimentary cargo missions for it's release.
I might have misread but Cargo missions are slated for a 3.20.x patch I think.. Hopefully not TOO far off!
We can always trade scrap, and pray we don’t get rammed while sitting outside waiting to load or unload.

The vocab use is epic!
Hydrogen should ONLY be available from Crusader, either VERY cheaply from a refinery platform at Orison (ie: on the GAS GIANT planet), or less so but at a decent discount from PO/Seraphim.
Hull series ships can dock directly to a refinery platform and should be a BIG discount for bulk purchases (like IRL).
Starfarers could get a good price, as they don't have to cover the cost of the gas shipping containers, passing ships could fill their tanks cheaper than at R&R or an LZ and normal freighters could also make a profit, but nothing near to the margins a Hull freighter could.
The gas containers would fit the Starfarer, so pirates could detach and stash them around the 'verse as a pirate base refuelling cache, maybe in the asteroids near a QT route.
They would be invaluable in Pyro.
Larger consignments couldn't be sold to legitimate TDD terminals, so the pirates would be incentivised to negotiate for a ransom, rather than trying to steal 4,000 SCU of hard to offload hydrogen canisters.
The Hulls move them to the stations, so Olisar/Seraphim would give them the least profit, but would be the cheapest Hydrogen available off planet, getting more profitable but more expensive to purchase, the further out you go.
Planetary Hydrogen would be the most expensive, due to the shipping costs associated with smaller freighters moving it from orbit.
Other commodities could be similarly indexed, based on availability and you can buy NOTHING at ArcCorp in bulk except waste, but they buy EVERYTHING in unlimited quantity.
Thoughts?
I like it, and small details can go either way. I think this is the level of options and intricacy that Haulers want.
I didn’t really care for the Hull series of ships but you have started to make me rethink that. Also, this explains why I haven’t seen you stream lately. I’ll have to watch for live notifications here from now on.
Hull Series is Gorgeous. really wish the Hull-B was out.

Rip the bandaid.
I can easily see people working around the cargo loading times by running multiple ships. Set one Hull to unload then haul with the one you set up earlier. So long as the cargo load or unload doesn't need to be monitored its not so different to the refinery processing timers.

Yeah, as I said during your live stream the other day, im pretty sure it will be another “Reclaimer” a ship without a purpose and gameplay for a long time.
And I don’t understand why CIG is doing it, we have the Hull A with a measly 48SCU capacity, why would they not focus on the Hull B with an projected 384SCU instead of the Hull C, at least the Hull B has a gameplay.
No, I will not pledge the Hull C, or any other LARGE cargo ship for the simple reason I wont have enough ingame money to trade with it from a wipe, would rather put my real money into something that can be used grinding from a patch wipe
I really wish they'd done the B next also. It would have made more sense. They could get the Cargo Containers figured out and still have it fit the single system.
Had a bunch of bugs. So after hours of playing I finally hit 500k with the Hull C. Then ship and cargo just gone.... Now I cant do any trading. Kinda just pissed off atm. The Hull C feels like trash. Stunning visually but the inside just feels like a waste of space.
Freighter Captains: Trading SUCKS ... what can you do to make it viable and fun.
CIG: If you invest 1 million aUEC, you can make a profit of 10K aUEC, all your cargo can be stolen and we have made it a LOT easier for pirates = FUN.
Freigher Captains: .... ?
hull c seems doomed to fail. hercules owners should already know how difficult it is to fill their cargo bay, now times it by 4.5 and cancel any planeteray landings.. but i still want one
It does seem that way. Either they have nothing for it, or they've not mentioned it because it's got it's own ISC.
It's for orgs , single purpose , no utility and it's gonna need escorts . The only interest I have in it will be it's effect on the economy . Some people have blind faith in CIG geting it right , I'm not one of them .
It's definitely for groups, Orgs being the primary target. Won't stop me from trying to Solo it like a fool!
I hope I'm wrong, but I think as a trading vessel, it's going to be disappointing on day one.
@@BeardofOz My concern is there will be nothing bu scraps left for smaller vessels . It would fit the narrative of pushing multi-player on to the player base . I really hope that doesn't happen but I'll hoist the Jolly Roger if it does .
All this cool fun ships, but you rely on having others to actually use them. Worste thing they could have done.
it is just numbers and parameters guys. lorville alone is a complete city planet. its hunger for resources must be andless. so lorville should be the place to dump your haul.
Why would you trade, its a pvp game.
