- Welcome to this unboxing and first (very impressed) impressions of Cave of Sybil, a Chthonic Oracle by Tiera May, maker of Ritual Tarot. Tiera sent me this copy a while ago and I have been eagerly waiting to share this footage with you!
She sent me one of the test prints of her oracle deck that launched today on Kickstarter.
I’ve filmed this the second I received the deck and let me tell you… we are immediately getting into deep dark waters with this one.
This cannot be everyone’s cup of tea, therefore it’s the syrupy whiskey from the old dusty bottle in the back of an abandoned (and probably haunted) shed. The label has faded, partly deteriorated, you wipe off the spiderwebs and cobwebs… lift towards the firmament… cheers. Let spirit fill you.

Thank you so much for showing this deck. I’m so excited. I love these cards. One of the main reasons what Drew me to the ritual tarot was no names on the cards. I love being able to intuitively read without having a word help get me there. I love being able to just focus on the message I’m getting and then having the name on the back is perfect so you can put them in order again as you wish… also i love cards with nudity… and I totally agree if you don’t like a card that’s a sure sign that one needs to go deeper with that card. Anyways much love also happy you did the review because I loved your ritual tarot review ❤🖤🕯️

I remember when she posted saying that the deck started out celestial but became chthonic. I actually liked the idea of a celestial deck...so maybe that could be a future deck idea 👀 I have been trying to save up money for Mr. Friborg's mermaid deck and this deck. I LOVE the idea that it has a book of spells.
You are correct about not speaking about death, many cultures believed that if you spoke about death you are inviting it into your life. The ancient greeks didn't mention Hades a lot do to that reason. I do prefer a whole deck walk-through but I don't need to see anymore cards than you showed. Tiera's tarot is my only collage deck and now this will be my second.

I love the Ritual Tarot, I also have the unmarked cards and am reticent to Chang to the marked version, but it is tempting as a second copy. I am definitely supporting this deck on Kick Starter. I think this is a must have if you are serious about tarot and oracle card reading.

I absolutely think they carry a lot of the same energies and esthetics too! I love my Lilith version. If you like to have cards that cannot be damaged, opt for the plastic version. Or linen is good too (both Lilith version with text on the backs)

Good cardstock... yay... I am officially done with the crappy stuff. Thanks for showing a prototype of the deck. I think I know the figure on the back of the cards, as in, the representation of a God... not them personally hahaha. That would be creepy. It would be interesting to see it with the Living Alter deck

@@AstralLadyTarot My initial thought is that this is Shani Deva (Saturn) in Hinduism. In particular the mustache and the sun rays are reminiscent of some statues I have seen. He resides in specific aspects of temples as his gaze is deemed to be powerful and influential, so no worshiper sees him directly unless they decide to go to visit the idol specifically. This particular rendition feels like it is a depiction from SE Asia, Indonesia or Malaysia specifically where the kings adopted the religion as it spread to the East as West India went through many invasions from Persia, Greece and so forth... driving the original tribes South and East. God of karma and justice he is somewhat of a reckoner, here we face our demons. At the very least, this is a reincarnation of Vishnu but as I mention, this is Vishnu in his most aggressive form, ruler of Kaliyug (age of Kali).
