(It might sound a bit silly ？）Like when you really connect closely with a tarot deck, that kind of emotion and vibration turn the deck become totally different.

Antique Anatomy, Smith Waite, and my Tarot of Vampyres. I would love for all my decks feel this disheveled eventually! Also, I love your idea of only acquiring 4 decks a year on the Sabbaths. I recently acquired a pre-trimmed, pre-used DruidCraft deck. Even if it wasn't trimmed by the creator, as the marketplace said, it had very good energy and I enjoy reading with it.
Uh oh...I never thought about blacking in the borders. I don't have the patience for trimming, but that I could do. I love this tag. You might be responsible for my first ever VR!
Oohhh yeahh absolutely love seeing the state of decks that have been through it! They're so beautiful, not only do they tell the tale of tarot, but share your own story with the tarot as well. I can't help but think about the Ship of Theseus, as you talk about replacing once card at a time as the deck wears on. At which point does it become no longer its original self. Such a delight. I could happily think about that all afternoon. xx

I don't have a single disheveled deck among my 150 or so because I tend to flit from one to the other almost every day rather than pull the same one out over and over. I envy how you've bonded with several of your decks but, although I have several favorites, it's all about the variety for me!
Wildwood is my favorite deck , I have a version that is not glossy but is old, the cards are really used, the cardstock is not good but, is my Wildwood

I gifted my most used deck away years ago to a good friend...it was covered in notes. It wasn’t my first deck but it was my first RWS. I must have shuffled that thing over ten thousand times(20 years of use). Kind of regret it now, feels like I gave away a little piece of my heart and soul. I remember she asked “are you sure”…at the time I wanted to forget about all those consultations, all those memories…like a recovering addict. I stopped “using” tarot for a few years after that. I started my journey on CZcams looking for vintage older decks basically what this video is about, but found out there isn’t that much out there about older well used Tarot decks. I like your Wildwood deck the edges remind me of a box of crayons which I still love and use and collect. Looking forward to the VR’s that are created because of your video, just not sure where I’ll find them. I love the idea of blacking in the borders like you did with the Halloween Tarot. I've been thinking about doing something similar with the Tantric Dakini, only with a maroon or burgundy, kind of like the boarders on the new Margret Peterson. I think it might set it off really well and get rid of the ugly boarders on the back ! But I haven't committed yet...
I love this topic! I'm new to tarot and all my decks are shiny for now but I can't wait for them to look well loved. Often, I handle my decks (touch, shuffle, bend a bit,...) while watching YT just to make them look used quicker. I also realised how important is the quality of cardstock because not all decks age equally well, lol.

Hey Venus in Virtue! I’d love to see your VR. I use a teeny tiny piece of sandpaper and then use a small drop of tea to color the card back to off-white. End with a bit of mod podge as a finish on the card

forgive me if I have offended you ...but to me they are still our calendar months , here in Ireland and used everyday especially in school... and usually people who are interested in such matters as Tarot etc are usually open to knowing the correct pronounciations... saying that if I had Dutch to the standard that you have English and I have no doubt French...then I would be so proud of myself..
