He's not wrong, but for the wrong reasons. conventional NFT's (bored apes and collectible images) are absolutely not the future.
Other things like admission passes to places for employees/guests or virtual ID's actually have potential to become commonly used in the future.
I feel like I missed something growing up because, 14 years after it was founded, I still have no idea what exactly Faze is, what it does, or how the hell it was ever valued at $1 billion.
I thought it was a group of gamers, but then how does a group of gamers become a publicly-traded company? How do they earn revenue? How does Snoop Dogg factor into any of this???

It used to be just a group of gamers, that was when it was at its peak. Corporate people came in, took power, turned it into a public company, got Snoop Dogg into the board of directors and fucked everything up basically.
I mean you were 4 when they were at the new york house so it cant be really helped that you didnt grow up with them. Their age demographic were mostly teens who played cod at the time.

The while firing people who were not "friends" seems to me as a way for banks to have more control over everyone and keep people he feels he has more control over. To me it seems like it's going to be more of a team 10 situation then an actual group of friends making content situation.
I can tell you by following all 4 of those creators for a while that they have had connections to FaZe and all of them are really good friends with members that weren’t cut and these 4 in specific have been growing on twitch rapidly so I definitely see why they would add them to the roster but I don’t see the reason for cutting their bigger streamers for sure

Ludwig didn't mention it but one of the reasons he believes in Banks talent acquisition skills is because Banks actually reached out to Ludwig himself very early in his streaming career well before he was well known. Hes brought it up a couple times on stream over the years.
