I didn't have time to do a real video on the Teaser for DuckTales upcoming Darkwing Duck special, but I wanted to share something. 30 minutes later, we have this. I think it sums up how I feel about it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think at some point Launchpad is going to leave Duckburg and move to St. Canard to be Darkwing's sidekick. Della will take Launchpad's place as pilot and Huey's Junior Woodchuck Leader. This will eventually lead to the Darkwing Duck spinoff that Disney is clearly setting up and it will probably be released on Disney Plus.
That’s pretty much what Launchpad did anyway in the original series. Bringing Della into the cast was probably the excuse they wanted to do just that. I mean, now Owlson is the new mayor of St. Canard. A nice step up for her too.
Both series were great then. This completes that picture. The Rescue Rangers exist in this universe now. Wonder if they’ll use them again next?

Well there goes a great character from Duckburg. He was one of the main reasons I liked the show.
No...no offense but all of you are wrong the creator came out years ago and settle that. He said that it was the same continuity but different universes. They were two different but the same launchpads.

I really do hope this episode leads to a Darkwing Duck reboot after Ducktales ends. We can see Launchpad become a main character and have Fenton/Gizmoduck show up every once in a while to help Darkwing. (And keep their rivalry one sided.) And we could also see Scrooge and the kids show up too once in a while if Drake and or Launchpad move to St. Canard.

@@Greystone2023 I didn't say both shows couldn't be going at the same time but Launchpad was a main character in the original Darkwing Duck it would be weird if he wasn't a main character in the reboot. Unless Darkwing lives in Duckburg right now instead of St. Canard if would be hard for Launchpad to be a main character in both shows. Then again people have been speculating that since Della's back she could take over Launchpad's job as pilot and that can give Launchpad a way to be in a Darkwing Duck reboot if Darkwing does live in St. Canard.
@@Greystone2023 Possibly out of wisdom. Run a show too long and you risk ruining it and having stale seasons. If Ducktales ends on a high, but the world keeps going... that's pretty good.

That's great for taking 30 minutes to pull together. I use to roleplay as one of the penguin henchmen that Tuskernini has around 10 years ago, one of my running jokes was that Tuskernini has cameras set up all around St. Canard & we're supposed to be watching them & taking clips for him to use in his upcoming pictures & for blackmail of course, I'd make music videos using clips from the show as sort of a side thing Cecil (the only penguin minion that ever had his name addressed in the series) did because he has footage from St. Canard & wanted to have some fun with them. I know that pulling together a music video takes time, typically took me about 3-4 hours but I had a solid memory of the show & which episodes I needed to go into for which clips, it was all fresh in my mind back then because I was constantly rewatching Darkwing Duck out of obsession, that's how I found out that one of the penguins actually has a name. In the episode A Duck By Any Other Name when Honker & Gosalyn were kidnapped, Tuskernini says "throw him in Cecil!" to one of his penguins so yeah, I managed to catch that. It was fun making videos for roleplaying purposes but that was a long time ago, I know it takes a lot of effort matching the clips to the song & seeing how well you pulled this off, man I'm impressed this only took you 30 minutes.
I just realised. In the original show, Negaduck is from a different dimension. Here, he's one of the few who is NOT from a different dimension.
Fantastic edit. It tells that the new animation fits so smoothly with the original theme.
EDIT: WAIT! If they're from another world... does their world have a Darkwing? Will we one day get a Darkwing/Darkwing team up?
Imagine it...they are from the original Darkwing's dimension. So we could have Jim voice his original hero of the night again.
@@amidark6518 I feel like now that Jim Starling/The original Darkwing in the show canon has been set up as Negaduck, I doubt we'll get the original Darkwing, but it's not too far fetched, so maybe.
@@sweeneytodd1414 that's true, but also I saw that the machine just creates things out of thin air? So I don't think the villains are even from another dimension, kinda gets rid of dimensional crossings unless they do Darkwing Duck as a show again and his girlfriend does something to bring about some reference to the 90's version, as she is a magic user.
So okay, it IS different dimension science! So we have a chance!

Back when the episode came out that turned Jim Starling into Negaduck and introduced Drake Mallard as the new Darkwing Duck, I proposed a theory that Negaduck would find a way to manufacture villains based on the TV show (i.e., the Fearsome Five - err, Four) to battle the new Darkwing - thus bringing the villains we saw in Launchpad's favorite TV show to life in the DuckTales universe. It looks like that may be happening.
Jim was confirmed not to be in this season sadly, so it has to be some other means!
To expand a little, the devs have said that there is an episode this season where they could have worked Negaduck in, but they felt that shoehorning him into a episode did not do the character justice. The character was so big that he really needed to be the focus of the episode. It certainly looks like this is the mentioned episode.
Bushroot looks like he's seen better days.
And the Liquidator makes himself look even more buff now

Oh yes! Darkwing Duck is coming for an new hour-long episode from Disney's DuckTales 2017 TV show at Monday, I'm so excited!
So we're getting the rest of the Fearsome Five (Megavolt, Quackerjack, Bushroot, and the Liquidator) who seem to be brought to the real world from the in show show, Taurus Bulba, and apparently, Gosalyn. Not gonna lie, if this is a backdoor pilot for a Darkling Duck reboot/spinoff, I am ALL FOR IT!!!

@@somehelluvafanboy8357 In Ducktales 2018, Darkwing Duck is a TV show analogous to the Adam West Batman. Launchpad is a superfan. He and Dewey went to an appearance of Jim Starling, the actor who portrayed Darkwing (voiced by Jim Cummings). They learned together that there was going to be a Batman Begins-style movie made and they went on a misadventure to get Starling into the main role of the movie. No points guessing the name of the actor the studio cast to play the role. Turns out that guy is a superfan, too, but Starling is too obsessed with getting back in the spotlight to realize it. Of course, the production ends up getting ruined.

@@somehelluvafanboy8357 Yes. Although Darkwing fought all of the above mentioned baddies one on one, it was Negaduck who formed them all into the villain group The Fearsome Five (a parody/homage to Spider-Man's enemy group The Sinister Six).
I seriously can't wait for this episode, it's going to be awesome.

I might be looking too much into this but in season one there have been darkwing duck cameos/forshadowings in season 2 they created an origin story not only for darkwing duck but also Negaduck as well as give darkwing duck a few more appearances in season two mostly likely to all the character to improve his combat for the darkwing duck reboot and now they brought back five more darkwing duck villains megavolt, liquidator, quackerjack, bushroot and steelbeak who's already apart of the main story and one of the main antagonists of season three so with this the one hour special will put darkwing duck to the test aside from the mcduck clan helping him and they also brought back gosalyn and set up owl owlson as the new mayor of saint canard which is further setting up for the darkwing duck reboot.
From all of this they been using ducktales as a whole to slowly set up the darkwing duck reboot

Hopefully this episode does indeed evolve into it's own spin off series.
They better have the original theme for this new show. Or at least very similar to the original like how the new DuckTales kept the same theme just slightly changed/updated but still rocks!

I know Darkwing Duck is reboot in DuckTales 2017, but I do wished it had it own series just like the original from the 90's.
I.... I just want this to be a spin off already. I also was really hoping for the fearsome five to be old behind the scenes people that would've gained their powers from their respected careers, like quackerjack being a prop master and megavolt an electrician. But it doesn't matter, I'm still so hype!!! I NEED THIS AS A SHOW NOW!!!!!
When I first learned of this. I was excited, especially, because I saw Gosalyn. I then saw video with her in it. I thought the voice was nice. I of course miss the old one, but I think she died. :( I am so lookihng forward to this episode! :D
I have a theory here:In the original D.W show,there's an episode where D.W comes to "our world",where a cartoon producer listens to the events that happen in Darkwing's universe and turns them into a show,and maybe,that's what happenend in the reboot,except,by the end of it,that universe's Darkiwing dies and that results in them cancelling the show in the Ducktales world,that would explain the zombie Bushroot(He has been alive for a long time and needs water or something) and maybe Bulba's scars(If he even is from the TvShow's universe,the same applies to Gosling being older).
That was amazing! My only gripe is the repeated use of the Bushroot clip. Could have easily used a clip from the original Duck Knight Rises episode with DW and OG DW fighting each other.

That is absolutely the fatal flaw with this edit though. I thought it was okay in editing but the more I watch it the more I wish I changed it.

First off: yes, dear lord yes this was needed in the world.
Second: I wish they had all 4 kids in this episode instead of just Dewie. I think it would be interesting to see all 3 of the brothers fighting to get Goslin's attention only for her to show an interest in Webbie in the end. Heck, maybe include Donald as a Robin to Darkwing's Batman just for a joke.
Frank did confirmed that all the kids will be in it, not just Dewey.

Okay, obvious backdoor pilot. I'd be all for a Darkwing Duck reboot and a Disney Afternoon TV Universe if DuckTales doesn't get cancelled in the process. I don't think it's fair if the original series gets 4 seasons and a movie, but the 2017 series only gets 3.
