I really hope this reboot hasn't been shelved because I loved the original _Darkwing Duck_ series and I loved Darkwing's appearances in _DuckTales._ And still hoping to see a _Legends of Fandom_ episode on _The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes_ season 3.
I think Beaks should only show up in the reboot during crossovers with Gizmoduck, as he's basically Fenton's obnoxious Lex Luthor. Maybe he teams up with one of Drake's rogues and Team Darkwing and Gizmoduck have to reluctantly team up to stop him. Other than that, the less Beaks, the better.
Some other Duck heroes that could be guest stars leading to a big team-up: -Donald as PK, The Duck Avenger -One of the Ducks from the Mirrorverse game -Maui Mallard as Cold Shadow -The Mighty Ducks (Wildwing, Nosedive, etc) -Maybe give Launchpad a jetpack making him like the Rocketeer.
I'm still holding out hope to once more see the terror that flaps in the night. And I wouldn't mind seeing Mark Beaks in it. His and Drake's egos might clash well together and imagine Darkwing wanting to beat him in order to show up Gizmoduck.
Great episode. I was bouncing off the walls when the Dark-wing Duck themed episodes aired. And the "Let's Get Dangerous" special had me hyped for the possible (at the time at least) reboot. Hopefully Disney won't waist what may be a possible opportunity. Sidenote: I am still mad that they never developed a Disney Infinity Dark-wing Duck figurine!

Would I like to see a reboot? Absolutely! Darkwing Duck brought me so much joy as a kid that I want kids today to have their own Darkwing Duck series! Plus, Tumblr of all places conjured some interesting and dark headcanons on what could’ve caused the in-universe show to be canceled, especially regarding Morgana MacCawber being a lauded actress Jim Starling had an unrequited love for.
I really do wish they would do the dark wing duck reboot because I really enjoyed the 90s show when I watched it on Disney+. and everything you talked about in the video, the reboot sounded really incredible 🍀🤩🎟️🎟️
Supposedly, the lack of proper conclusion to the Darkwing storyline in Ducktales may've been a reference to the fact that the show in universe never got a proper conclusion either.

I thought that Seth Rogan’s take on Darkwing Duck would be more geared towards Adults Ala Harley Quinn, but TMNT Mutant Mayhem shows that he can write for a young audience, too.
I really hope the reboot still happens, as I love how Darkwing Duck is done in the Ducktales reboot. Expanding upon it sounds like fun. Or maybe even just another show that takes place in the same world as the Ducktales reboot, akin to Milo Murphy’s Law to Phineas & Ferb. I’m guessing this reboot’s slow progress has something to do with why the Ducktales reboot wasn’t renewed for another season. Apparently the Disney higher-ups changed at the time & resulted in a new vision for their upcoming projects. That’s what happened to Warner Bros & their animated projects lately. Along with how it looked like Disney ain’t looking too interested in serialized stuff lately. Leaks like that can be a double edged sword for me. On the bright side it shows off behind the scenes stuff that’s been out of the public eye for years. It’s neat to see how The Owl House started in its original pilot. But on the downside its still a sketchy thing… I don’t mind Mark Beaks. A Mark Zuckerberg or Elon Musk style baddie that not even the other villains like around sounds like a fun drama causer. But I can see how others can not tolerate him, as that’s literally one of the reasons he exists.
I’m just glad this was made a month ago and 2 years ago that way I still have some hope that it happens and also I hope steel beak is in it in some way since he is still alive along with some other fowl agents so I hope we see some kind of resurgence of fowl with them trying to put it back together or something
This sounds awesome, I especially like the idea of herb muddlefoot seeming to be this big, bumbling doofy idiot who's secretly an intelligent, cunning and resourceful detective, maybe not "Sherlock Holmes" but more "Jim Gordon" smart but not a genius

I think it would be cool if megavolt a son who has a crush on Goslin they could have it if they want to is that the son of megavolt does not like his dad being a super vent and just finds the whole thing embarrassing And wishes his dad would stop being a villain and spend more time with him and not working on being a villain They could have it if they want that. He feels neglected like his dad not spend nearly enough time with him. Could you imagine if later in the remake of the show they decided to redeem Megavolt and have him become a good guy if they want to
Rumor has it that the reboot of Darkwing duck was to be separate from the 2017 reboot. However, from this storyline bible it is truly an amazing reboot of the iconic Darkwing series.
I would love to see that and the rest of the Disney Afternoon back and in canon to the same universe. And also maybe a revival of Kim Possible also with a connected universe to other shows
If Beaks joins the cast, it'd be great if he got a reverse Riddler treatment. You know how in the comics Riddler went after Flash and wound up an actual threat to the hero? I'd love for Beaks to try going after Darkwing only to find himself on par with Condiment King. Only other way I see his inclusion working is as a thief of Gosalyn or Quackerjack's tech, and that's just retreading old territory

I would guess that the show bible has leaked now because Disney rejected their pitch. I could be mistaken but I’m pretty sure Frank Angones said that his and Matt’s pitch was separate from the Seth Rogen one that’s been stuck in development limbo. I heard the reason the reboot entered Development Hell was because Seth Rogen wanted the show to be disconnected from Duck Tales 2017, meaning that a lot of the show's concepts and characters would need to be rewritten heavily.

I don't know why Disney wouldn't greenlight the show after how well the DT crew with that reboot. Maybe they're steering away from reboots for a little while, maybe they just weren't impressed with it, maybe they didn't think it'd be a successful as DuckTales, who knows. Well, there was the sequel to the 2007 TMNT-movie, where Mikey had to fend for himself because Splinter and the brothers are de-mutated. I'd love to hear your thoughts on that!

I had an idea for a neat little parallel between universes… So, assuming all the characters in the Ducktales universe have a Darkwing counterpart, then maybe the villain counterparts could slowly appear throughout the series… Since the villains from “Let’s Get Dangerous” were brought in by Taurus Bulba with the Ramrod, it’s safe to assume those guys were from a different universe… Maybe the Ducktales (2017) universe’s Bushroot never went through with the experiment that turned him into a plant hybrid, and decided to work for a different company that could fund his work? Though, I can imagine as the 2017 version of St. Canard starts to become more and more like the one from the original cartoon… The villains will slowly emerge one by one (accidental or intentional)
I think Steelbeak will come back as season 2 main villain and he reforms FOWL. Forcing Darkwing Duck and others to get serious and have to get some training and upgrades and allies to help them.
I felt the Darkwing reboot within Ducktales was handled VERY well. But this is the first I had heard about the show bible leak and I am genuinely disappointed they did not follow through. I thought the response to the Ducktales reboot was overwhelmingly positive and keeping that momentum with Darkwing was a given.
I really hope this is a situation where someone points out, "Hey, they haven't done this yet and I'm making a video about it" and then a few days later there's a damn trailer for the thing.
They decided not to go wit the setup from Ducktales 2017, even though it was really really good and all the fans wanted it. When Darkwing Duck Was pitched by the Ducktales 2017 team as a spinoff from that show, Disney didn't go for it- Because they're stupid and they don't know what their own studio is doing and they hate their art team. This new Darkwing will be an entirely new project. LIkely ironically falling for all the problems that the Ducktales team parodied in The Duck Knight Returns episode.
Well I enjoyed the disney darkwing duck series growing up when it was the most awesome tv show. I hope we get reboot if works out hopefully on disneyplus. Another great episode of legends of fandom from the blockbuster buster this week. Lol!
That proposal does sound really cool! Love to see more but we're just going to have to wait on Disney on this one. As much as I would LOVE to see this reboot, especially if the folks who did Ducktales 2017 are behind it, I'm...leery about the idea. I only say this because given the fact that Disney is among the studios who screwed over the animation industry this past year alone, I suspect they would destroy this reboot in a number of ways
I hate Mark Beaks too, but I won't deny he'd make a great villain for DW, being even MORE of a narcissist. He'd be the Lex Luthor to DW's Superman. Edit: I'm also considering writing some fanfic based off this pitch.
I don't think that this reboot is such a good idea because from what I just heard about Gosalyn, they would make it (like almost every other film that Disney has been making in these recent years) be too much of a girl-bossy one! It wouldn't be as good as the original 90s series was made as, including the fact that they would also stupidly use the same lazy low quality art style that they used when they decided what the characters in the 2017 DuckTales reboot would look like! I got soo disappointed and annoyed after I watched a few episodes from that reboot and found out the higher ups made the artists do that, and also ruined the personalities of those characters! They messed up the quality of the theme song of it too! So good that Disney is either debating the idea of making this one or cancelling it, because I very much don't want this other popular show to meet that same terrible fate!

Bushroot's original voice actor has passed away so they had his character not say anything.
Plus the design was based on when he sheded his skin.

I think Steelbeak will come back as season 2 main villain and he reforms FOWL. Forcing Darkwing Duck and others to get serious and have to get some training and upgrades and allies to help them.
If the Darkwing reboot is as good as Ducktales 2017 its money in the bank for Disney. Toys and games would just be so easy.
I felt the Darkwing reboot within Ducktales was handled VERY well. But this is the first I had heard about the show bible leak and I am genuinely disappointed they did not follow through. I thought the response to the Ducktales reboot was overwhelmingly positive and keeping that momentum with Darkwing was a given.
I really hope this is a situation where someone points out, "Hey, they haven't done this yet and I'm making a video about it" and then a few days later there's a damn trailer for the thing.
They decided not to go wit the setup from Ducktales 2017, even though it was really really good and all the fans wanted it. When Darkwing Duck Was pitched by the Ducktales 2017 team as a spinoff from that show, Disney didn't go for it- Because they're stupid and they don't know what their own studio is doing and they hate their art team.
This new Darkwing will be an entirely new project. LIkely ironically falling for all the problems that the Ducktales team parodied in The Duck Knight Returns episode.

Well I enjoyed the disney darkwing duck series growing up when it was the most awesome tv show. I hope we get reboot if works out hopefully on disneyplus. Another great episode of legends of fandom from the blockbuster buster this week. Lol!
Beaks should appear in Gizmoduck crossover episodes maybe team up with NegaDuck in a Luthor/Joker style team up.

That proposal does sound really cool! Love to see more but we're just going to have to wait on Disney on this one. With their financial woes and them trying to blame other outlets for their shortcomings who knows. I really hope they reconsider with this and the gargoyles live action series coming up😊

Darkwing Duck Reboot be nice
As much as I would LOVE to see this reboot, especially if the folks who did Ducktales 2017 are behind it, I'm...leery about the idea.
I only say this because given the fact that Disney is among the studios who screwed over the animation industry this past year alone, I suspect they would destroy this reboot in a number of ways
I hate Mark Beaks too, but I won't deny he'd make a great villain for DW, being even MORE of a narcissist. He'd be the Lex Luthor to DW's Superman. Edit: I'm also considering writing some fanfic based off this pitch.

Part of this pitch reminds me of the anime Spy X Family.
I don't think that this reboot is such a good idea because from what I just heard about Gosalyn, they would make it (like almost every other film that Disney has been making in these recent years) be too much of a girl-bossy one! It wouldn't be as good as the original 90s series was made as, including the fact that they would also stupidly use the same lazy low quality art style that they used when they decided what the characters in the 2017 DuckTales reboot would look like! I got soo disappointed and annoyed after I watched a few episodes from that reboot and found out the higher ups made the artists do that, and also ruined the personalities of those characters! They messed up the quality of the theme song of it too! So good that Disney is either debating the idea of making this one or cancelling it, because I very much don't want this other popular show to meet that same terrible fate!
Reboot of darkwing duck will not take place because one of antagonists have name NEGAduck. Now there may be problems this
