When the Queen is walking through the hall, it is 70 seconds, her years of reign. I think the hall is her accomplishments and dedication and her life from the start to the end

She penned it in the 1890s as an appeal for woman's suffrage and women's autonomy saying (paraphrase) that women don't need to be under the protection of men because at every great moment of their lives from birth to death -- they walk alone. 😢

The part where she steps to the side of the coffin and sees her younger self saluting her really puts into perspective just how long her reign was and how many historical eras she lived through.
The modern attire we're all used to seeing in our modern day in photo and film, and then the WW2 uniform that we only see in history books or in museums or black and white grainy photographs. Both of them together contrasting eachother is an odd sight.

This scene has so much symbolism. We see her past come to her as she wrestles with what the right thing to do is: Abdicate or stay Queen till death. If you notice in this scene both of those Elizabeth’s are symbols of her past life. they are here in all black to symbolize those deaths of her past selves and now they’ve made way for this seasoned, wiser Elizabeth to finish out her time and join them. Also the beauty of walking from that deep darker colored inner church area to the much brighter area is so beautiful and symbolizes her eventual walk into heaven

There's a poignant comparison in this scene that goes all the way back to one of the first scenes in Season 1, Episode 1. We see Elizabeth walking into Westminster Abbey with her father to marry Phillip. She is surrounded by people all there to support her. And by the end of the show, the final scene of Season 6 Episode 10, we see Elizabeth walking out of the chapel that is completely empty. No King George or Queen Elizabeth. No Margaret. No Phillip. No Winston. No one to guide her or support her anymore. She is completely on her own to make it work, and that long walk from the inner chapel through the outer chapel to the door is quite symbolic of how long she had to reign, really, on her own, before she departed.

Chills, literal chills! The symbolism with that last shot of her walking the long walk into the proverbial light is unmistakable. Even though this was set 17 years before her actual death, you could think of it as her soul making one last round during those quiet hours before her funeral, encountering her younger selves and being reminded of what parts of her she had to sacrifice to become Queen, before finally walking away and crossing into the afterlife, bringing to an end the second Elizabethan age. Probably the best way to wrap this magnificent series.

So much symbolism and meaning here, it's such a beautiful ending. From Phillip leaving her side, symbolizing that he passed before her and she had to move forward without him. Then, her seeing herself lying in state, then seeing her past-selves. Her thinking about how far she's come and her life's journey. Then her walking through the corridor and through the door which opened without anyone there, showing only light on the other side, symbolizing her passing. 😢 Rest easy, your Majesty.

Did anyone notice the path Queen Elizabeth walks on at the end, if you ignore the triangular pattern at the starting of the path and the box at the end of it, there are exactly 17 lines in between the middle over which she walks over. Signifying her remaining 17 year reign from the time the show ends at (2005) to the end of her reign (2022). After which she walks into the gate with shining light, symbolising afterlife.

I attended the lying in state in Westminster Abbey, queued for 13 hours from 3am in the morning. I would have queued for 13 more hours just to have been able to pay my respects again, for the sense of stability, belonging, and empathy she provided us during the celebratory and difficult times. I queued for what was 12 hours 45 minutes in the cold, and when I begin to walk down the steps of the hall, it felt like she was there. Like her living soul comforting every person in the room, resting on the top of the hairs on your arms, slightly suffocating but no struggle, I don't cry but I began to, trying to hold it back, the atmosphere was far unlike any other funeral i'd been to, one where I didn't want to leave. I'd never had the pleasure of meeting her, but I had the honor to be able to pay my respects to her before they closed the line. RIP Queen Elizabeth II

An impeccable way of representing the end and a new beginning. Her decision not to step down (shuffling the cards during her speech to skip that part) signaled a rebirth, a re-commitment to the rest of her reign as Queen. In the group photo scene, she appeared to reawaken, re-commit to her duty. I admire how Peter Morgan wove in the imagery of her funeral 17 years later, but the final scene suggested that she was still very much alive and walking alone, to continue her duty as Queen. Brilliant ending that can be interpreted in many ways.

    Rest in peace your Majesty.🫡😞😢😭

I've never been much of a Royalist so I didn't think I'd care when she died. I'd have sympathy for her family of course, as anyone would, but it wouldn't be an earth-shattering blow. But it was. And now, a year later, after having spent that year watching those who claim to be governing the country she so loved and did so much for sell it out and betray us over and over again.....
I'm honestly a tiny bit glad she never saw just how quickly people with not even an infinitesimal shred of the honour and love she had for the country have defiled and utterly betrayed everything she stood for. The day we lost her...... the biggest part of the soul of England died with her.

The powerful scene is combined so well with the epic music. That dynamic and lively rhythm when the young Elizabeth Windsor showed up and paid tribute to the self that she devoted her life to; the beautiful melody when Claire and Olivia appeared and at last solemn music symbolizing the long reign that the Queen has enjoyed and her services to the Crown, accompanying the last journey to the end of her life, ending with a peaceful tone that stays in the collective memory of the world. And the walk, although she had to finish the last period of her rule by herself, this was undoubtedly a tremendous tribute to her remarkable life and the legacy she left behind.
