i watched it all, never need to skip
Hello, I like your video very much, and I want to reprint your video, with the title of the book and the address of youtube account. Is that ok
So why are you in Wyoming????
rhythym is not a guitar technique it is one of the fundamental elements of music and is something poeple get taught and study.
Neat little side note. Some 20yrs ago when I worked for 411 for mobile (when not everyone yet had a mobile phone. In fact it was bell Atlantic before they were Verizon) a man called looking for Paul Reed Smith (I won't say where.) Being a guitarist I said buisness? No residence. THE Paul Reed Smith? Yes. OK then! That was an interesting call I'll not forget.
Most important guitar technique to master: tuning
bending shows you know what the tuned note sounds like.
@@commentfreely5443 without proper tuning, every note is bent.
@@elkvis lol
@@elkvis Yeah, but with proper bending, you don't need to have your strings in tune. Just don't use open notes. xD
im making tutorial for it
so stay *tune* for that
After years of repping PRS, you finally meet the boss. I'm happy for you.
David Nwokoye They have know each other for years, and have been on stage together many times.
@@joemeyer6876 Yeah....
Tyler: What's the most important part of a guitar?
Paul: yes
the player
what's the guy's name in steely dan?
yes.
PRS himself is one of the most profound and legendary figures in the guitar industry! Seeing you Jam with him makes you one lucky and awesome figure yourself I believe! Awesome!
RC32 couldn’t agree more
@@Qwickv Ahh thank ye my man!
Tyler, you're always way too careful and hesitant while saying things on your mind worrying that it might annoy someone or someone may dislike it. That fact however is, that you have one of the purest hearts I've seen. So it doesn't really matter what you say or do, you'll never hurt anyone and if someone does dislike what you say or do, then don't mind it. It's misdirected.
Paul Reed Smith is 100% crazy lmao
Often the feature of a genius.
It was a great show to be at, very informative. Thanks to Paul and Tyler for taking the time to come to our area.
PRS being a guitar builder Genius means nothing else but that.
Thanks for how hard you try in the video, mate.
What I love about Tyler's videos is how much compassion he has for a prs and the music industry. CZcams is a really difficult job to do and it's amazing how he was able to just communicate with Paul about technique or the reality of the music industry. I thoroughly enjoyed this video and I hoped to see more stuff like this
Cool, man! Good stuff. I like how unphased you are by Paul and his driven, creative personality. You two do well together.
If I could interview anyone in the guitar world, it would not be Paul Reed Smith.
You would if he started giving you artist grade customs!!💯💯
@@geraldpierson5883 so would I. Roll the frets how I like please. Thank you.
Crazy talk. Maybe if he's not your #1, you wouldn't say no. I get the chance to see him tomorrow.
Kdogg788 Wouldn’t interview him because he won’t shut up and let him ask Paul a question without him playing through it. Take a minute and let him ask a question without complaining about the game or playing through the question. Incredibly unprofessional :/
Disagree.... closest thing to Leo Fender or Ted McCarty alive today, maybe along with Bob Taylor... both impressive men who accomplished a lot.
Very cool, wished I could have gone! Thanks for the video, was very fun. Congrats to the winner!
Such a fun interview! Keep up the great work. 👍
I love Paul. You did (and always do) a wonderful job of interacting with him. You guys also did a great job jamming.
Forget the time stamps. You and Paul have really good chemistry. Paul is extremely wise with his words, but is open minded and expresses what ever he pleases. I really appreciate seeing this. You Tyler, are very knowledgeable, but your not ignorant. You are very open minded and that's something I can fully appreciate and respect. So I thank you for this video, It was no doubt a good one.
Paul was a little much. That could have fallen apart fast, but you killed it Tyler, and kept that crazy train on the rails.
Zak Koslo what’s the time stamp for that
@@benhoward4660 he was a grumpy, argumentative old man literally the whole time
@@dylandamuth2964 well atleast he's spitting facts, remember facts don't care about emotion/feelings...
@@meznivfinish6739 yeah.. fact don't care because they aren't people. But people can certainly "spit facts" without being pricks about it too.
that's like saying Steve Jobs or Elon Musk was a little much... genius IS ALWAYS much.
Forever Ive seen him use PRS in all his videos and I thought he was crazy but I ended up going to Guitar Center today to buy strings and I cam across a PRS 245 (ive been looking for a les paul) so I played it fell in love with playing one cord went home grabbed tell and traded it in for one and I will NEVER play a different brand PERIOD
I could have kept watching this for hours! Love your work Tyler, keep it up 🤘👍
Paul's a good guy - thanks for sharing!
Love you trogly!
Beautiful session!
Thank you for doing this
It's fun to see Paul with a big smile on his face as you're jamming over his backing track!
Great vid. Really enjoyed the interaction between you and Paul.
I just got my first PRS guitar a few days ago. I got rid of an Epi SG because every time I played an open D chord it was like a 1/4 step sharp. Picked up the PRS and it was perfect! Love the clean tone as much as the high gain ability. I’ll own a PRS American built model at some point but right now I’m playing a PRS SE Standard 24 and it’s perfect.
Just got a PRS a few weeks ago. IT IS AMAZING
You and Captain Lee have really taught me just how fun dicking around with Paul is. He just seems fantastic to hang with.
Nice profile pic
Great video and i can tell there is a lot of mutual respect. Good questions, good discussion, and it's also funny. Paul is a visionary and he cares about the craft of guitar-making. He is also a pretty aound guitar player himself. I really appreciate what he says and where he is coming from. I would love to meet him some day. I had an SE Singlecut at one time but sold it. I need to get a PRS again. This video just makes me want to get one even more.
My local guitar store just recently got PRS custom 24 and 22's in and they are my favourite feeling guitars
PRS is by far the best guitar company in the world. They make the absolute best, and quality wise, they embarrass Fender and Gibson. Almost all of Paul's guitars are absolutely stunning. Try to find a LP with the quality of maple tops that the PRS have. And their customer service is second to none also. They will back up their instruments for life. I saw a video on here a while back where a guy sent his back to the factory because there was some finish issues along the side of the fretboard, and they sent it back to him fully refinished at no charge. The guy was floored. Also, how many people with the success and size of a company they started is doing clinics in small music stores and giving away their guitars? Paul is a humble and grateful guy, and it shows.
Dude that’s a huge honor!!
Brilliant, loved every minute.
paul is a crazy old wizard and i love it
Man, I wish I could have gone there, I'd love to get a free lifetime subscription to Guitar Super System. Bring the show to Minnesota!
Paul’s right! I took the plunge and sold a Les Paul Traditional an a Strat and bought a S2 singlecut. Nobody is going to pay me and I’ll never waste my money on anything else because PRS guitars are for me,”GREAT”. I’m saving up for a “Paul’s Guitar” now. Don’t know if I ever will, but I’m thrilled with what I’ve got.
So awesome man that your doing stuff like this
Great work.
Well worth the watch. 🤘
opening jam lead was super nice man idk if u guys rehearsed that but it definitely seemed like it!
oooo shit bud! congrats on your endorsement!
Yeah good job man. Content, history and talent.
Lmao. I did a master class with Paul and he wouldn't stop talking about the three parts of music. The whole camp.
I_Like_It_Here yeah Paul’s an amazing Luther but he is kinda nutty
The more I watch videos of Paul, the more I like him... legend.
Here's a positive comment! Really enjoyed this session with Paul, you asked great questions!
That was very cool of tyler to give the audience lifetime access to gutiar super system
one of the best vids ive seen in a while, very funny. thanks
That MG10XU above Tyler's head is a fine little mixer and USB interface. Also, pretty cool talk.
Great vid.
I saw PRS via a 'corner feature", 82 or so Guitar Player magazine..
Interview shows him hand carving a 'santana' style top..
Loved how he admitted the '58 Jrs and Specials were what he modeled after.
man, cruise by a local shop, '14 or so and ask "why does this cat look like Paul Reed Smith ?"
Answer, "Because it is."
Hats Off! FANTASTIC!!!
why don't this video have 1 mill likes cause it deserves it. i can relate to paul so much
Music is win. You're winning sir. Congratulations.
Awesome video!
Awesome! What an interesting, brilliant, eccentric dude.....tylers pretty rad too!
that was beyond awesome
Congrats, very cool. 🔥
You go Tyler!
That was awesome
Haha so glad he said my answer! "RHYTHM" it isn't the sexy answer but it's something every musician needs to know how to do.
(And it's something that a lot of amazing lead guitarists are also very good at.)
Beautiful robin trower bridge of sighs
Most humble guitar builder PRS♥️🤘
not...
@@MrMongo321 I was about to say that aha
This guy isnt a public person.
Correct.
worst spokesperson ever, and not a good guitar player. Make guitars and shut up.
Your a good dude. Enjoy your content
Do you take a step back sometimes... to look from outside the bubble? Within a few years... you got your house, built a business.. and you are now friends with the man himself! You were arguing with Paul Reed Smith himself; pretty cool! 🤘
Youre playing is a lot better!Great man!
excellent!
Anyone else feel like Paul Reed Smith would be a tough guy to work for? 😆
Hell yeah he would ahaha
He has an explanation for everything which I could see how it can get annoying but he is very wise and intelligent in the business so it’d be worth it 😂
Dude yeah he fricking rips poor Tyler apart lmao.
@@UR_Right24 Haha, i can see that reference
Chris R Tyler handles Paul's attitude very well
I agree with Paul on the Rhythm. As the late great Malcolm Young said “If it don’t swing it don’t mean a thing”
I know about prs guitars thanks to CZcams and Andertons and now I own 3 prs se guitars and I'll own a fully fledged 594 McCarty in blue swamp ash one day then my collection will be complete 🤟
awesome.
You can really see there is a mutual respect between these two. Great video man, 36 minutes flew by, I hope you get the opportunity to do more things like this.
PRS is one of the best sounding guitars I ever heard, except listening to Paul (not all). Most guitarist are blinded by people who grow up believing "this brand (other brand) is the best" even thought PRS is much a better guitar in the modern age.
was such a great video holy s%*@.
Great video Tyler!!! Paul is such a great guy, can't wait till I add a PRS to the collection....
This is great answers of the the Jedi Knight and the Jedi Master
I was there and it was great (I blurted out the answers to two of the jokes)! I've been trying to email Tyler to clarify the email address I signed up with in my awful handwriting; I fear I've pestered my way out of the sign-up perk...
The Most fun key to play guitar in is the RIGHT key, lol
Thank you for posting this awesome video
Paul is the best boss ive ever had always there always working to improve things and just fun sadly im not working there anymore but was amazing while i was
Did you mention Paul is playing Tim Pierces' # 1 PRS
Can't wait for the "Habits of Michael Schenker" video, the only guy who can play power chords for 40+ years and still make them sound interesting (I'm sure this description will catch his curiosity at least)
That was pretty good...
lol PRS is a character
Beautiful guitars. Custom 24 in Whale Blue is the one. It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine....maybe...one day xD
Not a 64 Stratocaster in Olympic White with a wammy bar ?( Asian voice )
I believe in you! For me it is a Strandberg 7 string, I would kill for one. It'll be years before I can afford it tho..
No Stairway!

Congratulations dude anyone who works as hard as you deserves it!
Paul seems like such a cool dude! I actually want to buy a PRS guitar now lol
I'd love to own a 24 fret prs wood library. Costs about 5k. If I had that cash I'd buy it. If I was famous I'd play a prs, not because I'd get paid, not because guitars have custom models but, because they make the greatest guitars.
Paul makes incredible products, legendary. But he can be a difficult person.
I fucking love Paul and I'm not even a PRS guy. :)
Very very nice! I met Paul at NAMM years ago. He couldn't have been any nicer. I remember one guy who worked at his company who played incredible solo guitar. Good times!
What a great video!!!
I get the feeling I've seen this video 100 times before.
Question- Did Paul request you to play the Silver Sky or was this your personal choice?
Dude C#m is the WAY!
in my mind my playing sounds like the intro jam but when i actually hit the strings i sound like the old man from that office episode (the roast of michael scott), if you have seen it you know what im talking about lol
This is great!
People hate prs because of how much they cost...so...the hate them because they cannot afford perfection I mean I can’t either but I still love prs and I think they are awesome..just because you can’t afford someone else’s hard work don’t put them down for charging so much because they put A LOT of time into making it what it is..it costs that price for a reason so don’t hate them for what they charge but love them for what they make
Paul Reed Smith should truly run for president
I just wanted to say that I started to watch Music is win on youtube and he would talk about the PRS guitars and how good they were, So I decided to check one out and OMG they have ruined me for all other guitars. He might be endorsed by PRS but he isn't wrong, I went to buy a fender deluxe and thought it wasn't as nice as my CE24 now granted the ce 24 is $200 more but it's so much nicer to play than a fender, I can't wait to get the Silver sky prs fender rip off, I bet it's way better than anything out of fender.
PRS is very strange, like a Creepy Uncle!
You are such an inspiration to me :))
I think things like this are a big reason PRS continues to gain popularity. When you've got Gibson releasing their play authentic videos and bombing and then you've got this...
Not sure why people go after Paul. He’s having fun and mixing it up with people. The guy busted his rear end to make it to where he is.
As far as the guitars being ‘snobby’ etc, well no one says that about a triple A top Les Paul.
The McCarty 594 is the best guitar I’ve ever owned. And I have them all. World class instrument that excels in every way. You get what you pay for and the prices are well worth it, unlike some other high end models I could mention.
History will look back on Paul very well. We should feel fortunate that we get to enjoy his guitars!!!
