so to get matte do you just switch the white and black in metallic and roughness

When you do the bucket fill with the true white and black, do you click on the photo of the car? When I do it it does not change the color on the little box on the right side like yours.

Love the video and Appreciate the Tips, but when I do this process on the regular iRacing template on photoshop the spec map shows up through my Decals (Number and Sponsor Decals). It may just be me because i am a noob with photoshop but idk. If you could help me out that would be great.

does this method work the same way with the vector smart template? cause i had to put my logos on in photoshop and not illustator cause i didnt know how to get the files over to photoshop to spec map them.I am new to this only done a few cars and only do them for myself and cousin thanks

This is going to be a terrible answer, but it's just what I have always done. I vaguely remember having trouble with it being compressed, I could be wrong though.

It won’t let me change the file to a targa when saving it, it only lets it be saved as “PSD Files”. Any suggestions?

Instead of saving you need to click save a copy. This was part of an update a few months back.

how do you do multiple cars do you use the same id number

yeah you use the same id number just save it in the folder for that specific car. for example you would go to Document>Iracing>Paints>(whatever car you want)>the save it using the name Car_num_(iracing account number)
