@@ihavenoidea4727 if peds and growth hormone were mandatory protocols for combat athletes you'd see way LESS CTE and other permanent injuries because they'd heal faster and more effectively. The fighters that get it the worst are always the nattys. Look at Tony Ferguson, bisping, and all the other naturals who have serious permanent damage because they couldn't heal as much. Fighters on a protocol have taken similar or greater damage but that is not reflected in the wear and tear of their bodies or their longevity. Look at gsp, moving up to middle weight and getting the belt at his age, and Randy couture, who was at one point the oldest champion. That's the power of trt. Your problem is you think gear is cheating and bad for your health. When the scientific reality is, when used properly gear is first and foremost a MEDICINE, they literally give anavar to five year old girls who are brought to the trauma ward, to speed up recover and recover more than what's naturally possible. Every male fighter should be on a trt protocol and all fighters should be on growth hormone. And since most already are because growth is safe for women and very hard to test for, I guess that proves it. Being principled is great, when science is on your side.
Seriously, your principles are getting fighters seriously and permanently hurt. Recover matters more to them than normal athletes, and recovery is the primary benefit of taking gear as an athlete. Even more than the performance boost. It's compassionate to the athletes to help them recover by leveraging all modern science.

Best bare knuckle I’ve ever seen! Damn, our boys looked fantastic! I’d give it to Mendes from what I saw, but judges were heavy on Alvarez. Amazing fight! Chads head movement reminded me of Tyson, dodged so many hard hits and he has leveled up his boxing to another level🫡👏💪

I’m not sure what the judges saw, but I had Chad Mendes winning this fight. He took the first two rounds & 4th round, in my opinion. I feel like he landed more punches that did damage. He also exchanged any damage he took, almost immediately.
Both men showed some clean footwork & high gas tanks. Especially, after some wars they’ve been in & the age that they are at. Much respect to these veterans in the fight game.
On another note, does Mendes look like he’s been juicing? I’ve seen him compete at 135 up to 155 & his back, shoulders, & traps were never that big or defined.

Better to have them be allowed and let everyone have the choice to use them or know if they're fighting someone on them then have them banned and have natural guys fighting guys on PEDs without knowing it and possibly have an unfair advantage because they know how to trick the system or have the money/popularity to get away with it.

This might've been my favorite fight this year in any sport and definitely the best bkfc fight I've seen so far and I've seen a lot of them. These guys look more like boxers than anyone else in bkfc but they both have always been 2 of the best boxers in mma, especially Eddie. I miss the days of them in their prime.

Best BKFC fight I've seen so far. The punch by Eddie when ref called for a break had a big effect on why Mendes went down in the last round
that was way earlier in the fight and it had no influence whatsover on mendes going down in the last round eddie simply caught him clean wit the bare knuckles

Absolutely amazing fight all the way to the end. Can't believe the pace these guys maintained throughout the entire bout. Round five was faster paced and more entertaining than many first round fights! Great conditioning!

Two of the best fighters to come from MMA. Both outstanding and upstanding guys. Great fight and a really tough one to score. Id have to go with Eddie because he was just a little more busy and threw more punches. Mendez had the bigger shots Im happy with either way honestly. Hoping these guys stick around BKFC for a bit. We need some more top shelf fighters.

What an amazing fight! These guys are true warriors and competitors. You have to respect the fighting spirit of these gentlemen. They have enough fame to find a different way to make money, but they truly enjoy the fighting game. So much respect to both of them. The fight was very evenly matched and an impressive way for Mendes to retire.

crazy good fight... both guys looking peak fitness, surprising at this point in their careers. Mendez was always in good shape but here he's even more bulked up monster mode, still very fast. Both showing great stamina too. So many almost landed huge shots by both guys that would have dropped either. Major score for BKFC

I met Chad Mendes in Santa Rosa at a Mule Deer Foundation dinner and he was a nice guy, bigtime outdoorsman, humble as could be, he took the time to talk to me a bit about his fights in the UFC. This was a very close loss, I was pulling for him, could have gone either way, he definitely messed up his hand during the fight. Takes a lot of heart to step in this ring, they both did great.

I had Mendes winning watching live and watching this replay solidifies it for me. Both warriors! Very cheeky from Alvarez landing during the break which lead to that knockdown. Mendes responded like a champ!
