I would love to hear a deeper tone with Abigail. Darren was AMAZING as always, but a deeper register would pull the ROLE together better. However poor Darren, his headphone was NOT right, he wasn’t able to hear the correct tracking to put the pitch together.

It doesn’t impact the series in anyway. Race doesn’t matter at all in the series first season. It does in the second season but in the first it doesn’t.

Right!?! When they wrote and workshopped the song, she sang both the male and female parts, but when they finally have a guy sing it makes sense to change the key. There are some great covers that do just that too and it sounds amazing!
Honestly I don't see the need for a key change. HE HAS the range, I can spot it here and there in this song and question why he chose to change the pitch. It could be a stylized his way, or he may need more practice. My bet? those two didnt rehearse enough if at all together before this show happened.

I usually like Anime, horror, thrillers sci-fi and comedy... and a very small place in my heart for 90’s and early 00’s teen movies (10 things I hate about you, She’s all that, empire records.. etc). So I’ll give it a few episodes because if it’s this good from a musician using its story to create a brilliant musical it must be really good.
i think this particular bridgerton storyline carries better through music like idk it feels like this is the medium its supposed to be in for some reason
