    You inspire me so much I go outside with my poachade box and go to paint something, anything and then I freeze up because there is a person there. I'm so shy that I get sick thinking people will look at the painting and say something terrible.... or nice! But because of your videos...I go out any way. And maybe I will get the balls to paint en plien air! I have done it a few times but I knew no one would be there! (3 times now) Lol😛Thank you! ❤

      Hahaha! Well most people don't ask anyway and I don't even know it happens until I'm editing the video. The hardest part of painting in front of people is getting comfortable with the "ugly" stage. That just comes from painting enough to trust your process. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel Matt!

      @MaTTheWish Před 2 lety

      @@WoodieWebber yeah, good point. I don't trust entirely trust my process. Most people don't know how ugly a painting can be at certain stages. Even the artist themselves may want to quit a painting because it looks horrible, sometimes you have to just finish it to fulfill the vision.

    Woodie, your work is beautiful but what makes your videos so unique is the sense of humanity they evoke. It’s kind of a beautiful thing to just people watch. What makes me most excited as an artist myself is the fact that painting on a canvas still attracts such curiosity in a world full of distractions. I love the way some people just interrupt their busy day and spend a little time watching what you are doing. Your interaction with them is a breath of fresh air and you show a patience that is a rarity these days. I would like to make two suggestions. Your choice of music is stellar but I find myself wanting to know who the artists are so maybe you could identify the musicians and songs for each of your videos? In fact, I would love to know every track on this particular one. The second thing is that it would be nice to see the final photographed version of the piece. The color is not always accurate just because of your environment and your camera is probably on auto white balance. Usually, when you show the final painting, the big promo screens come in over it almost at the same time. Anyway, just a few thoughts but I look forward to every new video you post. Keep doing what you’re doing.

      @WoodieWebber  Před 2 lety

      Great question! As I told the woman in the video, I'm asked about this often. I fully explain my reasoning for the blue underpainting in this video: czcams.com/video/isFWRovpLak/video.html
