I love how he included the lore, makes the whole thing super entertaining and interesting
This is my FAVORITE video atm, I’ve watched it seven times since he uploaded it
Agreed!!!! I've never played anything other than Elden ring; this is amazing.
Only reason I watched it
Abosolutely! I've know almost everything about the lore of this game, yet Elvis still managed to present new bits and pieces of lore that I've not yet been aware of. What an amazing video, must have taken a lot of time and effort to put together, it was insanely entertaining :)
Agreed. And to think i almost didn't watch it (this is the first video of his i have seen or even heard of), but then i noticed the "lore deep dive" part of the title and decided to give it a watch. Very happy i did.
If the creator sees this, i have only this to say: Awesome video. I will def be checking some of your other content and if they are anything like this, then you have earned yourself a new subscriber.
A slight correction about The Witches of Hemwick: the witch enemies use spoons as weapons, not knives. Their grab attack is them trying to gouge out your own eyes.
Metal af
bruh
@@cheezburgrproduction Punk as fuck
That's where the pebbles come from!
@@seanrasmussen2877 Quite thrilling.
I can’t even imagine how long this video took to make. The research, editing, gameplay, THE RUN. Massive hats off to you for creating this.
Bc the hats are so big? Lol. Agreed 👍
He has an editing team
@@hughjaenus2235edit these nuts
Slow, slow, quick quick slow.
One correction about Cleric Beasts and their size/strength, it is generally thought that their monstrous size and power is due to the higher amount of blood ministration received in life (taken in order to ascend closer to the old ones, or provide strength to hunt other beasts as church hunters) this makes them stronger in life but also more monstrous after they fall to beasthood. This effect also causes the vicious cycle of beasts appearing > hunters using blood ministration to grow stronger to fight them> hunters eventually becoming even stronger beasts> hunters requiring even more eldritch doping.
Yeah, I agree with this theory. It's backed by the many smaller beasts that have been locked away for a long time in Old Yharnam and the larger, more recently transformed beasts roaming Central Yharnam's sewers. I thought I'd mention the wendigo theory anyway as it's an interesting idea. Clerics most likely transformed into the largest beasts because they had easy access to the blood.
@@ElvistheAlien 🤯
I remember this from The Paleblood Hunt
That damn Beast-Hunting Industrial Complex
My man didn't only do an all bosses no death run, he also did a full lore explanation along with a detailed guide on item locations and descriptions, I love your work Elvis
20:20 Fun fact: I've heard, that the boss's name is actually a mis-translation. It isn't supposed to mean that the beast is hungry for blood, but that it lacks the blood in its body (because it has been flayed). That's why it doesn't bleed when hit, but spews poison instead.
I love that so much more as a boss idea
But the poison in the game is Ashen Blood
Also, the Blood Starved Beast was very likely a blood saint who transformed along with the rest of Old Yharnam. Or so the wiki said.
Bloodless beast
🤓
Fun fact about the Ludwig fight, after he transitions to his second phase you no longer get the serrated bonus damage against beasts
Ironic how guiding moonlight made him less of a beast, considering the werewolf trope
1:17:35 it’s a small detail but i just love how Logarius’ slow stagger turns into a confident stride as he thaws
Same
The timing of this video is perfect, I’m literally just finishing my 4th play through after a long hiatus
I just logged in for the first times in months about 30 minutes ago. Crazy coincidence, enjoy your playthrough✌️
Same here for me lol, I took a break on the last boss for awhile and was just about to load up and slap his ass
I'm down to help if you want. My PSN is OldHunterEcgbert ✌️
Exactly the same for me, but the hiatus wasn't that long tho
It's hard not to admire his effort! Appreciate all your work Elvis, hope everyone has a great day
There's just something so special about Bloodborne that hits all the right notes that keeps it in my number one spot.
Those poor patients in the Research Hall make me incredibly sad. The ones begging Maria to spare them, the one on the bottom floor looking for his eyes that aren't there, and the ones in their hospital beds begging for you to kill them... in my experience, a lot of the game's themes/dark lore didn't get to me mentally but the big headed patients definitely got to me. It was a really uncomfortable area for me.
Crazy to think this game is 8 years old and is still one of the most beautiful games I've ever played.
Hell, 8 years isn’t anything. Feels like yesterday.
Even FFX and SH2 which both came out in 2001 still hold up beautifully in terms of graphics and gameplay.
Same with MGS2.
SH3 is also still incredible looking.
I don’t think there will ever be a time when those games will suddenly be “ugly”.
Doubly so for something as incredible looking as BB.
Looks like a ps3 game. The atmosphere saves it
Ive always believed the Moon Presence boss fight isn't intended to be difficult. It is supposed to be challenging, sure, but not terribly- it is a representation of how the night and hunt changes you- from a meek hunter to a hunter seeking greater things, including altogether ascension to a greater form, whether noble intentions as a Great One or otherwise.
The Moon Presence being not too powerful also makes sense lore-wise. That's why he (she? it?) doesn't attack other great ones directly, but nurtures hunters (that he can revive an infinite amount of times) to do his bidding. He has, in fact, awesome powers, but those powers don't include the extraordinary physical power and resilience of other Great Ones.
I actually really enjoy the structure of this video. A no-death run that involves gameplay tips, lots of lore, and various boss difficulty rankings. Unironically just a great video.
Honestly this is probably the easiest way for me to sit down and finally learn Bloodborne lore with Elvis's humor and editing sprinkled about
Man, so glad you did this! Bloodborne is my number 1 game of all time, so waking up to this is perfect. Thanks for the content, as always.
What an amazing video! Full story explained, full game guide, fun commentary and a challenge run! This might actually be the ultimate Bloodborne video.
Best thing in Bloodborne? Eileen the Crow! "A hoonter must hoont" Iconic!
what an absolute amazing video, the passion and the time and the care u have put into this is literally dripping from the screen and is so contagious that u have now passed the love u have for this game onto me. thank you for this experience
I love bloodborne I wish they would make a second game
As someone who doesn’t have a ps4 it truly makes me sad I couldn’t enjoy this world
@@badollies I’m sorry I hope you get one soon
watching this video is kind of my attempt at enjoying Bloodborne without having a PS
i wish they would put it on pc so i can play it again
I still believe fromsoft is scared that if they make a sequel to any of their other souls games it's gonna turn put like ds2
Love seeing Elvis talk about bloodborne, so a whole video dedicated to it is definitely welcome!
00:36 my heart dropped for a sec there
I feel you, i was about to be hyped for pc bloodborne.
I love this. Many youtubers do play through commentaries, but don't often discuss the lore along the way. Great work my dude.
Never expected soulsborne content from Elvis, a pleasant surprise indeed
Massively appreciate this video man , my love for bloodborne is just so dam high. I’m actually almost finished probably my 50th play through long after I’ve 100% it. Something about this game arguably my favourite of all time keeps me coming back even without a 60Fps update. So glad to hear you’ve enjoyed this so much even all these years later.
Man this video was unexpected! Love that Elvis geeks out on the lore and setting of this masterpiece... I have been absolutely consumed by this game since last summer after finally caving in an getting a second-hand PS4 after wanting to play it for YEARS. One of the greatest games ever, and quite possibly one of my all time favourite pieces of media in general.
This is awesome, just a few days ago I started a new Bloodborne playthrough after a long break and now this gets uploaded.
It's always nice to see people show their appreciation for this masterpiece. It will forever be among my favourite games of all time.
As a fellow souls-borne enjoyer I have to say I'll sit through this thing in one session thanks Elvis 🙏 just thought about giving Bloodborne my yearly playthrough and I see this behemoth of a video
I have watched and rewatched Bloodborne lore countless times, this is my comfort game and I’ll always treasure it. So happy to see you finally talk about it 😈😈
same, it feels weird having a game that can bring me so much anger as my comfort game
As someone who has always loved looking at the whole Bloodborne lore and asthetics from the outside, and has been unable to actually penetrate it due to how much I suck at From Soft games, this video is precisely what I needed! Thanks for making it.
Also, your hunter cosplay is lit af!
I’ve been playing Nioh and haven’t played Bloodborne for a fat minute. This one is my favorite of all time. My GOAT. I appreciate your deep dive into the lore! I’ve spent hours in Wikis but much rather put this in the background while Niohing around.
I've watched a few Bloodborne lore videos, but I really like the format of your video. I like how you talked about the lore while showing how you moved through the levels and beat the bosses, and integrated the lore with gameplay really well.
I'm looking forward for the Bloodborne book. ^^
This video is so well made and gives bloodborne the love it deserves. This community around it is why it is one of my favorite games to come back to every year
Hey Elvis, just wanted to say that your Bloodborne videos got me back into the game after a long while, and it feels like I'm experiencing it for the first time. Thanks for the entertainment, cheers 🎉
So happy for the lore included! Bloodborne definitely has a special place in my heart and is my favorite fromsoft game. Big ups Elvis!
Man, I love this game so much, it’s such a comfort game to me.
I play it whenever I feel especially sad / anxious / etc. It has this weird magic effect to it - it somehow relieves stress even though it’s supposed to be stress-inducing.
It’s always interesting to listen about Bloodborne’ lore. And this video is not just that, but also a no death run with explanations!
tysm for this video!!💖
Elvis I really gotta thank you, I was intimidated to start this game but it looks really interesting & I'm glad you were able to fully explain everything in it for me. Thank you :>
I've played this game so many times, even finished a gun only run early in the year, but I was completely unaware about at least half of the things mentioned in this video. Great work both on the video and the run, not dying against the DLC bosses is already impressive by itself, let alone once on the whole game.
Amygdala bosses (both the main boss and the one in the chalice) have a nice little cheese that's real nice for anyone attempting no death/no hit runs; run/roll between legs, stand right under the tail stub or just past it, and if you find the sweet spot it'll almost guarantee she does a jump attack. If you stand still, she won't even hurt you when she lands, and as she lands you'll be right by her head. Hit the head a few times, then go back under the legs. Rinse repeat. There's a bit of practice when it comes to knowing position and also how to not trigger an arm swipe as you run under, or a back attack, but with right positioning, you can cheese her so easy.
Videos where you can feel every bit of love that was put into it, are the absolute best!

Amazing stuff!
I absolutely love giant lore videos, and in conjunction with you doing a Deathless, all bosses run.
_Perfection_
Love the passion u share for this game, nice work dude :)
I really enjoyed this video. It gave a fresh touch to the channel and the combination of lore and no-death run was entertaining. I don't mind seeing videos like this once in a while here. Good work!
Props to you for making this!
This was a really good video, Elvis. Thank you for all of your work on this, as it's clear you put a lot of work in and clearly love the game. I'm an angry gamer and don't have the patience (or blood pressure) for most FromSoft games, but I do love the lore and aesthetic of this game. Your playthrough was entertaining and educational - what a pleasure to watch 😊
All memes aside, this is an incredibly accurate summary of the story and goes into a lot of important details. A true hunter indeed.
I always enjoy your videos but this one is truly special. Bloodborne is one of my favorite games of all time and you made it full justice with all the lore.
"Fear the old blood" 🙌
This was a very well made video, I really enjoyed this.
Ahh yes, Gascon, my favorite BB boss
Woah def one of the best games ever. Loved it so much I got a half sleeve 🤷♀️
The love Sekiro a bit more but only bc of the Japan Style. I wish there would be Level up etc in Sekiro 😭 Took me like 6 months to Beat the Game ☠️
This is incredible man, the gameplay explanation and the lore dive. I like your other stuff, but these BBorne vids have made my respect for you grow a lot, like damn this is well done. Thank you for that tip about stunning the wolves/dodging them near the start of the game, I feel dumb for not figuring that out.
This game is so fascinating, I'm still obsessed with the lore. Never beat the game lol. I watched all of VattiVidya's stuff on his channel, and I still listened to Elvis talk about the background lore.
Brador isn't actually blood drunk. He's just trying to keep the church's secrets.
how did he end up in the nightmare in the first place if he's not blood drunk? did he enter like the PC and Simon? in that case why keep the church's secrets and lock himself in a cell? To what end and for what purpose? What does he stand to gain? You very well could be correct, I'm just trying to iron out details for the novel :)
It's all pretty vague of course, but I seem to remember Brador was the hunter who found and killed Laurence when he first changed. It's possible he became blood drunk when he skinned and wore his master's flesh as a coat, but I think it's more likely he feels guilty and chooses to be there to protect Laurence's legacy. That's just my guess though ✌️
I’m actually sure the church forced him into the dream so know one knew there mistakes and while there he lost his mind being stuck in a cell
Put this in my watch later for a month because of the length. Finally got around to it. What a good video. Gotta love informative videos about interesting things that drip with passion.
This is my favorite video by my favorite CZcamsr, about my favorite game. I've got thousands of hours in this game and learned new things, like that the giants break their own legs, I never realized. Great video dude.
I just played this game for the first time last month. It’s such a masterpiece of a game! If you’re interested in the lore I highly recommend reading The Paleblood Hunt by Redgrave. There is a well done audiobook on CZcams too.
Micolash doesn’t have to be annoying. You can force him into the first fight room first try every time. He always spawns in the center of the center hallway. Just approach him from the opposite direction of the fight room and he goes in first try. Also imo Micolash is like a 4/10 difficulty tbh. It’s more boring than difficult.
pobably the longest youtube video I sat through, the lore is so good makes me want to play
Fantastic video and by far my favorite game of all time! I will never give up hope for a sequel
This is probably my favorite along with sekiro and maybe daemon’s souls!
Did you just have that new movie review taken down?
This is bs I was actually enjoying that review
Yeah I was in the middle of watching the video!
I didn't get a chance to see it sadly
This was a very pleasant surprise~!
Bloodborne is one of my top favorite games and I really like you and your content.
You're an amazing lore teller by the way! I love how you told it as you get to the parts where they are relevant.
So this video is pure bliss.
I have watched this video three times now and it is still very entertaining. 10/10, amazing video
What happened to the new upload
Same I was about to watch it and said it got private
The greatest thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on the govt. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in Gold, Silver and digital currencies (BTC,ETH...)
I just searched her on Google and she's a licensed broker, I'm contacting her right away, thanks.
So delighted seeing my broker talked about on CZcams, This was exactly how I got recommendation about Mrs Jessica Leigh Caden. At First I was a bit skeptical but eventually I gave her a trail with my little investment and I got huge profit.
Bitcoin has been the most profitable investment online. If only you can trade with professional broker that will work you through the process needed.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable video. I actually come back to it every here and again. Thanks for posting :)
This is hands down my favorite video of yours! If you feel as passionate about BB as you do any other games, i would love for you to make something more like this with the combination of lore and gameplay!
Watching someone gush about Bloodborne always feels great. It’s also my favorite game of all time, and seeing other people have the same amount of love that I do for it is always such a fantastic experience.
God this video reminded me of how much I love this game, now I want to replay it. Fire video, I didn't expect it from this channel.
This video made me finally play Bloodborne, it is such a good game. Thank you Elvis
Been watching this as I go through NG+ and its amazing, good work man love this type of content!
I’ve been very curious about this game, especially the lore. Thank you for the work, Elvis! Great video
Amazing, I was hooked from start to finish
This is exactly the video I was hoping someone would make. Thank you.
I'm so glad your making these videos this is my favorite game of all time
Incredible work! Really appreciate the lore deep dive.
finally got around to watching this and it makes me so happy to see others who are this passionate about something thats been my special interest for a couple years now! looking forward to the old blood
I’ve been watching your videos a lot these last couple weeks and they’re hella entertaining. I’m not really a big bloodborne fan but I have played every formsoft game except elden. I’m going to support the kick starter cuz you’re a very entertaining dude. Keep the content up.
This is probably one of the best youtube video I watched. Game tips plus lore video. Great job!!!
Any video of Elvis just talking about something he loves is a video I’ll rewatch endlessly.
Well done man this would've been ultimate clench especially late game. Also awesome video very cool. Great editing, script and general fluidity and pacing along with the boss difficulty ratings I very much enjoyed this video Mr Elvis
This is unironically one of the best BB lore videos out there
Super fun watch and awesome hearing your enthusiasm about the game as well as it's lore.
I've been subscribed to your channel for years now! Since when have you been a Bloodborne and what all have I missed out on? I definitely need to catch up! I will never say no to more Bloodborne content!
I admire the recognition of saying amygdala the wrong way but standing 10 toes on the way you want to say it. Great video. Bloodborne holds so many great memories in my life
I love the dedication and passion you put into this video.
I wanted to add that the houses in Hemwick aren't necessarily the residence for the poor, but rather crematoriums from the looks of them
one of the best channel out there awesome play unique and perfect
10/10, fantastic video I really enjoyed the lore integrated with your playthrough.
I don’t even play BB but this is really interesting
Would absolutely love to see more videos like this, it was really fun and informative to watch!
Nice, Always love it when you mention Bloodborne in your videos.
seriously elvis, you gotta do more videos about games. i like it when you dive deep into the lore and point out their flaws! it's a fun and entertaining watch, i can sit here and watch these for hours.
LOVE THIS LOVE EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING LATELY
so glad to see ppl still making videos on this game as i only jusy finished my first play through of it about a week ago, its wild how many people are still devoted to it and i get it after playing ngl
Love this, keep up the good work always looking forward to watching ur content
Love the concept!!!! Speedrunning while getting the Lore aswell 😬👌👌
Amazing deep dive and play through. Learned a lot I didn’t know. Fascinating stuff
Good stuff Elvis. I encourage this content with any other or future games you enjoy as thoroughly as Bloodborne. Definitely in my top 5 favorite games. Good video all around.
I like to say that you’re the reason why I got back into this game. I used your methods to battle the bosses, but the orphan of kos was still the most difficult boss I ever tried to fight and I never could beat it same with Lawrence and also you’re the reason why I’m streaming it on my Twitch so thank you for inspiring me to get back into this game
Wow great work Elvis !!
