I love how Bloodborne in particular makes you realize after you’ve struggled and overcome foe after foe that none of it matters in the grand scheme of things and you can’t meaningfully change anything. I think that kind of existential hopelessness is a key part of cosmic horror
You do change quite a bit!
No more Church, their blood source is killed. (Ebreitas)
No more eternal hell for the hunters, the source of the nightmare is slain. (Orphan)
No more ‘Every Great One loses their child’, the cosmic predator is killed. (Moon)
The actual town is screwed to hell and back regardless, but you DO save future Great One infants from being slaughtered in future hunts, you stop the eternal suffering of the hunters and you prevent the atrocities of the church from continuing (like literally harvesting children)
ive been wanting to play Bloodborne for so long now after finding out its got a dark, existential story with emotional undertones. i just hope i dont rage too hard cuz im genuinely so intrigued, it sounds so awesome
@@spimbles Story is phenomenal but you have to read/explore/piece things together. But I will say out of all the Souls type games its the only one that answers all of its questions. Theres a reason for almost everything.
Theres a 140ish page book on the story. (The Paleblood Hunt I believe?) Just kinda like a summary of the lore, but it works waaaaaaay better if you play the games first so you know what is being explained.
Story is crazy simple on one hand and really complex on another. But its great!! They really do tie EVERYTHING up.
You can lessen evil but never destroy it.
@@wr5488 Yeah it's interesting Bloodborne honestly sometimes only aesthetically feels like cosmic horror, the fact we are able to see and hunt and even become a great one is not very cosmic at all. Redgrave also points out how we can clearly discern the motivations and rivalries between the great ones in an ethological sense, making them out to be just monstrous creatures just very, very far up the food chain.
Weird how Lovecraft describes these terrifying, ancient, otherworldly horrors when what terrified Lovecraft himself was stuff like having to share an elevator with an Irishman.
Understandable imo
well, he was a bigot, so... that's what that was about lmao
Or the extradimensional terror of air conditioning
Note: the fish people story where the protagonist goes to this town where people turn into fish monsters due to their alien ancestry, was written because Lovecraft found out he had welsh ancestry. Gotta love that New England pride.
You mean being a delusional racist
English people look like fish
That's a myth actually. Lovecraft was proud of his welsh heritage.
Pure troll energy.
I thought that was "Rats In The Walls?"
Annihilation was absolutely an awesome and underrated thriller. The "shimmer" and the entire journey into it, not to mention that "talking bear scene" (which unnerved and unseated me, literally) displayed a very different type of terror...
agreed, annihilation is amazing
Read(or listen to) the Area X trilogy. Annihilation is one of those rare moments in adaptations where the books and movie are radically different but equally enjoyable
i remember when i first saw annihilation in theaters. at that time i haven't heard of that film, let alone cosmic horror. at that time, me and my best friend were going thru a lot and he got us tickets to see it. we really weren't expecting much from it and after the movie we were blown away. one of the best days ive lived
True cosmic horror is having such a vivid memory of seeing this entire video, only to see it uploaded for totally the first time and getting to witness it all over again 👾
CZcams is an Entity that is worshipped, feared and hated.
I've had exactly this happen with a few of Elvis' videos. It's wild and it hurts my brain.
...AND your arm is slowly melting into tentacles..
Pssst, pro tip for anyone who wants to support Elvis with his cosmic troubles without having to rewatch the entire video, you can play the video and put the tab on mute. Do not put the video on mute directly, just the tab. The watchtime will still count even if you're active on a different tab. ヽ(o♡o)/
I was wondering about this just as I saw this comment. Thanks!
I also wanted this info. thank you so much!
Also to put it on half speed!! Increases engagement time per video!
Yikes I hope no one is parasoicial enough to do something that cringy.
o...k?
1 of the staples of cosmic horror for me is that if you find yourself entangled in it, the best solution is get out as soon as possible without asking questions. If you find yourself trying to figure out why the cosmic horror is occurring you're already screwed.
Very true; don't get stuck in the illogic loop of trying to fathom the unfathomable.
As for Love, Death and Robots, there is another episode called "In vaulted halls entombed". Its one of my favorite episodes.
As i'm looking through the ldr catolouge, i'm realizing that many episodes are based around the feel of cosmic horror/inspired by lovecraftian entities. One very silly episode named 'when the yogurt took over' is a story of humanity gradually becoming more and more dependent on... sentient yogurt.
Another great one from that series is “Beyond the Aquila Rift” with some Lovecraftian elements.
Reading about the yoghurt one reminds me of _The Stuff_ lol
I don't normally comment on vids but just wanted to drop a few words - thanks for your work and dedication to vids like this, Elvis! There's obv a lot of shit that goes on behind the scenes to create long format vids like this that have value every minute we watch, so we appreciate your work and hope that you don't have to find struggles with something like this again - def gonna binge some of this sweet ass content just to help the homies out
Papa bless my guy, have a nice holiday
One I would highly recommend is The Ritual, it's a cosmic, psychological horror movie about a group of friends who go on a hike in memorial of a friend of theirs who was killed in a store robbery, but wind up hunted by an old god
*Recommendations: the video*
Absolutely perfect. We have so many similar favourites.
You got 6 whole likes
Omg is this the real one topic?
"The empty man" was great. I felt like I was watching an amazing creepypasta come to life, translated beautiful to film.
Totally unsettling flick.
Omg it does feel like a creepypasta
after watching this video, I've decided to go on a cosmic horror movie binge and I've gotta say, there are some incredible picks here that I've never heard of before and I'm absolutely in love with them. I've watched Annihilation, Color out of Space, and Resolution so far, and I'm going to watch The Endless soon. These are easily some of my new favorite horror movies
The endless is probably one of my favorite more recent movies. It shows if u have a good plot a budget doesn't even matter. The other two by them ( especially "spring") are REALLY good too
The Void and Black Mountain Side are two personal favourites. I've seen almost every film on this list, and they both stand out as being in the top tier.
Also, it isn't as much cosmic horror as Annihilation, but Alex Garland's newest film Men will definite scratch that itch, if you liked Annihilation and want more of that beautiful bizarre imagery.
@@caifengforever2796 I watched The Endless and thought it was amazing, it does a great job of tying together threads from Resolution. I think overall I liked Resolution a bit more, but they're both fantastic
@Jeff Schmidt the void is one if the only movies to legitimately freak me out. I still think about it
@Jeff Schmidt literally was debating to stream Men last night. Love garland
"Two possibilities exist; either we are alone in the Universe or we are not, both are equally terrifying."
~Arthur C. Clarke
"Two possibilities exist; either an Elvis the Alien video will be taken down for copyright or it will not. Only the former actually happens."
~Isaac Clarke
I'm starting to think this quote is tethered to the deletion of the video lol
If I effing see one more smartass quoting the same thing trying to sound deep... Then I give up on Gen-Z's brain matter for good.
who belives in extraterestrials
@@aleksandarmarkovic2664 A lot of people. Statistically, it's almost impossible that life ONLY exists on Earth: even the rarest attributes of our planet (such as having such a comparatively large moon, causing the tides, or the moon and sun appearing the same size in the sky) apply to untold billions of planets throughout the universe.
Realistically, extraterrestrial life does exist. The real question is whether we'll ever discover it (or to some, whether or not we already have).
Awesome list. I’ve got some new movies to check out now. I’d also add the Castle Freak remake to the list for the ending alone. They leaned into Lovecraft big time on that one. Also glad to hear ya liked Pandorum. I really enjoyed it and often wonder why it’s not more popular
Love Pandorum, one of those movies I saw as a barely conscious kid and then rewatched as an adult but it’s definitely one of my favorites.
They remade Castle Freak?? I had no idea
This was the first 4k Movie I watched on my first 4k screen, and I LOVED it. I've watched is multiple times. How is this not more popular? Everyone I've shared it with has loved it too.
Annihilation is by far my favourite cosmic horror movie.
The visuals are beautiful. Perfectly visualises what it would feel like to be surrounded by things incomprehensible to the human mind.
Read the book! It’s so much better than the movie, and if you love the movie as much as you say, you’ll fall in love with the book
Soap bubbles are quite cosmic.
omg so happy you mentioned possession - it's one of my favourite movies. I just love the slow build up and how it suddenly shifts from family drama to surrealist horror. Structurally, there's very few films like it imo. Also if you know that the movie is actually inspired by the director's own divorce it makes a lot more sense (but still not a lot of sense haha).
I have no idea how you'd label that movie one of your favorites. The US theatrical release was edited so poorly it's nearly unwatchable, and the "director's cut" found today is still a difficult watch.
The brief bits of actual cosmic horror to be found pales in comparison to the nonstop screaming matches shared by the leads. It's headache inducing and the worst sort of drama; like a drunk schizophrenic arguing with their reflection in the window of a packed city bus stuck in gridlocked traffic.
I understand why it's considered a cult classic, but I'd be more than happy if I never watch it again. As a 90s kid, the best way I could describe it would be like finding an unlabeled VHS tape in the attic and putting it into the living room player, only to discover it was a very private home movie your parents made years ago. Sure, my curiosity was satisfied, but I don't feel like it was worth it.
@@Hawk7886 ok - pretty sure i only watched the director's cut to begin with. I think the way you described it is kindof why i like it (i also think it's quite funny at times) but i understand it's not everyone's cup of tea :)
I liked how in the game Song of Horror the difficulties modes was named after writers (like Edgar Allan Poe etc) and the last hardest mode was called "HP Lovecraft".
The Magnus archives is a really good cosmic horror Podcast if anyone likes that kind of thing. Each episode starts out seeming disconnected but over time you start to discover more and more connections between them.
Junji Ito hitting whatever dance move that was is everything I needed right now, thank you
Having mentioned The lighthouse, you should also try the game "No one lives under the lighthouse" which is also a lovecraftian game featuring a lighthouse master stuck on an island with strange villagers and dark secrets that definitely DO NOT live under the lighthouse.
The lighthouse is definitely Robert Eggars love letter to old school sea captains and Neptune mythology. Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe each give performances of their careers here, it’s very hard to pick a favorite between the two in this movie. The underlying themes and story that isn’t flat out said is pretty interesting and worth investing some research after viewing this film. Every single item in this movie is accurate to the time period, along with accents that both actors “made up” for this movie, combining different old foreign languages together. If The Northman is Robert Eggars Magnum Opus film, then this is 100% his most underrated gem of a film. It’s weird, it’s in black and white, and there is a lot of metaphorical speeches given by the actors. It all comes together to give us a great mystery movie as well as a super original psychological Thriller.
It'll never happen but I'd love it if Robert eggers made a Hellboy movie
Fascinating background information. Thanks!
@@mickeymouse7726 I don't care who does it, but if they ever try another Hellboy movie, they better get Guillermo and Ron on board.
Still have to watch the Northman, but I have a feeling that either way Eggers may have even more up his sleeve yet, which would be a dream for me. He might be my favorite current filmmaker yet. I hope there are many more years of movies with him, and I’m pretty sure we are getting a Nosferatu next!
All I know is that if I see the word gibbous used more than once, I'm probably reading an H.P. Lovecraft story.
Signalis is a indie game that is a like a mix of Resident Evil and Silent Hill mixed with cosmic horror. Absolute underrated gem of a game. Highly reccommend :)
Thank you so much for this awesome compilation of cosmic horror. I'm so glad you were able to get it sorted!
I appreciate your hard work and dedication to this video. It shows. I love these long format videos. Thank you Elvis for the entertainment
I absolutely love the fact Elvis made a video about cosmic horror because I´m a huge fan of the subgenre as well, but the peak of the video is the editing and the hats. I laughed so hard with the "deep sea fish" hat with light.
No matter how many times you have to re-upload a video, I'll always watch it. It sucks that excellent creators keep getting hit with unecessary roadblocks that prevent them from bringing their creations to the public; but works like yours will always be noticed, regardless of how hard any corporation tries to stifle them. This video in particular is incredibly well-done and informs the audience about its subject matter while also giving us a look into your own mind as you explain each subject (which is probably the best part of any of your videos, you have a genuinely fun and interesting personality that fits perfectly with the topics you choose to discuss). Thank you for continuing to push for your work to be allowed to exist on this ever-changing and relentlessly frustrating platform. Creators are what bring views to CZcams, NOT the platform itself; you're a prime example of that fact, Elvis the Alien.
Also, you may not agree with me on this but I would consider Europa Report at least an honorable mention to this list. In case you haven't seen it, it's an intense character-driven film from 2013 about six astronauts journeying to Jupiter's moon of Europa to search for traces of extraterrestrial life within our solar system. The first hour has some really thrilling moments that capture the overwhelming anxiety of being in space and its inherent dangers (interspersed with a little humor and a lot of science). The last thirty minutes are when you truly feel like you're watching a horror film on a cosmic scale, and that's all I'll say to avoid spoilers. I've watched it half a dozen times and still find it just as exhilirating, heart-stopping, and perfectly bittersweet. It's also technically well executed with a lot of NASA-based science fact alongside its alluring science fiction.
The Lighthouse scene in Annihilation was by far the most enthralling and absolutely terrifying experiences I've ever had during any trip to the theater, ever. If you know, you know...
😶..my browser history...I gotta go🏃🏿♂️🏃🏿♂️
You’ve gotta read the book! If you thought that lighthouse scene was mind blowing……
@@krisr4285how can a book display the pure art you see in the movie? I have a pretty imaginative mind and I can’t wrap my head around how I would’ve ever visualized this movie in my mind. It’s a 10/10 for me
I can’t tell you how valuable this video is. Thank you for curating
Silent Hill seems to have a huge lovecraftian influence around it now that I think about it. The way entire town acts as a living entity of its own and molds itself according to the individuals experiencing it. It's intents are unknown and unfathomable and the fact that it's not evil, it simply just doesn't care about you makes it so much more eerie and Lovecraftian.
Say you don’t understand Silent Hill any clearer. Bro. The town ain’t sentient. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You should watch the movie "Jacob's Ladder". Without it, there would've been no Silent Hill.
@@Vecchio_Rhosod85 will do! Thanks for the recommendation man
@@SaadRKhan 😁
I’m so glad you mentioned The Mist and Uzumaki, they are what made me realize I loved cosmic horror
Cosmic horror has been a long time favorite of mine. I want to say I got introduced with dead space when I was a teenager but I remember for sure. Thanks so much for this video!
I remember seeing Pandorum back in 2013, and was kinda appalled how panned it was, i thought it was a perfect evolution of 80's and 90's styles into the 2010's, and the twist was fantastic. Plus the monsters were cool and Dennis Quaid needs to be cast as a bad guy more often.
What an awesome movie...
Ben foster is hands down the most underrated actor living
Agreed. I don't why it got panned but I loved it beginning to end.
I watched that movie so many times. Great film.
The Waffle House has found it’s new host
As someone who loves this genre and has spent many hours looking for new content, I was !!shocked!! to see not just one or two, but several titles that I had not seen. EXCELLENT WORK! Might I add The Ritual to the list.
Dunno if it helps for the algorithm, but im rewatching this video a bunch of times now, and whenever i have to leave my dog alone for a bit, he can listen to you talk about cthulhu monsters for a bit. Great video!
Huge cosmic horror fan here. The Void, The Endless and Event Horizon are my absolute favorites.
Check out in the mouth of madness
I’m a huge Endless Horizon simp! I’m in love mostly with the architectural style of the ship! Feel like I want more of it but also feel like a sequel would not be good, so I just keep rewatching the movie hehe!
really glad you went and did this topic, as a avid H.P Lovecraftian reader and enjoyed I love what you put together.
Gosh what an incredibly fun video! thank you so much for taking the time and effort to do this!
Thank you for making this video even though it was an absolute nightmare! I really love it, and hope it didn't ding your love of cosmic horror!
Good thing you make videos good enough for a rewatch mate 👍 Sorry this was such a hell, but it truly is appreciated!! And thanks for all the recommendations, got a good list to start next year off!
These are my favorite videos you make! Giving it another thumbs up and a rewatch for all your pain and suffering for getting it back out
Absolutely incredible break down! Thank you for sharing many games I’ve never heard of.
A few to add to the list for those interested:
- Scorn - a puzzle horror game with an unsettling environment and uncanny valley feeling of the entire game but a lot to left to the mind to try to uncover what happened to this post apocalyptic race.
- Outerwilds - more of an adventure/puzzle game but a LOT to discover in a time loop space exploration game. Highly recommended.
I kept waiting for him to mention *SCORN* ~ maybe he just hadn't played it yet, which I gotta respect when ppl don't talk about stuff they don't know. It's definitely Giger art brought to "life" IMHO
Thank you Elvis for talking about cosmic horror. Ever since I read the Lovecraft collection book (i think i saw it in this video) I've been obsessed. The idea of it all. The atmosphere. Thanks for the various media recommendations.
Such a great video. This made me go on a lovecraftian binge. So far i watched the Lighthouse, Underwater, the void, the mist and Event horizon. Thanks for all the recommendations, will be binging these for a while!
Try Endless.
Endless and Resolution are in the same universe. Watch Resolution first and then Endless asap afterwards. I wanted to like Underwater but it is one of those "I can't see a damn thing happening" kind of movies like AvP Requiem
The Void is my personal favorite because it has all the trademarks of a HP story without being directly associated with any of them
@@neonicon8500 Thanks, will do!
It's in the video, but I also recommend Color Out of Space. It's capital-w _Weird_ but it's a great ride. If you're unfamiliar with it, I highly recommend going in totally blind. If you happen to be 420-friendly, it's tons of fun if you're at a 5/10 or greater, too.
I was so heartbroken to see you've had to upload this again!! Definitely watching it all the way through again, Elvis, your hard work has been worth it.
I knew most of this stuff, but there were some new ones to discover and some I knew of, but never watched, that I might check out now, after hearing you talk about this.
It's always something special, when a youtuber talks about media, close to his heart and especially if it is a genre that you feel the same about.
This is a fantasic overview of cosmic horror. I am familiar with almost all of it, but this video is definitely my go to for explaining the genre as a whole. Great video!
Had to give this a second viewing when seeing it had to be reuploaded, definitely one of my fav videos you’ve ever done!! Thank you for your dedication on bringing us such wonderful content
I truly appreciate the time and effort that goes into videos. Videos like this are what makes me enjoy pop culture. I love being able to hear someone's perspective about ideas, plots, and tones of media. This video is a piece of art itself. I find myself rewatching the other video Elvis did about syfy films due to the fact that it was so beautifully crafted and I can tell how much time and love Elvis put into it. I can't wait to show my friends this video too. Much love Elvis
Thanks for this compilation. There's a lot to watch and experience here.
This guy's just reminding me of movies I watched back when that truly gave me a scare. Loving my building list for October bingeing
Cosmic horror is cool as hell and it was definitely rad to see a spotlight on so many great sorts of media under that umbrella!
Coherence is such a damn good movie. It just goes under your skin
Thank you for listing out the movies in the description Elvis. I've been watching a movie a night for the past few nights. It helps get the lonely holidays over with.
I always love it when you talk about horror, whether good or bad
Thank you for all you do. It does not go unnoticed. I love everything cosmic horror, so I was excited to watch the first time it was uploaded. I’ve already watched 2 movies from your recommended list and thoroughly enjoyed them. Can’t wait to see what new titles you added to this vid. Keep up the good work. O and you should definitely do an entire vid on the empty man!! One of the best movies to come out in a while and the story of how it was made, more ppl should know about it. Thanks Elvis👽
The Ritual is a great cosmic horror that all fans of the genre should check out.
Solid.
I thought The Ritual was more of a supernatural horror linked to Norse mythology, but ok.
Dude every so often I go on a little lovecraft marathon and this video was absolutely flawless. Hell yeah brother!
Same it's cool.
Oh wow. You're like the first youtuber to talk about H.P. Lovecraft and not tell me to google the name of his cat. I'll give you a like just for that 👍
Yeah it's exhausting listening to people rant about him being a racist or whatever. He had a lot of problems and had a hard life. Not any excuse for it but holding him to modern standards is unreasonable
Actually fun fact, he wasn’t the one who named the cat that and towards the end of his life he was far less racist than before.
It feels like when people keep trying to hammer his racism it’s almost an attempt for them to get one to stop enjoying his works or works inspired by him. He was a flawed person who grew up with parents of former nobility. His views were shaped from an early age and it’s been documented that as he was further exposed to people his views were tempered. This wasn’t to say he didn’t remain racist but by the end of his life he eschewed the biological racism he had held for a long period of time. This isn’t to defend him but to remind people that he like everyone else was flawed

There is a film, called Noroi: The Curse, I think you would absolutely love. It is very easy to find online, but I think it was recently added to Shudder. The story essentially follows a prominent supernatural investigator documenting/assisting an actress and her curse which seemingly evolves into another case about what people are referring to as "ectoplasmic worms." As such it has documentary/found footage elements. It's in Japanese with English subs and was produced by the Ju-On/Grudge producer.
I'm so happy you mentioned Beksinski. I found out about him a few years ago and his work is so captivating.
Great video, you gave me some new games and movies to check out that I hadn’t seen on any other cosmic horror list.
I usually don't comment on videos, but thank you for your work! I can only imagine how much work is put on creating such a long videos with narration, and it saddens me that all this work and views can be deleted like that. I hope this reupload will get as much or even more views as the original upload.
Have a nice holiday mate!
You’re videos are so much fun to me, CZcams has become quite boring for me and I’m always searching for hour long videos but the current media environment is about fast content. Your channel is like a sanctuary to me
I’m so glad you mentioned Beyond The Aquila Rift and Black Mountain Side. Black Mountain Side especially because it was so fantastic. I watched that with my dad; he didn’t really get it, but I was enthralled.
Fullmetal Alchemist was my introduction to Eldritch/cosmic horror. This video is very well done.
Can't believe it keeps being taken down. We all appreciate you putting more sections in the video. Even though I would've watched it all over again even without any changes
I thoroughly enjoyed this video the first time and I'll enjoy it just as much the second time. We appreciate your hard work, Elvis!
So many of my favorite movies are on this list. Definitely going to check out more from the list. awesome video!
This is my favorite genre and I can never find a good list of content for it so THANK YOU 100x
Is it just me or The Mist part was a huge sarcasm? It was truly horror, but for wrong reasons.
It’s not an Elvis video unless he has to reupload it more than once
This is a well put together video. Kudos! And thanks.
had a wave of nostalgia when you mentioned the void, me n my friends found that movie during one of our sessions of clicking the horror genre on netflix and watching whatever we found at the bottom of the page, the manner in which we found some of the most memorable films we've ever seen
It’s not a movie or video game, but I HIGHLY recommend the comic series by Jeff Smith, Bone. It starts out friendly and unassuming, but devolves into a very very grim and dark story. There’s lots of lovecraftian elements, especially in the later half of the story. The designs of some of the monsters are extremely chilling.
I watched it the first time, but this is such a well made video that I don't mind watching it again. Also, thanks for all the movie recommendations! 💚✨
Amazing video, Elvis.
Probably gonna watch it a hundred more times.
Thanks to you I finally remembered what that movie was that my teenage self chose to watch in cinema alone on a dark night.
And let me tell you, walking home alone after "The Mist" was an experience I'll never forget again, even If apparently my mind chose to block it out, until now (I wonder why lmao)
It did have a huge influence on my horror movie preferences to this day, though.
One of my favorite horror movies and I've FINALLY rediscovered it, so thank you!
Man I’d kill to see you do a full video on Cabinet of Curiosities and get your in depth feelings on each ep.
For shows I enjoyed most of Archive 81 if you haven’t seen it, and Witch Creek Road is a sick comic that I think all cosmic horror fans should check out!
One game I always recommend to people who like this sorta thing is "In Sound Mind". You take the role of a therapist who finds himself in a dream world haunted by a man seemingly intent on driving him insane. You have to go through your old patients case files and confront whats going on inside their head. Its a really good game even if the combat leaves a bit to be desired. I'd definitely look into it if your looking for a puzzle horror game.
awesome video! i really enjoy it so many good stuff here, i would like more videos like this one in the future Elvis
Wow, I love to see someone talk about Pandorum. I love that movie.
Also thanks for this video, I'm keeping it at hand so I can watch/play all of this stuff
Im surprised you didn’t bring up “pontypool” where a few radio show hosts are stuck at their station while a zombie apologizes happens. The thing that makes it cosmic to me is that its not a typical zombie apocalypse but some word is activating it, but the radio show hosts have to report whats going on with also trying not to activate more infected people. I haven’t watched it in a while but I totally recommend it cause it leaves you wondering how it even works
u didnt ramble long enough maaaaan
The lighthouse is my second favourite movie of all time and do not think it is talked about enough so I really appreciate you recognising the brilliance of it
Man I love watching these videos because you recommend so much stuff to watch. I love it 👍
Thanks for what you do, you're one of the few who really understands and genuinely likes cosmic horror. This is also see in your videos. You are honest, funny and definitely a person who must be fun to chat with. I saw the video before when you uploaded it the first time, but you took it down halfway through, but that didn't stop me from playing it 3 times already. Above all, don't lose faith in what you're doing. I believe we all like you here and are looking forward to the new video Peace and happy holidays 🙂
Archive 81 on Netflix has some pretty awesome cosmic horror elements and overall great atmosphere. I recommend that!
I am missing the Cloverfield movies in your list.
Looks like I just got my next Steam sale shopping list, as well as more than enough stuff to watch until then. Thanks very much.
I really enjoy your content please make more of these long videos
not even a minute in and I see Elvis in a squid hat. Truly terrifying, shook me to my core.
One of those videos that makes you open notepad and start jotting down tv shows, movies, games & manga you plan to look up but know that 90% of them will stay on the watchlist for eternity... that watch/play later list looming in your consciousness like a cosmic horror itself.
True, I definitely downloaded more than a few movies and shows while watching this, lol
Thank you for this video, i didnt know where else to find more cosmic horror apart from H.P Lovecrafts books
I was looking for a vid like this a year ago, it didnt exist. Good job
Buddy! I will keep this video playing on repeat for the rest of the night. what you did and the work you put in is incredible and i’m sorry you’re hitting so many roadblocks!! we love and appreciate you! this is literally my comfort channel when i’m feeling down or anxious, and i’ll do whatever I need to do to support you (even if it means buying one of your whack ass alien shirts) 😊
Two things that you should also consider watching if you are a fan of Cosmic Horror: "Dreams In The Witch House" by Stuart Gordon from the show "Masters of Horror", and "Zygote" from Oats Studios.
Great video. Thanks ayylien bro.
Wow, I was extremely pleasantly surprised to see so many great recommendations that usually get ignored by the vast majoriyy of videos on this topic.
But the greatest piece of gratitude i wannd give is due to the mentioning of the "Beyond the Aquila Rift" episode, it is definitely one of the best CH media i've encountered, and the the song from the episode ("Living in the shadows") is awesome goes so well with the story.
Also, your angler fish hat is incredible
Thank you for the great video and happy New Year!
I loved this video so much! I’ll gladly watch it again
