I lived in the UK and Ireland for 8 years. I moved to the US lived there for 10 years, then moved to Rwanda and then moved back to Cameroon. My experiences on all the continents have been excellent. In terms of work opportunities for everyone, to me, the US was better.
She nailed it America is really the best place to live in if you have a professional job or want to pursue a career
funny what about security?
I will choose my safety and peace of mind over money any day.
You're not missing anything. 3 people were murdered in Florida yesterday in a mass shooting targetting black people & these occurences are becoming more common throughout the country. When you're new, have never been to the US, or just visiting it looks nice & glamourous untill you really learn about the system, have real experiences here & have kids
My thoughts exactly!!! I can walk wherever I want to walk where I live in Europe. My safety and peace of mind over money any day
When Ur time has come, it has come.
Let's say the US have free healthcare, do you think they would have enough salary? I think the UK is doing a great job is not all about receiving but what you give 👍
Exactly! I am in Canada and my husband travels like 4 times in the year to USA due to his work. Anytime he goes I am always praying hard. Injust have this fear about USA. His last visit while driving with his colleagues they had to change direction cos they saw a man in a car with a gun gauging towards a building. Hr had that long gun with lens that target well well ooo. I can't go through that
Great interview! I have lived in the US all my life and although we have different views on this country I'm glad you are enjoying it here. People in the comments forget that people live different from one another and what works for one person may not work for another.
Exactly
Thanks, Nanelle, and Joyce welcome to the USA! The land where anyone willing to work has an opportunity to thrive and grow. I've been an RN in this "land of the free" for over 20 years and a nurse practitioner for 5 years. There is no place on planet Earth that could have given a foreigner so much, and I'm glad I can now give back:)) Our healthcare was free since my husband was in the military, copay for dental but medical was free. Racism and tribalism are all over the planet. And politics aside, I'll always give the USA an A for a better life and opportunities
Also nowhere is safe, UK isn’t a safe haven either
Hi Nanelle, I am very happy listening to you guys and I will love to know that Agent as well I am planning to move from Spain to US.
Woooww. We will get there.
Amen! This lawyer agrees. Opportunities are endless and everyone can become somebody with determination
This professor agrees. The greatest country in the world!
Love that the UK is big on work life balance. I am paid well and at the same time I can take time off if I feel bad - I was off for 3mos and still got paid in full. There is mandatory paid holiday for at least 28 days on top of that. If I need doctor’s appointment, I dont have to think about insurance coverage, co-pays, etc. We are so lucky with the NHS. And there are so many nice historical villages, parks, National Trust places to go to.
Are you a care worker?
@@tashianncube5388why?

Ah, Nanelle this was such a beautiful video. The you aplenty and Joyce, oh my goodness! What kind of girl is that? So focused, so intelligent, so beautiful, so housewife, so sweet! What a blessing! Blessings to the both of you for your encouraging words.
Love how very honest she was about everything.
I never understood the idea of relocating from Africa to Uk a country where there is a limit to how ambitious you can be for “ peace of mind “ and “ free things” like the NHS which hardly functions these days with those with money doing private and the doctors always on strike . North America you work hard and the sky is your limit .some one in the comments stated the middle class does better in the UK: why would I leave my country to aim to be middle class in another country . There are 50 states in the US some areas are almost like a different country because they feel different . I have lived in the US for 15 years and never seen a gun , she must live in an open carry state like Texas.
What a good answer i lived in uk for 14 years and im here in US for 3 years now
It's not Chicago otherwise they be outside. She hasn't stayed for tax season all that money. She's talking about😂
Very informative, thank you Nanelle as always. It will be nice if you or Joceil can share or suggest some agencies that hire directly for hospitals. It will be beneficial to some of us please. Thank you again.
Very informative and insightful interview . Thanks for sharing this , Nanelle.
I have lived in UK for over 35years and I work as a paediatric nurse. I love my job and I get good salaries. It depends on the agency you work for that determines your salaries. I will always choose UK, my family and I have visited USA few times but it’s not for us. One of our daughters is an American born and lives here in UK. Our NHS is incomparable, and due to my line of work, I have seen how our NHS has supported a lot of families. Everyone has access to free healthcare regardless if you are rich or poor. I have a family member diagnosed with complex medical conditions and I can’t imagine how much their treatments would have costs if we live in USA, I probably would have been bankrupt. Health is wealth and for us we will choose UK over a million times.
USA has mediaid for the poor and pay 0 in healthcare. Live in the uk, enjoy your salaries, I’ve seen American nurses earn 100k a year. You probably drive a fiesta and live in a shitty studio. Here nurses are driving in the best of cars and living their best life
UK IS 100 TIMES BETTER ALWAYS, I HAVE BEEN PRIVILEGED TO TASTE BOTH SIDES, NO DOUBT UK IS BETTER.
I think you are right... I love the UK
@@vedanttaneja8578Each to their own! I’m a U.K. nurse and drive a 2004 Toyota Yaris and live in a small flat. So what do you want to happen?
@@vedanttaneja8578clown you think everything revolves around 100k salary 😂😭 and fancy cars.
Nice content…obviously she’s living her American dream. We all have choices do what makes you happy
Good luck to you and pleased to hear that your heart desire is meant.. I have been in the Uk for over three decades. I'm dual trained and really proud of Uk systems. UK and US health and social care systems are significantly incomparable . Uk is based on compassion and equitable social /care system for all regardless of the individual's status. You wait until you advance in age ,then your assessment of Uk would change. Aside, in the US, maternity care is not free, no patient choice or maternity rights etc. Furthermore, according to various sources the deterioration of NHS care is due to funding starvation and poor resource allocation by successive Tory governments so as to facilitate their covert privatisation agenda , which is contrary to the ideology and principles of the NHS founding fathers.
However, if you believe in equal, effective and efficient health and social care rather than monetarisation then UK all the way. There is equality act 2010 that protect BAME should one experience discrimination which I doubt is available in US due to its health inequalities and status-privatisation healthcare system.
Anyhow , wish you all the best in your new adventure.
God bless the UK and the founding fathers of the NHS who birthed this wonderful ideology which is an envy of the whole world based on Judeo-Christian values of holistic care for all at the point of need.
Big facts

So true, I live in the USA, I will rather live in the UK than US. life is not all about big salary.

What that means African are being honest? African are always honest, but some crazy people teach African bad and evil stuff. They came to Africa and stolen everything and lied about it. There are so many things that this woman may not have noticed. For minimum wage, life is very hard in America. Homelessness is more than anywhere else.

Awesome conversation indeed. I like! ❤️
Well done. I am proud of you girls.. ❤
Well dear Africans, some things are MORE important than money. Things like small kids who are given puberty blockers to become transgendered in USA schools EVEN without the knowledge of parents. Like school shooters going to schools to shoot kids as young as 3 years old. This year 2023,USA had more than 400 school shootings before July 2023. That means from January to July 2023,more than 400 school shootings o. And it isn’t happening in only one region or state,it is in the entire USA,it can happen anywhere because everyone has access to guns! I have a child. The thought of my child being in school not knowing if a shooter will break in and shoot,or if my child will be convinced to change to a different gender or sex…..some things are more important than money in my opinion. Uk is still VERY VERY conservative compared to USA. School shootings are not here. And kids aren’t encouraged in schools to become a different gender or sex. In USA if your kid sees other kids being open about transgenderism and says he or she too wants to change sex or gender and you as a parent say no,the government can arrest you for not letting your small child change his or her sex or gender. As for me,I choose good values and morals and safety of life for my family over money any day. Money can’t raise a dead child or fix a child who gets corrupted by the wave of unAfrican values there. That’s just my opinion.
You’re right about the gun violence issue. It has been my fear always. The transgender is not true though. Government can’t arrest you for saying no to your child wanting to change gender. Though, some are pushing for that, it’s not a law. At least not in my state.
I have lived in the US for five years and yes I am very aware and against gun violence. But I refuse to live my life in fear. Where I live is very safe and my children go to school in the US and I have not encountered anything as extreme as what you are stating. England is not great either and has a lot of hidden racism. Go wherever you feel will give you a better life. The US is not for everyone but some people immigrate and do well over here.
Stop spreading falsehoods! Children are NOT given puberty blockers without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
@@soni1661 you can never equate USA to UK in violence. I didn’t talk about racism, even in Africa there is racism. I mentioned gun violence because in any society where guns and drugs are easy to get,it becomes dangerous. May you continue to be safe. I’m merely speaking facts based on what I know and have seen. My uncle got killed in the US via gun shooting….so I also know what I am saying. Also, one of the reasons that the Black lives matter gained traction in the USA and not in the UK is for this exact reason which is GUN VIOLENCE. That’s all I am saying.
@@soni1661 which state do you reside?

Absolutely great interview, stunning, addressed all my worries/concerns
Thank you for this video & info, the truth is, when you plan to migrate to the US or other developed countries, make sure you have a qualified skill especially in a well needed field.
I am yet to see anyone who will convince me to pick the US over the UK..you see that safety part, that is all that matters to me....i notice all them nurses who move to the US are mostly putting money first...i have only boys and I am very big on where i raise them and where they are safer(finally it is God who protects)
It depends on where you are in America. If you're in San Diago or New Mexico, for example, you might be safer than someone in London.
Anytime i will choose Europe over US
Uk beats USA....safety, health care can not be measured.
@@araconnect UK beats USA?? 😂 yeah right. Whatever helps you sleep at night
@@akwesiboachieHaving lived in USA for 2 years, you cannot compare safety and healthcare in UK with USA, UK is way superior in these two areas, you will make more money in USA to spend a lot of it on inflated bills. I am a nurse on £3800 a month which is equal to $4617 converted to USD, convince me why I should move to USA again if I make such kind of money that most of you make in USA?
Thanks Nanelle for asking the right questions. The interview was great

I love this video, thanks for motivating us with this video
My fear for people is moving to anywhere just for money 💰!!!! There is so much more to life than money and it generally seems to be an African problem. Also you can make money anywhere- there are countless millionaires in even Africa and there are poor people in Africa, US, Europe, Australia etc
I hope people will weigh all the facts and really ask themselves what do they want and what are they really looking for (for themselves and their families rather based on other peoples expectations). You can’t keep moving from country to country because the salary is higher in one country. There are so many factors to consider in each country. There is a big difference between going somewhere on holidays and living in that same nation.
My advice is go or stay where you will have peace of mind and enjoy your work. There’s no greater blessing than having peace of mind and enjoying the work of your hands. I believe when you have the right mindset and have made the right choice (personally to YOU !!!) money will find you wherever that may be. Wishing you all the best 😊
She's more needed and valued in the USA than Africa, she took the opportunity which is not a bad decision. Not everyone can be an Entrepreneur, millionaire or billionaire, she has the skills & went to where she & her skills is more valued, we don't share a common means of motivation, like for me, money motivates me to work harder & smarter.
Words of wisdom.
True talk dear.
Well written, it will take a while for people to understand that the social, psychological and emotional effects far out weigh the so called economical gains. 😢 unfortunately so😢

Money for nurses in the US is attractive and tempting, however, i can't trade my safety, security and peace of mind for it, UK is peaceful, she said they do go out by 11pm, but in the US 6pm and someone was already bringing out a gun. Hmmmmm, for someone like me that have lived in south Africa before moving to the Uk, US is a no no for me for now, i can't say never. I don't need toxic lifestyle for my children and I don't want to walk on eggshells either. Peace of mind is under-rated and money can't buy it.
Uk is not as peaceful as people think it is…..stabbing cases everywhere….in my 6 months stay in one neighbourhood almost 5 people are stabbed to death….I didn’t see that even in Nigeria

This is an interesting subject, but it should be USA health system vs the UK NHS, apart from the long waiting list in the NHS I think UK still beats the USA health system unless you are really wealthy. But I would still would love to live in the sunny, all year round part of the USA😌
God bless the United States of America 🇺🇸. It might be a bit bumpy settling in at first but once you pull through it is a sweet ride.
Thanks sister for updating and uplifting us to study nursing
Nice one from you, Nanelle. There is nothing wrong in chasing bigger pay in the USA or elsewhere, but we just need to be aware that nothing compares with safety, security, and wellbeing, which are top priorities in the UK. Only those who have these can chase money, which is the main motivation to many migrant professionals switching to the US. One can't be too careful in a dangerous and toxic environment.
Personal advice for Nanelle: Good luck if you have decided to relocate to the USA with your family, but I will advise that, if you have spent about 5 years in the UK to please be patient to acquire your UK citizenship in about a year. I believe this will be of benefit to you in the near and distant future. Best wishes ❤️
Exactly my advice to Nanelle. Nothing beats being a UK and US citizen 🎉
Your hospitals don't have beds for the critically sick how is that placing safety and priority at number one.
There is a difference between permanent residency and citizenship. You do not become a citizen after staying for 5 years u need to have had settled status for 12 months before u are considered to become a citizen.
People who lost their lives to stabbing, go tell their family how good your country is that is operating on stolen wealth
Yep. Get your UK citizenship. As you said you might need it in tge future.

As an experienced Clinician in the UK, I will not be moving to the USA soon and not in the nearest future because most importantly, majority of their foods are low grade compared to the UK, and their gun culture is another no, no for me. How can someone who is not a nurse move to the US
I moved from UK to US but back in UK because I hate the gun culture in US. Also US will give you all the money and take it back. Cost of living is quite high compared to the UK. The weather is better than UK tho but I’ll always choose UK for safety reasons. It’s also easier and cheaper to travel from UK to many places compared to the US. However, everyone is different and we all have different preferences.
