Just added the A1 vented dipstick to my Street Glide 300 miles so far no oil misting through the filter/ catch can, the motor runs smoother and revs better. Just follow instructions and that’s it. I’m running 4 dots down hot oil check
Props for giving the 4,500 mile review and not just an install video. I just installed the Trask Check M8. I cleaned the air intake area really well and will post a video of the results.
I just bought the Feuling dipstick after I’ve been having issues with my M8 Softail. Will install when I get home later today from my trip. She’s been using about 1/2qt of oil every 600 miles or so, about 2x normal the rate and having a decent amount getting in my S&S Teardrop
Good Info thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice video. Seems like a cool product. Looking forward to seeing your 5k review. I shared the video with a Harley buddy of mine. Told him to make sure and subscribe!!
Thanks for the continued support Steve 🤘🏻
Well that's what I get for pausing and making a comment about the 5k review. Cool it worked out. Definitely worth the money. Keep up the great work
@@moto-rollin lol all good 👍🏻 yes I’m going to keep running it
If your oil light is turning on then you have another problem than the dip stick you installed but its good to check your oil often ESPECIALLY if your on a long haul!!!!!
I marked the line on mine with whitew paint. Mine also had 2 lines.
The Feuling vented dipstick has a one way valve in the cap that only allows air to escape the oil tank and not let air to get in. The A1 Cycles Ventilator cap allows air to flow freely in both directions.
Ah I see. Definitely something worth mentioning
Right, how is the air going the enter the pressurized case?
@@jjs8046 when you shut the bike off
In my opinion it doesn't work under acceleration due to the oil sloshing back and up to the oil cap. Easy way to test leave oil cap off and accelerate it will come shooting out. Don't ask how I know this😂
I wonder if the lack of a one way valve is causing a vacuum issue and leading to oil loss?
Hello I have a chopper with a revtech 100 as I started the engine the oil cap blew off... it's my 1st bike I haven't moved it since... would this vented dipstick help? or what would you recommend I do? thanks in advance guys
u don't want it pointing up if there is any build up of oil in the line it will block the crank case pressure from venting out .
Snake oil
Where did you purchase those levers? Very nice bike!!! Thanks!
Thanks , the levers and floorboards etc are from Crossthread Cycles
two bikes, highly modified over several years using the A1 ventilator, i also sell the kit to costumers in my shop, its a great, well proven product
Agreed !
How do you like your seat? I’ve been thinking about switching to that from a drag predator 3
I like it, I run the stock couch of a seat touring seat for most two up and longer trips. Otherwise for the average day I still like my Le Pera Tail Whip seat.
which one would fit the M8 Street bob 2023?
I would check with A1s website, but I believe that would fall under softail M8.
So as I understand it, if I install this A1 crank case vent , I do not need to add a catch can system or anything else to the air cleaner, just leave it as is. ??
That's the idea, it relieves some pressure to that the oil cant make it to the air cleaner.
@@3_AM perfect, I am going to install it. Thank you
Run anything but syn3 , motul or red Line ,amsoil. Just saying if you want it to last.

That’s right. Harley spends millions on R&D engine development so they recommend an oil that will cause engine failure. 🤷🏻🤦🏻♂️.
Don't waste your money. I bought and installed this product and took the bike out fora ride. On our trip I was losing traction and my wife told me the side of my bike was covered in oil and it was burning her leg. I stopped the bike and saw the oil was coming from the air filter attached to the vented oil cap. It was siphoning the oil through the vent at 70 mph. Took it off and no problems since. I wrote to the company and no call back of course..
Did you make sure to run it about a half quart low ?
the black thumb
Yup, the ole hammer trick
No they don't...
