    This is, without a doubt, the best quality part on the market to simply relieve pressure from your Crankcase. We initially only ran these on our Performance Builds. We now run them on every bike we own, 5 M8's, and they have a noticeable impact on all of them, from Stock CVO Streetglide to a 135HP Stage IV Bagger with a 550 Cam.
    You immediately notice a better sounding engine, mechanically. It helped us realize just how much pressure is being produced and the stress it must be causing. There are cheaper parts, but nothing is better, more well thought out, or close to this quality.

      That's what gets me...people buy these 20K PLUS priced bikes and then proceed to bolt on the cheapest aftermarket parts they can find. I agree this is pricey, but how it is designed and reportedly performs, seems very worth it if you plan on keeping your ride for a long time. Seems like cheap insurance to me in the long run...certainly less than a single typical oil change service at the dealership!

      @@zonktified1247 that is exactly how we feel. Harley deals with the EPA and builds the best machine within the confines of their bullshit. It is up to Dealers and owners to decide how those regulations impact our bikes.

      @Just J GO BACK IN TIME. IM 61 AND CAN REMEMBER FOLLOWING CARS UP THE ROAD AND SEE A BREATHER HOSE HANGING DOWN UNDER THE CARE PUFFIN CRANCASE SMOKE. I COULD ALWAYS KNOW THE DIFFERENCE WITH A CAR WITH BLOW BY. MY OLD MAN HAD A OLD FORD PANEL TRUCK AND IT HAD BLOW BY. IT WAS AN UPSIDE DOWN LOCOMOTIVE. ALL HE SAID WAS AS LONG AS THERE WAS OIL THE ENGINE HAD GOOD LUBRICATION. AND IF IT WASN'T PUFFIN SMOKE THE ENGINE WAS EITHER COOKED OR HE NEEDED TO ADD A FEW MORE QUARTS. AND IT WOULD BE GOOD TO GO FOR ANOTHER WEEK OR TWO. I HAVE A ROAD KING WITH HIGH FLOW AIR CLEANER. THE PREATHER HOSES NEVER GAVE ME A PROBLEM. UNTIL I TRIED TO QUIET DOEN THE EXHAUST. I REALIZED I HAD APPLIED TOO MUCH BACK PRESSURE AND NOTICED OIL DRIPPING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE AIR CLEANER. I WENT AND CHANGED BAFFLES TO LESS RESTRICTION AND THE OIL PROBLEM WENT AWAY. IT SEEMS TO BE A BALANCE PROBLEM BETWEEN THE HIGH FLOW K&N INTAKE FILTER AND EXHAUST BACK PRESSURE ALSO THERE WAS A SPACER WITH THE FILTER KIT THAT MOVED THE BREATHER HOSES FURTHER AWAY FROM THE INTAKE. OBVIOUSLY THERES A CERTAIN POINT WHERE YOU CAN ACTUALLY CREATE A PROBLEM TRYING TO MONKEY AROUND FROM THE FACTORY SETUP. I DON'T LIKE THE IDEA OF SUCKING CRANKCASE OIL INTO THE INTAKE. ITS LIKE RUNNING A TWO STROKE. WHEN ITS NOT. I AGREE. REROUTE THE BREATHER GAS SOMEWHERE SOMEHOW. THE OIL CAP SETUP IS A GOOD IDEA. IM IN THE PROCESS OF ADDING A 1.8 ECOBOOST TURBO BREATHER BYPASS KIT ON THE DAMN CAR. AND MY EQUINOX HAS A REAL SCREWED UP PCV SYSTEM AS WELL WHICH I FOUND OUT THEY ARE USING OIL FILL BREATHER CAPS. BUT THEY MADE SOME KIND OF FUNKY INTAKE THAT CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH BLOCKAGE. IF I DIDN'T KNOW BETTER THEY KEEP TRYING TO INVENT CRAP THAT JUST DON'T WORK. EVEN USING AFTERMARKET CATCH CAN ADD ON KITS. ITS TOTALLY CRAP. NOW CHEVY BOLTS ARE BEING TOLD TO CHARGE THE CARS OUTSIDE DUE TO OVERCHARGING. THERE IS A COUNTRY THAT IS STOCK PILING ELECTRIC CARS BECAUSE THE BATTERIES ONLY LAST 3-5 YEARS AND ITS LIKE 9 GRAND TO REPLACE THE BATTERIES, A CHARGER AND SOME OTHER PARTS I THINK A MODULE JUST TO GET IT FIXED AND THE PEOPLE THERE I THINK IN INDIA DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY CRAPPER PAPER. TESLA IS A DAMN JOKE COFFIN, CREMATION ON WHEELS. YET NOBODY SHOWS WHAT HAPPENES WHEN LITHIUM PAPER GETS WET OR BURNS. ITS LIKE A ROAD FLARE BURNING. WHAT A JOKE. NOW FORD HAS A F-150 ELECTRIC PICKUP. MAN I CAN;T IMAGINE WHAT THATS GONNA BE LIKE. IT EVEN POWERS A HOUSE. I RESEARCHED DIESEL ELECTRIC CARS WITH A SINGLE GENEREATOR WITH AN ELECTRIC DRIVE MOTOR COUPLED TO CV JOINTS AS A POWER SOLUTION. LOCOMOTIVES HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS AND CUMMINS HAS A SYSTEM THAT CAN GET 100 MPG. THE ANSWERS HAVE BEEN THERE FOR YEARS. YET THE KEEP BUILDING CLAMORE MINE CARS.

    I just bought a 2020 fatboy, and was having inconsistent oil readings on the dip stick. I finally started doing some research and found this video in which you mention the oil pump being on the right hand side and running the engine while on the jiffy will cause oil to be kicked into the crankcase. My question is how do I get that oil back? I know I'm not short oil but the dipstik says I am, so how do I get that oil back? I've tried and can seem to get it back, what I did was run my bike into normal operating temperature remove the crankcase sensor let out all the oil and the refill to correct level! There's something absolutely wrong with having to do this tho! I'm taking the bike into the shop! Any recommendations as to what to mention to the techs?

    Hard to believe such an expensive bike has such a problem with oiling and crankcase pressure that requires such elaborate and costly aftermarket solutions. How long has Harley been making bikes? This seems like a simple engineering problem that should not be an issue coming from the factory.

    • @batglide5484
      @batglide5484 Před rokem +2

      Well it's an imaginary problem. Believe it or not the motorcycle has breathers that vent excess pressure already on the motorcycle. The 'issue' is that the EPA does not let Harley, or any other manufacturer, vent to atmosphere. That means the breathers vent into the intake. This ensures that all gasses are going to end up going through exhaust. What people dislike is the fact that when these breathers are working there is the possibility of atomized oil entering the intake. If all of this oil is not sucked in by the intake you get what is called blow by and oil actually escapes the intake and gets stuck in the air filter or flies out of the air filter and onto the bike. All of these 'fixes' are unnecessary and to my knowledge there are no data driven analysis that support the need for something like this. If blow by is such a huge problem a really easy fix is to ensure that your oil is not filled to maximum capacity or higher.

    • @kjknuth9127
      @kjknuth9127 Před rokem

      @@batglide5484 blow by is from bad rings. Oil from the crank case being pushed into the cylinder.
      The M8 and TC can push too much oil through the breathers and it introduces more than just air into the cylinder. Most guys will never notice it but anyone that actually runs their bike hard will end up with excess carbon build up on the piston and valves. This ends up being a problem way down the road assuming normal conditions. HD allows problems to happen so they can sell the solution via screamin eagle.
      Can you fix it cheaper? Yes but the part of that question thats more important than cost is the fix. $10 spent vs $400 is great until the motor locks up from oil starvation.
      Most parts cost stupid amounts for 3 reasons: name, R&D, materials. Buy it or don't, no difference to me

    • @batglide5484
      @batglide5484 Před rokem +1

      @@kjknuth9127 the blow by pushes excess vapors and oil into the intake through the breather bolts. That's the exact purpose of the breather bolts. When people complain about blow by on their Harleys they are complaining about the oil exiting the air filter and hitting their bike or pants, or they are complaining about excess carbon buildup. Firstly, oil vapor in the air fuel mixture does not contribute meaningfully to carbon buildup. Engines vented to atmosphere still get the same amount of carbon buildup. Secondly, excess crank case pressure is already being vented out of the breather bolts. That is their purpose. Every motor company uses some form of breather bolt setup to relive excess crank case pressure, cars usually use PCV. To solve the issue of excess oil entering the intake and possibly not entering the combustion chamber as designed would be to integrate a catch can of some type between the breather bolt and the intake. If you can show me quantitative data that proves that the breather bolts are not venting enough crank case pressure and that this aftermarket product does, I'll eat my words. But I've looked it up and I can't find any evidence if either.

    High quality part. BUT, the Feuling instructions (including this video) are not appropriate for an M8 Softail. Routing the hose was a big challenge; took me 3+ hours to install. Calling tech help line was not too helpful. You will need at least 6 more locking zip ties than the 2 included in kit in order to route the hose and secure it so it won't wander or chafe or interfere operation of other parts, including the side stand.

      By routing the breather hose up under the seat before going back down under the frame you are only venting vapor with very minimal oil content. You are riding across more oil residue when you ride 10 ft on the pavement.

    if you don't apply too much exhaust backpressure you're engine won't blow oil. neither will over filling it. just hook a copper tube right at the head pipe from the head breathers. it will burn the oil and puke it out the exhaust. like Indian Larry preached add a gizmo and fix the dam thing! so who cares if its puffin smoke. that way everyone will know where you're at. even the Navajo during smoke signal exercises!

      I’ll be adding Fueling’s dipstick with line filter to my Harley this year, BUT I still have one big question?
