Works perfectly. You have saved me from a slow, painful death at the hands of my mother.
Awesome!! Glad the video was helpful!
Rockaway Mall?
Nat M me right now lmao
Ana Vee I'm in the same boat, hopefully this works if not my mom is gonna kill me!!
Nat M for me is my father who's gonna kill me if I don't get rid off that scuff 😂
Guy who did the damage knew it was Chris' Corvette, just so Chris could make a scuff mark video.
😂😂😂😂
Sorry Chris !
😲 makes sense LOL
+KERS you bastard xD
He/she such a nice person
Had to do this on my new corolla yesterday! Ended up hitting our fence in the driveway and had lots of green scuffs on it.. they all disappeared thanks to this video though! Thank you teacher 🙏
Holy cow Chris! Had a couple of scuffs on my SUV and my wife’s SUV. Been dreading a fix. Saw your video and tried it. Can honestly tell you it took me longer to watch the video than to remove the scuffs from both cars! And now to see that this video is 6 years old? Timeless. Thanks for posting. Left in disbelief!😮
Could you upload a video on how to remove bullet holes please, been a looooooooooong week
yes. please do chris. it will help us out.
Yeah I kinda need this one too. It has been a HELL of a week..
Tahir Mahmood 😂 well that made my day.
How about the missle hole in mine it's been a looooong hour!
Oxygen peroxide helps get blood out. Jus saying
Hi Chris. You have no idea how much your video saved me from being yelled at by my wife. I scratched the side of her car going into the garage. I thought for sure I would have to bring it to a body shop and pay a damn deductible. I knew if I went through your channel I would find something to fix it and I did. Thank you for sharing you fixes with us.
Be careful she doesn't read this ;)
Reminds me of a home improvment episode when he wrecked the Chevy Nomad
Lmao I seriously thought this guy was gonna say; “ I scratch my wife’s white minivan in a parking lot where some random red car was parked in the middle of no where!?” XD
Chris: Fixer of cars, saver of marriages.
Thank you so much for all
Thank you so much!!!!
Someone left a paint transfer on my car door a few months ago and every time I get in my car it makes me angry that someone would do that to my beautiful car!
I followed your instructions and the car door looks perfect again!!
You have totally made my day, and saved me from my constant daily frustration!
Thanks Chris!
Thank you, Chris! We just used this technique on my wife's X1 - looked terrible before we did it and now you can;t tell it ever happened. We both appreciate your kindness in making this video very much!

Accidentally scraped my mom's van against a wall in a parking lot, freaked out, watched this video, and fixed it, and my parents don't know a thing. THANK YOU!!!
Haha nice
Same here bro
I will try this tomorrow, tried driving white VW Caddy into shed but ice has packed to ground making it higher and top of the shed (which is red) lightly scratched Caddy's roof.
I just did it rn actually I am cooked it’s big scratches

CHRIS!!! I fixed my paint scuff two days ago when I was leaving for work and pulling out of my garage at 6AM, admittedly half asleep. Thank you so much for a $15 fix! This is the first video of yours that I actually got to act on, and, I must say, I'm astonished at how good it came out!
Is it still good to this day? I'm considering to try it out
Just followed this step by step and it worked like a charm on old paint transfer from house stucco- Chris you’re a lifesaver.
I love the fact that there are no swear words, no profanity, no nasty language of any kind. It's very refreshing and noteworthy. Great work overall.
shit youre right
ChrisFix is very gentale man. listen to his voice he just want to help.
Ahhh shit I forgot my keys
That's great for the kiddos, but its what led to youtube in post-2010 being garbage.

Yesterday there was a red scuff on the door of my white Fiesta...hmmm.
Anyway, I removed it successfully with the help of this video. Thanks Chris!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
lulz!
serves you right for owning such hideous car
Thank you a million times.... Just created the same scrape as seen in the video (but on my side back panel) when pulling out of my garage. Since this is my husband's car I was especially anxious about what it was going to cost me to fix. After watching this video, I followed instructions exactly, and the car is perfect. I feel so empowered for my next mishap with that stubborn garage!
This really works. The paint transfer. on my car had apparently been there for years ( I’ve only owned the car a couple of months). Twenty minutes and it was fixed. It takes a lot of elbow grease but works well. Great video Chris. Note: take a before and after picture.
Is it still good to this day? I'm considering to try it out
When Chrisfix cars get damaged or broke down, instead of paying someone to do it, he does it himself and gets paid by youtube..
“if you’re good at something, don’t do it for free”
Damn that’s facts .. really good insight
If you love what you're doing, it won't matter.
I mean, if I really followed that, I'd be pretty miserable. It's cynical. You might as well live alone in northern Canada, or an airforce base in Greenland.
A good day: when the same color car scrapes yours.
Never happens .
@@unclerogelio3636 You'll never *notice* it happens because its the same color (joke)
Actually, that's virtually impossible, because my corvette is orange and an orange dodge viper made my door panel off-color, the viper was a custom color, just so you know.
Asmith 1111 weird flex but ok
Even better if YOUR paint was gone before the same coloured car scratches you and they share their paint with you.
This is the video I was searching for online. Clear instructions. Simple, easy steps... Perfect.
Thanks, Chris.
I followed these steps on the family car and I couldn’t believe all the scuff marks came off as quick and as easy as in the video. Thank you very much for videos like this.

Just watched this today, and went to business on the van my grandma gave me. Needless to say, a few hours and lots of looking for marks later, I'm thoroughly impressed with the results. It was so bad prior to doing this I lost track of new and old marks- Thanks Chris!
Thank you. This worked after someone sideswiped my car when I was shopping. There's a few deep scratches that didn't come out, but you can't notice it unless you're up really close. I'm going to do more HW on how to fix this myself. Thank you again
Another gem, Chris. I started with WD-40 and moved to the rubbing compound. However, my paint scuff must have been a little more substantial, so I recruited my thumbnail with rubbing compound for the more stubborn area of the scuff. It took a while and my hands were a little fatigued but it worked beautifully! You can also feel when the paint has been removed by the smoothness under your thumb. Hopefully, this will remind me to be more careful pulling into the garage! Thanks again!
Glad this video was able to help you!
3 years later this saved me from getting in trouble with my mom’s car 😌 thanks Chris 🙏🏾
I'll test this on my neighbor's car first

Chris, your method worked like a dream. My brand new white F-150 was hit by a boat trailer at the ramp parking lot. Black paint transfer onto my white truck’s bumper. My truck looks brand new now after a quick 20 minutes using your method. THANK YOU!
Fantastic! My wife scraped a yellow pylon with our red car. This video saved me a trip to the body shop to see if they could remove the paint. Thanks a bunch!
Thanks so much for this video, Chris. I had a pretty big scuff, but after 45 minutes with the magic eraser it is nearly invisible. I can live with the result. Saved me the $600 I was quoted for a professional repair. The windscreen clean videos were also great. Thanks for all your videos, they are fun to watch and very informative.
First of all, whoever DISLIKED this more than likely did not know what they were doing or don't know how to follow instructions... Because my god thank you so much for making this video!!!!!!!!!!! I just got a new car recently and me not even noticing I saw this same damage on my car.. In a panic told my dad he was PISSED and we didn't know what to do. To take it to a body shop and pay hundreds of dollars? I think not.. So I found your video, showed my dad and he thought it was a great video and that we should try it. So after putting in some elbow grease.... It's like it never happened!!!!! It's completely gone!!!!!! I can't believe it. Just wanted to thank you thank you for making this video so much. You seriously saved us so much time and money and I am forever grateful to you!
lovelyyy78 Whoever disliked the video must be the one who hit the vette and his/her evil followers
what is the elbow grease?
Nuno Pereira - Elbow Grease is something that social welfare receiving blacks in America never have to worry about. Besides, they wouldn't know what it is anyways.
Thank you, saved the day for me. Brushed the sides pulling out of a tight garage with a similar looking scratch as yours. I was researching all kinds of touch up paint solutions but WD40 did the job perfectly.
You freaking rock dude. I just fixed my truck. I watched 2 of your videos about fixing scratches and it worked. I thought I was going to have to take it in to get it fixed. Thank you so much.
Thanks for this video Chris - you're a lifesaver! Some kook side swiped my car in the parking lot and put a big mark/scratch on the door. The panel beater wanted $1,300 to fix it! My car is only worth $4k. So I took your advice and got most of the mark off myself in about 10 minutes. I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
Awesome! I am glad the video was helpful!
Thanks, Chris! The simple and effective instruction worked perfectly on a MASSIVE paint scuff my new car suffered backing into my garage. It looked horrific before, but is almost imperceptible now.
2021 almost 2022... and another person is thanking you for this fix. I can't explain the agony you saved me.
My area was MUCH MUCH larger on the rear fender... once the paint came off my mind was blown I only had 1 actual scratch.
Thank you dude.
Glad the video was helpful!

I just want you to know that your videos are still helpful 5 years later! Bless you so much!
Worked great. Tried this today after having the paint transfer on my car for 2 years. Thank you.
This worked perfectly on my car even a couple days after the paint scratch! Thank you so much for sharing!
Glad the video was helpful!
Chris fix saves my day once again, driving a rental car overseas and I was staying on a narrow, congested street. There's lots of motorbikes and bicycles where I'm at , needless to say I left the car alone for an hour came out and it had a huge black scratch from the passenger headlight to the rear quarter panel, someone side swiped it with their mirror I presume. After a few long minutes of hitting it with some soap and Wd-40 it came right out. After that I waxed it over and it looks like new. Can't thank you enough for all your helpful videos.
Well...this video gets my vote. I literally had everything in my house and went out to try it. I have a white chevy cruze and I had some sort of grey car hit me pretty hard where the scuff marks and paint transfer covering most of the corner of my bumper. Used your easy method and holy crap...it was like the heavens had opened up and gave me access to being a body shop repair guy! HAHA...not really but dear lord I would have never had thought of this in a million years! Thank you for being part of my CZcams University for my car. Onto changing out (almost) the complete braking system. Looks pretty easy from other CZcams University videos I've watched. You are a super star!
This worked like a champ to remove a bright yellow scuff from a guidepost I brushed at my kids' school--all with items I had already. Practical, useful gold.
This video really helped me remove this red paint I had on my car for like 3 years on my car idk how it got there but all I remember that I was driving by a really nice car
I see what you did here

Really well done, thank you. You probably saved me a lot of money. I also got a paint transfer on my front bumper. Got 3 estimates:
$480, $200 and just $60. The $60 was using the procedure you showed on your video. The other 2 wanted to remove my bumper.
Thank you.
Thanks Chris! Followed this exactly with my Gilfriends jeep. Came off and worked like a charm. Your the man!!!
Dry sponge worked better than wet in my case. Thank you Chris!
Chris thank you SO MUCH. I just used this on the door of my grey SUV that had major red paint transfer on it. And it's gone! Wow thank you!!
Just wanted to say thanks. 4 years later and your video helped me remove a scuff with amazing results.
Your method worked like a charm. I was amazed at the results Someone left about a 16" long paint transfer on my Jeep. Not visible anymore
, no trip to the body shop, thank you!
It's been 7 years ago you made this video and your information is still valueable today. I tried your method and 20 mins later, all the yellow and white paint transfer from backing into a parking wall came off my bumper, thanks for your advice.
So aesthetically pleasing to watch! It relieves my anxiety about my car. Love your videos! Thank you!!
You are, again, a life saver.
And to anyone reading this beforehand, dont use too much WD40 otherwise it give your paint a faded look.
Thanks a lot!
I might have actually used too much because my black paint now looks dull where the other paint transfer was. Can it be saved?
@@RickyWilder Did you find a way to save it?
@@SVMSICE So far no. I don’t know if a buffing compound is needed or if I’m screwed. Either way, I haven’t tried anything more than cleaning. Did your paint lose its gloss?
@@RickyWilder Oh I bought a used Dakota and there is a section on the door where maybe someone tried to do something but the gloss just isn’t right in a circle about 6” across. Not really a big deal honestly just thought you might have discovered a good fix after you were describing a similar issue. I don’t think and rubbing compound is a solution for it though, but 🤷🏻♂️. I was thinking maybe a light coat of clear coat with a light sand but again 🤷🏻♂️
One the most easy to follow, straight to the point videos I have seen. Thank you
This video saved me a $900 paint correction bodywork quote! I purchased $45 in materials and spent 2 hours removing white paint off of my dark blue car and all that's left is a small dent. Great video!
Chris, you do a great job of explaining how to fix and repair minor issues with paint and scratches, thanks keep up the good work.
Dude, This video made my night! I accidentally scraped my rear quarter panel on the side of the garage while I was backing in. I thought I screwed up real bad!! Thanks to this video the area looks good as new!!! Thank you so much

Oh my god dude! I know this is two years later but you saved us 400 DOLLARS! THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE AWESOME TRICK AND TUTORIAL!!!
The SkyBat skeptical on trying this, did it work. I think my paint transfer was a little than this more of a brush scrape. It’s a Cadillac and I know my hit and or bump and run will cost more than my 500 deductible
Duuuuude! Thanks for this very easy and SUPER effective method of paint transfer removal. I swiped one of the pillars on the edge of my garage and got white house paint on my truck. It took less than 5 minutes to remove everything and back to looking like new! Amazing car hack!
Saved my life. Parents were going to put their car up on Sunday to sell. Mine is in the shop so I took it and I scraped the side mirror when I was driving, so so slightly. Anyway, was able to completely remove the scratch, it looks perfect now. Thanks man!
Glad the video was helpful!
Someone opened their car door and hit my car. My car is black and theirs was obviously white. I tried to just clean it off without success. Found this video and followed it. 16 yr old fresh driver was on his phone yesterday and ran right into my car (that i just got painted) my bumper is pushed out a bit and cracked but luckily it's just some paint transfer, I was really pissed but felt bad for him cause it was his 1st accident. I told him to stay off his phone from now on, and today I'll be getting her cleaned up.
Dang that’s a bummer but good on you keeping the kid calm. Hopefully it buffs out and it’s like it didn’t happen.
Kyle Smith what a pisstake
should of called his parents and told them their kid was using the phone and driving and crashed! he will probably keep doing it since in his mind he got away with it
Hopefully the repair is coming from his wallet. You fucked up if you shrugged it off.
Kyle Smith I don't see how people text and drive, I'm actually too scared to pull my phone out in drive...maybe it's because I care about my car, maybe I don't want to risk it, or maybe it's because my car pulls slightly to the right so letting go of the wheel for more that 4 seconds would end with me in a tree, or a combination of all of that (going to get an alignment soon)
This method worked out GREAT! for my Tesla Model S. Thanks for taking the time out to do this video to help myself and others.

Hey Chris. First off a BIG THANK YOU... I always believed that any colour on the front fender other than car colour was a scratch. Watching this video helped me understand the difference between a scratch and a paint transfer. THANK YOU again, because this 6+ minutes video of yours helped me get the paint transfer off my car. Now it might not be as great as your work, but it still did the trick. Next up, how to get scratches of my car 😊. Cheers mate!!!
For real: this was the video I was looking for! Did my car this morning and uploaded the video to show. Black car with white paint scuffs - even a pretty good stucco white scrape and it all came out! Thanks!
"And, take, a look, at that!" 😂 I love chrisfix helpful as always
I don't usually put much into these hack fixes BUT this worked 100%. There were a few factors. First it must be topical paint transfer. It can't be embedded into the paint job. Second your directions and instructions were spot on. And third you MUST have patients. Thanks again for this video. My red mustang looks as good as new. BTW it was yellow paint transfer from a parking lot pole.
Glad the video was helpful!
I've used WD-40, with a red or grey scuff pad, to remove heavy oxidation from bare aluminum (engine parts, etc.) and it works very well, for the same reasons you mention. In those circumstances (un-painted, bare metal), it also leaves a nice residue that prevents/minimizes future oxidation or rust (on bare steel).
Excellent video, as always, and I love the idea of using the magic eraser when dealing with a more delicate surface (OEM clear coat)!
ACF-50 is a better thing to apply to metal to prevent rust, just a tip. Works wonders.
Thanks for these videos Chris. You never waste our time and always end up answering all my questions by the end.

This method worked perfectly on my Volvo XC60 that got scuffed up on the front right fender area. Thanks ChrisFix, I’ve learned a lot from you!
Same thing happened to my Dad's car. Left a nice chip in the paint too. :s He does everything he can to keep his car in excellent condition and in the last year someone floored it in reverse into the front of his car, a shopping cart managed to hit it and dent the front left fender, and someone did what happened to your car in this video to his back left bumper. It doesn't matter what you do someone always somehow messes up your car...
