take bullying more seriously, harassment, assault. This is why it happens, not an excuse but still. I got in trouble for breaking a nose and giving them a few scars, but that’s because they didn’t get in trouble for sexually assaulting me, and continued even after they were told not to. No punishment

signs were pointing to serious mental illness. PLUS - just because you are bullied or assaulted it is NO excuse to bring a weapon and open fire on random people at your school.
“Get in trouble”. Call the cops if administration is ignoring you. And the fact that you think it’s an explanation like there isn’t something seriously wrong with the murderer is really messed up.

But still?? But NOTHING. I understand you went though something traumatic and there was no justice served, but I do not think it is appropriate at this time to correlate your personal experiences with a recent tragedy just to make a point about bullying, especially when the motive of this is still being investigated. It’s unfortunate what you went through but the main reasons for school shootings have not been about bullying in school. Bullying has been a huge societal problem but with social media and the internet it is impossible to track down someone’s thought process and mindset to know what exactly they’re going through. It almost sounds like you’re making it seem like this was deserved in a way when you have no idea if the victims were even bullying or if they knew who the shooter even was.

We need to stop saying the name of the killer. He deserves no recognition and deserves to go down unknown. People want infamy from doing things like this. In a world where everyone constantly seeks attention stunts like this are going to be common.
Also gun regulations should be strict. Every gun needs to be registered and if a crime is committed the person who that gun is registered to should be held just as accountable as the person using it. We need to make gun owners accountable if we want to safely keep them in our society.

Firstly, I would like to say that I’m beyond DEVASTATED to hear about this TRAGIC event. I most definitely FEEL for the families that have lost a loved one in the Oxford shooting incident. I, myself, about 6 years ago, lost a friend of mine, due to gun violence, so I know how overwhelming it can be. My deepest sympathies are with you! Now, i’m not sure if this comment will be ignored or misunderstood, but I’ve been saying this for a while now, and I’ll say it again. In my OPINION, I truly believe that ALL classrooms should be REQUIRED to have a bulletproof (steel, tungsten, iron, etc) closet that students can enter in this type of situation. I understand that it’s not as easy/simple as it may sound (due to renovation/funding reasons), but I truly think that if we ALL find a WAY to help/fund this investment (idea), we can surely save MANY lives during TRAGEDIES like this. We should ALL bring AWARENESS to this matter, so hopefully the school/education system can start taking SERIOUS action. It’s sad that it has come to this point, but it’s not too late to find a solution. School is SUPPOSE to be an environment where students, teachers, and staffs feel nothing but SAFE. Therefore, NOBODY should ever have to witness, experience, and suffer the way those victims did that day. May ALL the victims find PEACE/HAPPINESS along their journey and REST IN PARADISE to the souls that didn’t get to see their families one last time.. 🙏🏼🕊😪

How do you know he was "given" the gun. You're using speculation and conjecture. You do also know that students knew or heard that there was going to be a shooting yesterday, and the school failed to act. How about metal detectors, armed teachers, and addressing mental heath treatment for our children...
