- HARROWING phone video footage captures the moment the Michigan High School shooter attempts to gain access to a classroom as pupils hide under desks, before fleeing for their lives.
The school shooter who opened fire at a high school in Michigan on Tuesday had posted a picture of a gun online before rampage as cops are seen removing weapons from home and the death toll hits 4.
Officers were later seen removing armfuls of weapons from the suspect's home after it emerged he allegedly used his dad's gun in the massacre
The suspect’s father had bought the 9 mm Sig Sauer used in the shooting on Friday, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said.
Bouchard said the suspect had practiced shooting with the gun and “posted pictures of a target and the weapon.”
He added: “It’s my understanding that this was a recent weapon purchased, that he had been shooting with it and had posted pictures of a target and the weapon.”

While he was wise enough to not open the door, he should never have responded. The goal is to remain quiet and not announce people are in the room. Communications are in place to alert the entire community all at once when it is safe to exit - not room by room.
They would have been fine, the guy at the door actually was a sheriff. It was smart of them not to open the door just incase though.

I could feel the relief in their collective sigh when they heard “sheriff’s office” and the sudden terror when they realized the person behind the door wasn’t actually there to help. I can’t even imagine how it was to actually be in that moment. My heart goes out to anyone affected by this terrible tragedy.

When the shooter was on the other side of the door he had no chance of seeing them flee through the window, if they tried to escape before then he could have seen a group of teens running and started unloading on them through the window. Once they knew his location they were safe to run.

Whether it came out as the guy wanting them to open the door was an officer or the kid that was out shooting, they did the right thing. Period end of sentence. I showed my 14-year-old this video and told him this is exactly what you do, if you have to you will spend the night there until it is completely safe to leave especially if you’re safe where you are. We all can say they should’ve did this or whatever but until we are in their position our opinions mean nothing. And even if we were they have to trust their gut. If we are questioning them then we were telling them not to listen to their instincts and setting them up for a potential bad ending. Sending so many prayers of comfort during this difficult time. ♥️🙏🏼♥️

Apparently the shooter didnt knock& it was a officer who sounds nice, but “bro” from police is abit of a red flag, kids seemed to do the smart thing. Police should have took the head or jnr headmaster or a PE teacher, someone the majority would recognise.
It was a detective in plain clothes. Very confusing for the children. Even if they saw him from a distance he wouldn't look like a cop.
