- hoi4 no step back has been out a few days now and some new hoi4 exploits discovered are too broken not to show. this hoi4 no step back exploit allows you to reuse the same research bonus over and over again never running out of tech you get bonuses on. this exploit on hearts of iron 4 is by far the most broken hearts of iron 4 no step back exploit in the game right now!

So... if you get a 300 percent bonus by "stealing tech" using the intelligence mechanics, you can keep using that bonus indefinitely? Super broken.

@@dustinl796 it auto accepted after x days, same way if you were asked to make a decision, and you afk, after a couple of weeks it would choose the top option on its own. AI or not.

I'll probably do a video on them but I'm not a big fan. I think they should be able to stack and give up to a 20% bonus
@@dustinl796 I'm looking forward to it. It is unfortunate that they are not so strong but I love those bad boys. Historically they had some interesting feats but in the greater scheme of things they were not as impactful as the huge game changer like aircraft carriers or tanks.
Does it work for a 2 year ahead of time boost though?
Because then you can probably get fighter 3 in beginning 1939 as Yugoslavia
Or dispersed 5 really early for allot of nations
Works for any bonus in the game as long as it's not for a single specific technology, like heavy tank 2 or Fighter 2, as long as it's for Fighters, armor or something like that you're good
The only issue for me is that I can’t get the research bonuses when I complete focuses. Bugged for me rn I guess. I also can’t naval invade. :(

@@dustinl796 Yeah, I reloaded the save and had some surface ships set to convoy escort and it worked now.
HEARTS OF IRON IV IS A PERFECTLY BALANCED GAME WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLOITS WHATSOEVER.

I tried it with ahead of time, but that does not work.
When i switch the research at 1 day left to something else, the ahead of time bonus does not return for "free use".
The tech i lowered to 1 day with the ahead of time also now takes "150" days again instead of 1 day.
Instead it seems the ahead of time bonus is applied to the research slot, i.e. the total amount needed in that slot is reduced by x%.
Contrary to the "increased tech gain" by the +% bonuses.

This has been fixed in today's 1.11.4 patch. A warning in advance if you want to do this in 1.11.4!

Well to be fair, nobody really tries to switch out research at the last moment, so while it definitely breaks the game most players will never encounter it. I'd understand it if Paradox leaves this to the last moment.
