I've been on overnights for the past 10+ years and use a combination of silent prayer/meditation, weighted blankets, black out curtains, and music in my headphones to get quality sleep. It takes a while for your body to adjust to working nights.

I’ve actually heard great things about weighted blankets

@@WhiteCoatChronicles and deep sleep playlist in spotify are very helpful. I was a skeptic at first. But it even puts me into good sleep during my 30 minute naps

I’m so pleased for you Precious! You’ve worked so hard and soon you’re going to be a senior resident!! Where did the time go?!! 😅
Have you considered a weighted blanket? On sketchy nights that I can’t sleep I envelop myself in mine and throw on the Calm App, usually works, it may help you also.
Sending you well wishes from London🙏🏾

Hi there! I am a medical student at University of Rochester and am super interested in returning to my home of Atlanta to pursue OBGYN or Emergency Med. Any thoughts on the Emory and Morehouse programs based on your experience with the departments? Are they happy people. I know you are so busy. Any information you can provide would be awesome. Feel free to message me.
