    A very well-rounded human being. You've accomplished so much as a young person, you'll do great in your exams.

    Good luck with studying for your board exam!! I'm currently studying for step 1 and I hope this is the worst one, because it's giving me a run for my money.

      I think step 1 is the toughest to be honest! After that it becomes more clinical and intuitive and you’ll have the experience of taking board exams. Good luck with your studies.

    Hey Precious ,
    So you can get hired straight out of residency before passing your boards ? how long do they give you to pass-say your don’t pass on that first try would you get fired ?

    • @WhiteCoatChronicles
      @WhiteCoatChronicles  Před 9 měsíci +1

    Question: As an attending physician, if you failed your board exam and have to wait for a year to try again; do you still get paid for your work while you practicing medicine until you retake it?

    • @WhiteCoatChronicles
      @WhiteCoatChronicles  Před 9 měsíci +4

      Yes, you're still employed and paid. You have up to 5 years to become board certified after you complete residency

    • @heathhunt1992
      @heathhunt1992 Před 9 měsíci

      @WhiteCoatChronicles So, if they do not pass by then, what are the next steps? It's just very interesting to me.

    • @WhiteCoatChronicles
      @WhiteCoatChronicles  Před 9 měsíci +3

      @@heathhunt1992 you won’t be able to work at most places. Passing boards is a standard requirement for most healthcare jobs - nurses, dentist, PT, PA, NP, etc.
