Residency Graduation Trip! My Medical Training is ALMOST Over!

- My residency program took us on a 7 day Royal Caribbean Wonders of the Sea cruise as a graduation gift! I had an amazing trip with my coresidents and Attendings. I can't believe Residency is over in less than 2 months.
I'm Precious, an Emergency Medicine resident physician sharing my experiences through medicine and life. Through my channel I hope to show that life is meant to be lived and enjoyed throughout the journey, not only at the final destination. Along the way, I hope to provide advice to students and motivation to anyone pursuing a career in the medical field.

Also answer the question on if you can go back in time would you have done the PA route! I personally love the extra time the MD gets with each subject while I also love the fact that PA’s don’t have to stay in one specialty. If the MD was able to switch specialties like the PA’s I would have chosen the MD route. #PrePAStudent
Hi! Honestly when I was in college I didn’t have much exposure to the PA route, didn’t know much about it, so didn’t consider it. It’s a GREAT option. Less school and training. The ability to switch specialties is very cool. If I could go back and do it all over again, it would be a real toss up for me on which route to choose. The benefits of MD route is the earning potential and being the expert in your field. Benefits of PA is the shorter training, ability to switch specialties. Tough choice for sure!

Hey Dr , please give me your honest opinion. Now that you are almost done with residency , would you say you have to be very smart (high iq) to become a doctor or you just have to be determined, put your mind on it ?
