Slowik does say he is killing the actor for more than he didn't like the film. He says, "What happens to an artist when he loses his purpose?" By taking the acting job he didn't believe in, the actor betrayed his art which is the worst sin for the chef.

IDK for what is worth it but i can appreciate attentive and transformative reactions in media. You pausing and commenting fits well and goes a bit beyond than just simple "cool, ok, i m just shook reaction etc". As soon i saw u rewinded back couple of frames i can see appreciation towards meaning and well putted media. Kudo's! KEEP at it i guess. I can see u like media beyond surface level. Daniel Radcliffe originally was going to play himself as the actor but had a conflict so the part went to John Leguizamo instead channeling actor Stephen Seagal who does mostly horrible films now. The assistant who went to Ivy league school Brown could have been a wink to Emma Watson from Harry Potter who graduated there. The location according to another youtuber was in Georgia in the United States in the South. The Chef broke the people he thought broke his craft into the influencer, the couple who ate for the sake of prestige, celebrities, food critics, and the money bros who could buy their way in. The angel investor who tried to control the menu with his money(no substitutions). When Chef was stabbed, it could be seen as what many female employees had gone through in various scandals from harassment to assault .Great reaction!

I love that Erin's experience as a s3x worker gives her the skills to figure out what Slowik really wants and how to give it to him, without breaking Slowik's script for the evening. She basically dominates him, gives him some humiliation, and a way to fix it. All the while offering him an experience that he has lost; enjoying cooking for once in a very long while.

The Menu and Banshees of Inisherin (which I recommend) are my two favorite films that I saw in theaters in the past 365 days.
I never wanted a cheeseburger so badly when I first saw this. And I ended up making one the next day, and it was delicious.

I thought Margot/Erin looked something like an alien. Her eyes look big and her head looks small. She seemed to function like an alien in the movie too. I never see commentary about that.
