Watch a full tutorial as a 2012 Hyundai Accent will have a backup camera installed to an existing aftermarket radio. Our model is the 5 door / wagon model, however, the techniques can also apply to the sedan trim as well. Our Accent was not equipped with a camera from factory.
This video applies to Hyundai Accent models for years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. This video also includes camera wiring, installation, and testing.

Just a note to Sedan owners looking to get a reverse lamp power closer to the front of the vehicle.
In the light fitting there is a connector that then runs to the lamp itself, from that connector that reverse lamp power may not be orange, for me it's green from the connector to power source but orange from connector to lamp.

So I can just not connect the power to the reverse light and it should work? (probably on all the time) but that's what I want since the reverse is not in a comfy place in my kia rio. Thanks in advance

So you can connect the camera to stay on all the time and also when you put it in reverse it will come on, or is it one or the other

Yes, on when the key is one. Reverse trigger from the smart harness will cycle the radio over to reverse camera automatically to display the image, but since the camera is also connected to accessory wire, you can call upon the camera anytime when not in reverse as well.
