@TooDarnSoulful When you cheer for opponents and the failings of rivals at the detriment of your own club's success, I think you've taken a quantum leap over the 'banter line'. You've got 3 managers telling you that the small mindset at Spurs is unparalleled to anything they've seen in their careers, yet you don't think the club is a disgrace? Fans happy to throw away a chance at UCL football if it means a rival doesn't succeed. Misery loves company and this club is miserable indeed.

As Spurs fan myself, I want Arsenal to be challenging for the title and going toe to toe with them. To use the rivalry to drag each other to the top. Our fans want the rivalry to be based on who's the bigger loser, fact is we're 23 points behind them, they're title challengers and we're also-rans, that does not make me happy.

I have been following Ange for over 20 years now and enjoy the journey with him as he hops from Club to Club bringing success wherever he goes. Strictly speaking Ange would have preferred to start in the Premier League at a lesser Club than Spurs to give him more time and experience to acclimatise at this level. When the Offer came from Spurs he couldn't pass it up so he entered in at the deep end from the word GO .
I think under the circumstances he has held up really well in his 1st year. However under Ange,s own standard he has
under achieved this year. Ange is a Fighter and a Spartan. Spartans only know Victory or Death. It's a shame Kane
didn't stay at Spurs, he may have made a big difference to the outcome this year. Look at the Fiasco he ended up in at Bayern this year. They have grossly under performed after hastily sacking Oliver Khan who was still acclimatising
    in his new position there.
Regardless of what has transpired so far Ange,s second year at any new club is his BIG ONE ! You can be sure he will
pull out all stops imaginable at Spurs with an Iron Will. Winning the Title will be his goal. Anything less than that will be
unacceptable. It's going to be an exciting year for Spurs next season.Ange will be relentless to achieve for Spurs.

The derbys are teams located in the same city so the fan bases live with each other and constantly meet their neighbours who support a team you dont like and will on a daily basis poison your atmosphere when your team is performing poorly or will boast about how good of a team they got.
And seeing how bad arsenal fanbase look like in terms of delusion and pettiness no wonder this rivalry grew so much . Imaging those spurs fan having to live with the fact that arsenal have won the league for the next decades or so you will hear about it!

But I too feel very disappointed and discouraged by the mentality of fans who care about another’s teams success or failures. It has nothing to do with Spurs whatsoever, to reach that next step we have to want to win at any costs necessary. It is an absolute distraction and unproductive practice. I 100% agree with Big Ange, he gets it, he understands the ideas and behaviour of players and fans that win things. He is trying to better a culture at Spurs and show these toxic ideas are killing them from within. Some people are just not open minded enough to see how silly it is.

I'm not sure you understand what a monumental achievement it is to win the Premier League these days against the unstoppable behemoth that is Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. Since he joined in 2016, only 2 teams have managed to beat them. Antonio Conte's Chelsea in 16/17, when Pep had just arrived and was still rebuilding, and Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool in 19/20, when City were riddled with injuries and the entire world was disrupted by covid and lockdowns. If Arsenal were to beat them after 20 years without a Premier League title, the celebrations would be historic. And if that had happened thanks to a Spurs victory over City, it would be instantly immortalized as an iconic moment in the rivalry. Spurs getting top 4 would be good for them for 1 season and then quickly forgotten. Arsenal winning the league thanks to Spurs would be incredible always and remembered forever.

From a spurs fan who wanted the loss, celebrating it was too far imo. I wasn't celebrating when we lost, but I was relieved. What I think a lot of other fans need to understand it we have it hard as spurs fans. Always in our rival's shadow, constantly hated on by several other clubs. If we had got top 4, relying on villa to not lose to palace which is very unlikely (they need a mere draw), we would most likely get grouped or knocked out in the RO16. In 10 years time, ppl wont remember us getting top 4 when we bomb out the next season, they'll remember their biggest [and still] trophyless rivals aiding their rivals in winning it.

Here is the thing. Im an Arsenal supporter, been that for over 25 years or so. I do get the rivalry between our teams and I would also not want Sp*rs to win anything and if that made us not get CL one year, sure, we have to lose so you guys dont see any trophies, BUT the issue is that the supporters were to much that day. Screaming at Ange and telling him to lose the game and all that was in my opinion over the line from a supporter stand of point. Ange do not understand this rivalry., this has been there long before Ange was even born. This rivalry are bigger that managers, players, owners and so on, but the behavior from the Sp*rs supporters were the issue.

Oh, and just to comment on the week passed, bet your heart sank when burnley went 1-0 up haha. Also, Newcastle play a friendly against spurs on the 22nd just days after the final day of the prem. Just thought I'd let you know incase you didn't. You and Corey can have some bragging rights about who has the better youth players (cuz all the players are gonna be from the academy's if we're being honest)

Ange is absolutely right but also the media has poisoned the whole thing by their leading questions. It's frankly disrespectful how they've been acting. Here's hoping he'll stay because I'm not sure I would and I'am a spurs-fan.

Imagine being a spurs player ,you havent been brought up on the "rivalry " and you just want to win for sours ,then you see your own dans celebrating defeat lol what a joke of a club ,Anggge shoukd walk and go somewhere that matches his ambition and winning mentality
