Have had this car for a little bit now and it’s a wonderful daily, with just enough juice to have some fun. People hating in the comments are clowns 💀
My first Cadillac sedan! Nice content Ben.
i have this car in InfraRed - - 2021 - - -AWESOME car - - - 8400 miles so far - - 2, 1000 mile road trips - - - fast, handles great, it should, as it's built on the Camaro chassis. i'm buying all season tires though - the summer tires are almost bald at 8400 miles
I enjoyed your comments on the motor, please test the new Colorado when it becomes available with the same motor
Absolutely beautiful car love the tail lights on it black Cadillac love it
In order to have the BW pair my guess is that had to put the 2.7 in the V to meet EPA requirements. I don't think a detuned BW V6 would have made any sense, but the NA 3.6 would have been a great middle ground if not for the EPA.
I heard the lead engineer of the 2.7 say that this is the most durable engine GM has ever made. If it sounded better it would be a great engine.
This is basically a new ATS. My mother had one in 2013 and this looks identical inside and out.
How in the world do you post so much and keep up with it all and stay focused? I am trying to up with you. You do a grand job. It is interesting had to come from the Cimarron to get to this car decades later. You have to wonder if GM/ Cadillac had produced this decades ago where would they be in 2022? Thank you for the review. I appreciate it when you drive GM and Ford/Lincoln vehicles.
Magic😆👀
@@BenHardyCars’m convinced your wife keeps everything going smooth. Let’s face it, without the women in our lives we function poorly 😂
how’s the feel of materials used in the car compared to Acura, Benz, Audi, etc? if you don’t mind me asking
I agree with you.. they should of done V6 detuned....
A lot of manufacturers are doing the same thing. Ford has ST and ST-Line. Now correct me if I'm wrong. Both Hyundia and Kia have a top performance N trim level and a lower N-Line.
I'm a little confused on the branding myself? since I was trying to compare it to a Genesis product.
Dont know why i dont receive new videos notification even i already turn on the bell icon button 🤷🏻♂️
I have seen one of these on the lot and I cant BELIEVE you even dared to fit into the back seat. When I saw it in person I thought, "well, it's really just a 2-seater."
Also, I agree with the V6 idea. If this had a NA V6 I'd be into this. It really should be the base engine for CT4 /CT5 anyway.
this car is smaller than a Cavalier!
I wish I got a ct4 v. but none where available anywhere. I sadly settled for a countryman. so I will probably get a ct4 v in 2024
Engine sound ???
Just bought this RWD. Love it.
Until break in
@@BenHardyCars what's the 0-60 ? (Most people want to know)
@@minipandora22 I got 4.4 on RWD
By the late 1980s it was well established that front wheel drive cars were far less prone to slide on snow and ice and easier to handle... this is a throwback which is slightly dangerous to have a rear wheel drive car simply because of the perception that it is sportier and more powerful..
I know this isn't directly relevant, but I really hope they put the CT4-V Blackwing 3.6l motor into the CT5-V (rather than keeping the 3.0l engine.)
It’s unfortunate there’s no 2 door option.
I didn't see the part where the gas peddle was pushed. Almost barely went over 28mph, you do great reviews but you could be test driving a 1,000HP exotic car and not go over 30. Nobody expects 100mph but we gotta see one 0-60 please lol. On a side note I'm heavily looking into buying this once my lease is over in a couple months but need to see a little bit of the road capability. A fast car going to 30mph isn't working haha 😉 thanks for all your great work of the ends and outs of everything with the car vids though.
I always thought the v meant it came with the 6.2
The RWD version is even better (for people who don't need AWD of course) bc it is available with magnetic ride.
That's exactly what I got, RWD to get the magnetic ride control. With winter tires it drives fine through harsh winter in my area. I was debating between CT4V and CT5V and picked CT4V RWD for a more nimble and lighter weight car. Handling is a joy.
Living in Michigan I can't decide between the AWD or mag ride... Decisions decisions...
@@flybyguy1450 Try both if you can. I don't like the choppy ride of the standard suspension that comes with AWD mainly due to short wheelbase and rough road conditions. MRC with RWD transforms the ride big time, very comfortable in touring mode and still road compliant in track mode with zero body roll. You do need a good winter tires set if the roads in your area are snow covered during winter. The Snow/Ice mode is quite efficient at limiting slippage.
wow that price with options is less then a 330i m
Just a suggestion, less coffee.
Plz push the cars a bit more next time
The whole point of people wanting a ct4 V instead of ct4 base is the power you get out of it
U were going to be fine w those tires even in the cold weather. Its AWD u will not lose traction 🙄 plz push the cars a bit more at least go on the highway and reach speed limit
I'm really not here to bash this car it's a nice looking car that's why I came to this page I prefer my Mercedes Benz AMG GLE 53 fcoupe by far but I love the look of this car I really
I love how Mercedes and other cars call these trucks coupes. I have a GLE 450 and I’m like dude it’s still a 4 door while shopping for a GLC 300 “coupe”. I thought coupe meant two door.
“Popping” “plop” “pop”
I won't be able to decide between 4v and 5 v until the last minute.
I had the same issue. Spec'ed the same the 5 was 11 grand more than the 4. makes sense, but the minor amount of space you get in the trunk and rear seat isnt worth it IMO. I agree that it should have the V6 and V8 option with the V Sport and V Blackwing.
I ended up getting the CT5-V. Love it so far.@@philski24
No thanks. I’m gonna keep my ATS sport 2014
I agree with you 100%. In my opinion, the Cadillac of today is better looking then it has ever been. And as far as the weedeater motor, I would NEVER buy a Cadillac with such a small motor in it. To me, it is a slap in the face. And it sounds terrible absolutely terrible.
General motors (Cadillac) Lean
from their mistakes at the expense of the owners
P O S GENERAL MOTORS
Cadillac is so dumb, you can get the v8 camaro, which has more power than the cts-v blackwing for 38k. No mystery why the Camaro, on the same chassis, has 20x the ats/ct4 sales. If they just put the lt1 in this it would sell like bananas, seems like a no brainer..
Cadillac is sleek and it carries more prestige than a ghetto Camaro.
You can see out the Caddy.
@@willardarmbruster8111 lemme spell it out for you since y'all can't read. Im saying Cadillac should put a V8 in the ct4, same way the Camaro does, charge a little more cause it's Cadillac, and sell a ton. I'd be the first in line to buy it. And don't talk to me about a ctsv or ct5v. They charge a 35k premium for an engine that Chevrolet sells factory direct for 21k, no thanks.
@@RindosRides Thank you. I was able to read your entire reply with the exception of "lemme", "y'all" , "Im", and "cause"'.
@@anthonycruz5569 So Camaro s are ghetto now?
5-v is way better and worth the extra 10k
Size wise ? Can you actually tell the diff if we put them side by side ?? iphone mini FANATIC here 😂
@@zeiram5849 yes I bought the 5-v over the 4-v. Not just size… power, sound and look.
Damn bro. Sorry we ain’t ballers like you
@@BFELLY I agree with Ben in the video the v6 should have been in this car, the 4clyinder is fast but not as exiting to drive since it’s so muted.
@jordan Rose I don't know about look
Not another car with a tablet sticking up
My Audi A5
You always drive like a 105 year old grandma.
At $56k it is NOT a bargain. Looks cheap and boring.
The M340I has 381 horse power, the Audi S4 has 349 horse power and leg room in the backseat for around the same amount of money
The S4 starts at $52k, the 340i starts at $56k, this starts at $46k. Not REALLY the same money.
@Mark Coopers there's a wholesale dealership not far from my house who had a 2021 BMW M340I with around 18,000 miles on it for under $48,000 and they had a 2022 Audi S4 with less they 8,000 miles on it for under $42,000, neither one of those cars are even broke in with that many miles on them. Besides that, you're the one who try to compare them with that Cadillac
@@robertscott305 Thats comparing a used vehicle to brand new, of course the price will be close. A similarly used Caddy would depreciate similarly, and we'd be right back where we started. Also I sure didn't bring up those vehicles to compare to the caddy first, so not sure what that last line is supposed to mean...
whether those cars are broken in or not at that milage is debatable, I've seen the BMW 4L be so mistreated by it's driver before 8k miles it isn't worth buying. If this was a wholesaled car from auction and it's being discounted that much in this market thing probably has some issues
@Mark Coopers anyone who would give $59,000 dollars for that car is crazy. For one, it's not worth that kind of money. 2. people a year or two ago, the government gave people money to live, and they went out and bought way too much car, and now they can't afford the payments on them so now Repossessions are going through the roof you can get a much nicer vehicle for a lot less money
@@robertscott305 Why would you buy a new Honda civic for 24k, you can get a low mile 2006 Cayman S for the same price? Seriously people are so silly, why aren't they comparing brand new vehicles at MSRP to a used vehicle local to me in indeterminate condition? Almost like that defeats the whole point of talking about new cars, which come in a standard condition from the factory.....
Dude, work on your speaking. Why do you start each sentence slowly then you speed up and eat your words mid sentence? Super annoying
Sounds terrible
Ik I own it and I just bought a new exhaust for it.
@@mlugo9 Was is worth it and, if so, where did you get it?
Yes terrible
I have the ct5v
Yes big bucks but a stay with v black
@@cultofmodernism8477 100% worth it and I bought I’d off my friend who ordered 2 I’ll ask where he get it and respond again
Jesus is coming didnt know if you knew
gotta be one of the ugliest cadillacs ever built.. its the same design they had 20 years ago! can you say RETREAD!?
The front looks nice but the side & back is a deal breaker for me
more GM JUnk... I couldnt even fit in it.. its smaller than a cavalier
anyway the 2.7 is a disaster!. ... would you buy a sports sedan that uses a failed TRUCK engine? the 10 speed tranny is for a bike not a car... and this engine has major valvetrain and turbo issues... 2.7 displacement means you will driving a VIBRATOR... what a joke.. I cannot believe people buy this junk...this engine wont make it past 50000miles...another repackaged rebadged GM Disaster.. Good Job Mary!
@Guili Marconi. Go buy a Fiat.
@@willardarmbruster8111 Is that your real name ?
@@tonyw1563 No it is not. It is not George Baxter either.
@@willardarmbruster8111 I guess I’m right
Odd...I am 6'6'' and 350 and I had no issues fitting in the driver seat of the CT4 - V. It was quite comfortable actually. Its nothing like my G8 or SS but it was a way better feel than some of the other cars I looked at before picking it up.
There are still way too many things on this car I would never use too many features I'd never use ...they should reduce the price and then when the car start selling a lot that's when you raise the price like everyone else does..
It's a very good looking car especially the interior but it has too much power which is begging for an intersection accident and the rear wheel drive is outdated it's more prone to slide on ice or snow a rear wheel drive car ...finally Cadillac is getting rid of the old man image it had in the '80s and '90s and 2000s
I'm sorry, sir, there is no such thing as, TOO MUCH POWER. Buy an old Yugo. They don't have any power at all. Can't hardly get out of their own way. No offense, but power is easy to control if you are a good driver. I've had cars that had incredible power, never ever lost control of any of those cars.
