One thing that I have noticed in Spain is that over the years there are fewer and fewer smoking, The beaches are still littered with cigarette butts but again nothing like a few years ago Not too long ago the Spanish had a real love affair with smoking. Also I have noticed that when I watched videos of walkabouts in Spain is how clean they are compared to England. What a great place Spain is.
Dog shit everywhere in Spain.
I've smoked fro over 50 years, and throughout that time, I have always carried my own ashtray, its only polite, and respectful 😉

Wished people would respect the laws in the UK when coming to reside.
I'm a smoker, and I'd like to smoke 1 or 2 if I spent a few hours at the beach. But sure, butts all over are a nuisance to me as well. So, smokers, do as I do --- put your extinguished butts BACK IN YOUR CIGARETTE PACK. (John in Alicante)
Not only cigarettes but also pipas shells get on my nerves and also people spitting them out. Terrible, but thats just my opinion folks.

Seriously, if this assault had happened in a traditional work-place setting it would have had more serious repercussions, without any push back, but because it happened in a sports celebration context its OK. Rubiales was technically a boss and the act was completely inappropriate in any setting. His behavior as a mentor and boss was inexcusable. There needs to be push for more sexual harassment education @@catherinemori4496
Here in the far Eastern Algarve, I live 1km away from a beautiful, 12km long, Atlantic Coastal beach which gets very crowded during the summer months. To keep the beach clean, the Local "Camaras" have invested in a wondrous machine that chugs its way up and down the beach every day (and at night in the season) cleaning the beach of all human deposits. Don't know what the machine costs but given the value of tourism, it's money well spent I think.

My father was a smoker and never dropped his butts on the ground. I remember when we were not at home and there was no ashtray he would snuff it out and place it in his pant cuff until he found a proper receptacle. So, I think dropping cigarette butts is lazy and annoying, especially as I have never smoked.
Hundreds of home owners in the Canary Islands have been hit with £2,000 fines for refusing to rent out their holiday properties to tourists.
Apartment owners in the Gran Canaria were shocked to receive fines for living in their homes rather than renting out the flats built in complexes intended for tourists.
They are not just required to rent out the apartments to holidaymakers, but they also have to do it through a registered tourist operator and can't do it themselves as well as pay tax.
This is likely to be extended to mainland Spain and include camping and caravan sites intended for tourists.
As is the norm ,the weather forcast for Semana Santa in much of Spain , is rain .

Partridges are hunt by their millions here in Ciudad Real and it rhymes with cartridges. Those plastic cases are everywhere in the country, not to mention the lead. We don't have butts in the sand but our own litter.
I've never seen a Portuguese processao da Semana Santa. Siempre llueve en Semana Santa in Spain, so in Portugal it has to rain twice. Trice in Ireland.

If so many people in the world can afford to travel that means the world economy must be doing pretty well. Sometimes you need to look for signs of what is actually going on instead of depending on the media to tell you.
We have people going for holiday and bringing their pasta etc to save monies. If that is how u measure economy doing well, we are doomed.

Hey Stu, just a heads up about CZcams. I'm subscribed to your channel and would get your new videos in my suggestions, but it's been a couple of weeks that they don't show. I was wondering if something had happened to you, so I had to purposely go to your channel only to find that you had been posting as usual. Something happened to the algorithm.
Changed my ticket to Spain for later this year. I didn't have to pay any more money but my choice of flights is already limited. So my highly unscientific survey tells me that Spain will have another busy year.
After the franco era here ,it was Hashish joints passed along the beach & in streets & everyone under 30 was happy & stoned .

One of the worse features of Spanish politics is the huge proliferation of micro-parties. They do nothing but contribute to the noise and confusion in Parliament and contribute nothing but added expense for the taxpayers.
Perhaps you’d prefer the government to say who is approved and who isn’t. Maybe we should just close undesirable political parties and jail the opposition
@@fensterlips Not the "government" but an impartial electoral commission composed of judges and experts in constitutional law that has the Spanish Constitution as its primary and only guide.. Also, any political party, no matter its size, that proposes the dismemberment of one of the oldest, if not the oldest nation in Europe, without a nationwide constitutional convention where EVERY Spaniard has a vote, should be banned...the above notwithstanding , your reductive, ridiculous virtue broadcast has been received and acknowledged, give yourself a small pat in the back.
