Can't see the attraction drinking while walking but then again I don't walk the streets constantly looking down at my phone either.
GOOD! Spain might even become a nice place to go in the future.
The majority of us in the UK were more than embarrassed by Ollie Alexander's song. No wonder we got Nil Points!
@@stevo728822 sorry you're right, but we came last.
Zero points for the UK in the popular vote…
Embarrassed it was a freak show.
It’s their country and as long as this is applied to all visitors or otherwise then sounds okay.
The type of tourists that drink in the street don’t have €500 let alone €1500. So what is the point?
The point is for drunkards not to come
@@AlexPReal the only way to stop them coming is to make accommodation too expensive for them.
I think the idea is if they don’t pay they get listed at Border entry points meaning no more vacation in Spain . Kinda clever !
Yolanda Díaz needs to learn what genocide means. Any Nation is allowed to defend itself.
The sooner cancel it the better xx
Just seen a Spanish truch driver with a can of beer driving... might be an idea to start here then progress to the streets.. but yes.. think all countries should have a law that stops drinking on the public streets
I'm thinking of taking Richard's place for a couple of years just to slow the onset of arthritis, thanks for the positive vibes Stu.
The UK also gave Isreal 12 points.
It’s a fucking song contest ! Try to keep up.
Let's stop paying for this rubbish and help our ex soldiers.
How long before the Mainland adopts the out of hand Booze situation ,naturally Benidorm comes straight to mind ,I bet the Councils on the the Mainland are watching the situation like a Hawk . The Canary Islands seem to be toughening up on this as well .
Obviously the graffiti in Spain is not seen as an issue, because the authority would crack down on it, they can crack down on anything when they want.
Went to Barcelona it’s everywhere the same as Palma there’s even scribbling on the Cathedral it’s a major problem everywhere but nobody seems to do anything about it
Looks like a very shabby hotel…..
You are being unkind and rude.
Most hotels are shabby.
I've seen many kids drinking outside of discos their mainly in malls or on the edge of,so fechnically their not in the street.never heard of any fines.
Sure there are, amount depends on the place but normally from 50 euro.
In a song contest one should vote for the song and the singer, where they come from should be of very secondary importance.
Sorry missed the livestream. On holiday in beautiful Sidmouth, Devon where I was born. Weather has been great so far but from tomorrow sadly a weather front
moves in
Spain would want to sort out its migrant issues before anything or its lost!! Just like europe
The EU does what it is told too. Brexit was pointless if you serve the yanks. The yanks run the EU. Busy screwing us over.
Spain is in Europe
I'm just back from Malaga, we hardly saw any immigrants. We did see some on the beach in Marbella selling bags etc.
Torevieja, I saw you in your car. I prefer your description on the property front you'd be a great estate agent
Not that it matters, but way to go, you closed out, without giving us your location.
Cheers!
Does to no drinking in the street apply to the bars and Restaurants that have chairs and tables outside on the streets or full Tapas bars that people spill outside drinking and eating onto the streets?
Have you seen the Aurora lights xx
As usual a blinkered approach from those in ‘power’. By ‘cracking down’ in certain areas they will just move the problem to elsewhere. Also the drink restrictions at all inclusives punishes those that don’t drink to excess.
Good idea to stop street drinking
crazy to get an apartment with the squatters effect
Love Salamanca Stuart, we have stayed in the city a couple of times and loved it! 😍
The end to all hen and stag do destinations, and the youth are going to choose somewhere else. Once word gets around a fine can cost the entire holiday they're going to find it becomes an old age pensioners destination.
I doubt it will recover as much income from an older clientele unless they can encourage long stay visitors. But the changes in European policy over long stays and political obfuscation will probably discourage that.
I think they'll find their tourist industry is going to shrink and struggle, I hope they've planned for that?
Good move to ban drinking in the street, UK did that years ago.
Yeah, and how well did that go?😂
Hi Stu the chap it sed he is moving back to uk can’t afford to live in spin with his pension quite confusing cheers, Al
Wow
I thought it interesting that Israel although not in Europe was allowed to participate and Russia was banned since 2022 over Ukraine. Not to mention since Brexit, the Uk falls out of favor every year. I enjoy Eurovision but as the winner of this year´s contest and many of the contestants have said, perhaps it´s time to have a look at the EBU and fix things. It should not be political but let´s face it, it is.
Might get some lads together go over and just act drunk like a bunch of lunatics can still keep my top on whilst i dance around sober.
Madrid is too far from the sea.
The politicising of the Eurovision has gone on for years A sad reflection, but perhaps the only large space where the ordinary person can make their views felt This year it seems it was a contest between the supporters of Isreal and the LTB ETC groups virtually ALL the songs were crap...Switzer4land won with perhaps the worst maybe because He wore a dress...Graffiti again is a protest for the guy on the street..Its just as ugly
That suggestion of combatting the graffiti issue is interesting however as long as it's the rubbish ones (tags mainly) rather than the artistic/mural graffiti.
Artistic graffiti, such as that of Boa Mistura, is state funded
I hope this drinking law applies to everyone!!!!
Burgos or Valladolid
I´m thinking Burgos as well. 😄
Mother's Day. Globally.
Mother's Day in Spain was a week ago.
Mothering Sunday is in March in the UK!
Isn't that law in Britain
Ah Spain how boring even worse now with all its new rules, nothing to offer but beaches and beer and they want to try and stop tourist from using it, well keep it for yourselves then hope you can keep all those businesses up and running, you will need all the migrants in europe to help you out in running things on the cheap.
Please do not talk about Australia in Europe !!!
You must be in Majorca
Salamanca?
Did you find the frog?
Omg we're are your eyebrows 😂😆
The general public in Europe are far more in tune with Israel than their governments. Especially the left wing governments who have very short memories.
Crackdown?
Hello Stuart. Hot here again xx
Turismo de borracheras 😁👍
Burgos
Hello I assume you meant not selling Alcohol after 10pm is just shops ? Not bars and clubs or hotels ?
As for the Eurovision it seems it was used by the silent majority to support Israel a d especially those too scared to support Israel publicly. Of course the jury vote was properly rigged as in every one of the top 10 got "national jury" votes as well as public but strangely although everyone in the top 10 got jury votes in the 100's it dipped to 52 for Israel at number 5 then went back into the hundreds for the rest. So is Spain likely to be bombing Israel any time soon ?? I love Mallorca and been about 7 or 8 times but not for a few years now
Do you know anything about the shooting in Antequerra xx
I am guessing you are in Salamanca.
That´s Salamanca for sure :)
Brits who believe that they possess an inherent right to behave reprehensibly while on vacation jn Spain, are so wrong.
Using Spanish holiday venues as a toilet, will cease forthwith and Brits who are ignorant of, or ignore these changes in tourism regulations, will find themselves suffering heavy financial penalties and/or abruptly removed from Spain.

You sound Australian
What gave it away, his Aussie accent?
Yes that clinched it, I thought he sounds like a Paul Hogan.
