Ayanokoji Is A Monster

- Ayanokoji is my favourite protagonist in fiction, and after this analysis, he has been cemented as one of my favourite characters of all time. His traumatizing past stripped away his concept of emotion, where now he is void of substance. He is trying to do the mental work to undo the psychological damage and disprove a certain person in his life, but the uphill battle proves to be tougher then he anticipates. I put a lot of work into this analysis, and it’s my longest video to date. I hope you guys enjoy.

Thinking about it, this makes Ichinose really the perfect foil for him. She tries to solve her problems by being upfront about them, while Ayanokouji scheems in the background. She is also by far the most emotional intelligent character in the series.
Maybe that’s why he safed her on multiple occasions. To still be able learn from her and to understand her.
Agreed. 😌
nope to make her to owe him one and he was seeing someone suffering it made him think of his generation
@@Mosdra_Kazuma Ayanokoji knows more than the average human will learn in their lives. However, he is very un-skilled in regualar social interaction. Another thing is that one of Ayanokoji's main goals is to disprove/defeat his father. This means finding someone better than him who can defeat him. I would not be suprised if he is trying to get Ichinose to improve so she can become a rival to him.
He was trying to disprove his father's belief that humans always prioritized their own happiness. He was just trying to lead Ichinose on to see if she would choose her own happiness when it minimizes the amount of happiness for everyone. (Spoiler Y2V4) She failed his test when she chose him, knowing 3 of her classmates would get expelled.
Every kid in ayanokojis generation of the wr either died or was so broken they would be in a mental hospital for the rest of their life. One kid was able to survive being ayanokoji. The white room either will break you mentally or physically. It's insane.

Those who actually want to become him, hate to say this but forget it. You may come close to his personality and ideology, but the Intellect he possess and the upbringing he had is the key point for him becoming this perfect, now that i think about it.. what parent would nearly break their child mentally and physically, risk their health to make a perfect human, yeah.. no you're not that guy I'm sorry to say. No parent in our world would commit to that. Now sure you can try and be as observant as he is, but it's thanks to Ayanokōji himself that he is that observant of people, it's not a thing you can learn so quickly, the knowledge he possess about psychology, sociology, history is more than the normal human could ever obtain, frankly i couldn't care less about people trying to become the impossible, but know this..Ayanokōji himself wants to change, so what would that make you?
For many people the attainable part is the most important being a perfect human is not desired but the mannerisms that come with it is desired
My mother would mentally and physically break me and actually did risk my health to make me a “perfect human”. Ayano and I have a similar childhood. I was raised isolated from society. Homeschooled, never had any friends, I was strictly prohibited from leaving the house. The only time I was allowed to leave was when I had a doctors appointment. I never cried no matter how much she tortured me with items leaving bruises turning into scars all over my body and this is what angered her even more. She says I have no shame or guilt for making a mistake but what she didn’t understand was that she normalized emotional invalidation. I didn’t get angry, I didn’t complain nor cry, I would give her a blank stare and look at her straight in the eyes while she beat me, and psychologically abuse me. Anyways, everything I did had to be perfect, even something as little as placing the aluminum foil the correct way to cook something. My mother would manipulate me and she loved to call me a pathetic human being and that the world wouldn’t accept me the way I was, because of my ethnic origins and flaws. I had to be perfect, make no mistakes and I would be beat if any were made, long story short, I lost most of my emotions, not all, my mother disowned me for being a disappointment and regrets birthing me. I now live with my father. Good thing is I finally get to go to a public school and leave the house when I want. I just don’t know how to socialize because I’ve been living in an isolated area not being able to experience the outside world. My mother is now in a psychiatric hospital after I told my father everything that happened and from the emails and messages he received from her too personal to tell. Goodbye
@@anti2944 You went through a lot man, hope your doing better now.
@@anti2944 villain backstory?
Frankly he isn’t that far off of a goal for me tbh. I even see myself far surpassing him, given his limited ambition and basic desire for freedom.
From Ayanakoji we can learn so much! He's a character, I know you can't say he's perfect but in my opinion, he's near perfect. Due to the fact he's the puppet master and can control others while others don't see. He's the perfect character who works in the shadows and others will question who is behind and they will not know it. The key part where Ayanokoji strives is that can hide it. A lot of people usually will give away themselves when they do something in the shadows. He is also a master of self-control and perseverance.
A character a lot of us want to be, become but won't attain due to many factors - upbringing, education etc. Even if we try to learn it later in life, it won't be as natural as for Ayanakoji.
Bro he's literally an anime character that was made by a random dude.
@@lookatyourself1927 though it's not like he can shoot blast from his hands dude we can learn from him
@@lookatyourself1927just like any of your favorite characters? Ironic is it? 😂 you might as well stay away from theater if you can’t appreciate well made characters
I don’t know why i never put 2 and 2 together. But the white room in COTE is actually pretty similar to Kinderheim 511 in Monster. Not only that but both products (ayanokoji and Monster’s antagonist) are both genius sociopaths created by their experiences there
He’s the perfect definition of an egoless human
No he isnt. He wants to win, always. That requires ego. He simply avoids distractions and conceals his intentions.
... Ego is also different from that. His willingness to win, is from him just not wanting to be punished. It's not an ego one.
He also WANTS to lose as stated a few times in LN.
He also always thinks what would be, if he's not the best, what if the person he's against or with, is better? He also thinks of those possibilities. Which isn't something a person with ego would do
No one can beat me even if I go easy on them
Ayanokoji
I can honestly relate to koji’s desires and mentality heavily, I often find my self saying and doing things that hurt others without a second glance and can’t really tell why they are mad at me till much later. So I can relate to his goal of just being normal
Have you seen a therapist?
Now you wanna make me a rewatch this anime
its not even complete
I feel like the anime didn’t capture the other aspects of his personality they got his blank face right but nothing else rlly in terms of expressions
Its because there isn't any in LN Horikita points out how "DOLL" like face he has no matter what happens his facial expressions never changes
Thats because the studio didn't have to much money to put inside the anime all Kiyotaka's thoughts .
he needs talk no jutsu
Loki good video you sound like one of those like multi million subscriber channels
Wow dude this comment means a lot. Thank you

I thought at first that Ayanakoji was just another “sigma male” character like Sakuta from Bunny girl Senpai, but after watching both seasons, he’s far more than that. An absolute manipulative mastermind is what was made here
Want to point out that for the 50's that ayanokoji got were all he got the easy ones wrong while the hardest ones that only 2% got right were all right. Spoiler warning ahead btw.
In y2v1 ayanokoji got a full 100% on a math test. The last question was one that yorichi(forgot his name but he is really good at math) could not even comprehend the question it was that difficult. That is how knowledgeable ayanokoji is. He never up to that point had a problem he could not solve.
So true dude.
W vid bro
Thanks man 🔥🔥
I think Ayanokouji deep inside is motivated by revenge against his father and white room.
However, its not simply revenge as killing, he would have done it easily. He wants to completely emotionally crash them, so they would experience same thing he did
loss of humanity and emotions.
In fact, with the tome 0, we know exactly hat the white room was..
This video explains this character perfectly! I had to look back at his face multiple times when he was getting pat down for that girls panties on the island. How can anyone NOT make a “oh crap” face during that situation?? Unless that person is completely void of any emotions and is a true psychopath! He even says in his head the situation is really bad. Not the only triggering situation that happened to this character too. Catching a rapist in the act. Finding out the “nice” girl is so crazy she scares him. Here I thought the black hair girl was a psychopath but she just got bad/no social skill causing her unable to communicate her desires with people. He was immediately attracted to her because she’s close to his personality. They are both unable to develop any healthy relationship unfortunately due to their disorders.
He was not attracted. He saw her as useful
Not for a minute did kushida(nice girl) scare him. He did not even have to have his gaurd up to defeat her. She had 2 weapons which were information and truth. Ayanokoji simply gave false information and made truths into lies and lies into truths, rendering her loose. Also part of the reason for Ayanokoji not having any changes of expression during the panty theif scene is due to his experience in the wr, where he ended up getting a perfect poker face. Also as the person said before he was not attracted to horikita. He mostly did not even want to use her at first until the 1st island exam. He stated that he won't really be a helper himself to reach class A (but will be average) but will help others around him so they can reach class A. Also he does have emotion, just can't show it.
I think prof sakayanagi made and put together the TANH for arisu and kiyotaka to be able to make friends and grow the school was made for them and all the classes before them where just used to test the way the school works and to give it some history and so they would have upperclassmen because no normal highschool would be able to do anything for those two
Arisu Nun's grandfather founded the school and I remember that was before Arisu was born
Patience and hard work thats what i love about you keep up the good work
p.s : if you try getting with other creators largere audience would know you do that with stitches and comments
Yes for sure I would l! Thanks for the comment bro
The Fact What He Was Holding Back The Entire Time Just To Have Fun Is Funny.
7:30 To me it’s idealism vs relativism and post-modernism. I still don’t understand how these relativists can believe in the same value of people. Everyone is of different value relative to a standard. The most important standards are determined by the individual. So, for everyone, individuals have different worth according to certain standards. So how can a subject proclaim that everyone is of the same value. For that to be true would mean that every standard is of the same value or to have no standards at all. Btw, the most important standard to me became how much somebody loves and cares for me which makes it impossible for me to value a stranger more then my mother. I have drastically changed what I value behause now I understand my real self-interest.
Placed in class d the class of big d energy

I disagree with the things you said he is wanting in life. Overall he just wants freedom and the ability to live his life without being forced into the white room again.
I don’t think he is a sociopath
He isn’t, he’s been developed into a pseudo-sociopath. He completely suppresses his emotions, but has them. He’s shown that he cares, but doesn’t know why at all
You can argue sociopathy to be the amount of empathy. From that perspective virtually anyone can become a sociopath, well not everyone but the calculative ones can.
For me Ayano is not perfect even in the eyes of the WR, yes he completed the hardest generation in the WR but the WR change the theme of the generation everytime, imo the WR is just collecting data from each generantion and them they will try to make the real perfect human with that.
the other kids in the white room can't get to his level to make it worst he was always holding back
So I love this content very much so keep it up but am i the only one that finds his voice extremely irritating?
