Yet he was never treated as a human, he was treated as tool for his fathers ambitions, a white canvas which many could paint as they please, someone who saw horrors as child and could never truly recover, he became a demon to survive no more no less, he wasnt loved nor was he cherished, he was experimented on who knows how many ways and for all the power he has was seen nothing more that a pawn to others in one way or another, he helps others and yet others rarely help him, he was alone in every way possible in a dark world without hope, he mearly exsisted, he may view kei as tool depending how you see it and yet he did give her a partnership he did say i will act on your intrests and you will on mine, why didnt he make it a master slave one he could have easily, because deep down he wanted someone to walk with him in darkness and kei due to already seeing cruelty in her life and surviving was the perfect candidate and because she was the first person who could potentialy understand him
At the end of the day ayanokoji is someone who has seen the very worst humanity has to offer far to young and to sacrifice his heart just to survive
i belive he saves others just so they dont suffer the same as him, so they dont lose their heart, because he understands better that anyone the suffering that losing his heart had on him, after all he said himself "i am a horrible human being"

What I love most about Ayanakouji is his curiosity about other people and things he doesn't understand,he wants to learn and that's where his intelligence stems from. Ayanakouji is my favourite character in fiction because of his complex character and that his strong and smart but doesn't have a giant ego. He is also a great listener and has understood human nature of for a long time. I'm sure there was a psychology class at the white room because they all the students understand human nature so well while being so young
