Watched ep 13 yesterday i can say he's very unpredictable and you can't read his mind, no expression, never smile and never felt emotions for anyone, he just treat people as tools. What a great character.

The voice acting was really good too. What a good character moment, it shows that he has emotion, but it's become warped, which this season tried to convey more of.

Light Yagami is actually feels pretty simple to understand, I like him better than Ayanokoji

And Ayanokoji manipulation level gets at a another level in Light novel Y2V7 where he expelled someone who he wants to without even knowing his name and even face and not many things about him and yagami knew many details about koji but koji knowed this much that he was from white room only.
I find it pretty funny as it literally might be a stand in for Light Yagami. The biggest thing as well is that Ayanokoji had to go up against other people like himself all time in the white room. Plus he still needed to do the same in the school once his father actually tried to drag him back to the white room by sending in other kids from the white room in order to expel him. Light and L are pretty much the only people in the world of Death Note like each other.
The biggest thing here is also the fact that Ayanokoji's training in the white room, which as a child he was already at a college level and proves it by acing a math test that had college level problems. When he goes to the school he's already above Light's level, and plus he doesn't have any of the weaknesses of Light to losing composure.

AYANOKOGI IS A KIND OF SUPER HUMAN EXPERIMENTED AND CREATED AND PLACED AMONG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ACCORDING TO THE STORY...BUT LIGHT WAS A NORMAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO ALONE MANIPULATED HIGH PROFILE OFFICERS AND WAS ABLE TO MANIPULATE A SHINIGAMI TO DO WHAT SHE WAS NEVER MENTED TO DO.

@@phantom9x24nope, if you read LN, ayanokouji has enough feats to prove he's above 200 iq, just see his strategies, he has layers and layers of complexity in his strategies. Not even counting y2, even y1 ayanokouji is easily above 200+, if you see his strategy from v3 to v7(all plans were absolutely gold and realistic, and he achieved many goals from these series of stratgies) from the rumor strategy, he achieved 9 goals and then he goes on saying "all of this was nothing but a piece of the puzzle indicating there was more to it,rumor strategy starts from y1v6 to y1v9. Everything was planned. Read LN, it's a masterpiece. If people count his every strategy and actually analyse LN rather than fake read it, he'll easily surpass light and L.(he already does)
But Ayanokōji could still do the same it was easy to manipulate the shinigami since she was emotionally attached to Misa and able to fool the Task force because of his father
And also koji could fool alof them

I don't think it's fair to conclude that Koji is the better manipulator for the reasons you stated because it absolutely depends on who he's manipulating. Light manipulated smarter people, and the person he couldn't manipulate was the world's greatest detective, L, who is likely more intelligent than anyone in Koji's highschool. As well as that, Light has in fact been able to outsmart L numerous times to the point where L even thought about dropping the case entirely. He has other feats like taking down entire FBI teams, manipulating Naomi and Misa, and manipulating the entire Task Force for 5 years after L's death.
I haven't actually seen or read COTE, but I've seen this argument before, and I've never agreed with it. Saying that Light manipulated "smarter people" Ayanokoji isn't fair, in my opinion, because if you really look at Light's manipulation feats, they might not be as impressive as they may seem. Light didn't exactly manipulate an FBI team. He manipulated one agent into screwing over the rest because of his sheer incompetence. Raye was honestly a massive idiot and Light's plan never would have worked if Raye actually did his job correctly. I can elaborate more Raye if you'd like, but there's quite a lot to get into, and I wanna discuss the other examples, but the point is that the demise of the FBI group was more on Raye being stupid than it was Light being smart.
Naomi was probably Light's best manipulation example, but even that only worked because of his status as the police chief's son, and Naomi being heavily emotional and compromising her judgement. I firmly believe that Light would never have fooled her if she was at 100% like she was in Another Note.
And the Task Force were heavily biased because he was their boss's son. They would have never believed that he was Kira if there was even a sliver of evidence suggesting he might be innocent, and again, they weren't greatly intelligent themselves.
On the other hand, Ayanokoji's victims are supposedly meant to be the absolute smartest and most promising students in the country. Now, again, I haven't actually seen COTE, so Ayanokoji might still be inferior to Light as far as I know. But still, I just think the statement that he manipulated government agents and Ayanokoji only manipulated school kids is a massively unfair oversimplification.

@@Axel-ye8tt please read my comment again. Sure, Light tricked Raye, but the whole thing only worked because of Raye's own stupidity. If Rate had just immediately reported the events of the hijacking to his superiors like he should have, he would then be removed from the case and replaced per FBI protocol, which would render the rest of Light's plan pointless and impossible. If you're going to justify Ayanokoji's manipulation as his opponents being dumb, then you have to address that the exact same is the case for Light.
Ryuk and Rem weren't very smart either. Rem was automatically conveniently suicidally in love with the girl who was automatically conveniently in love with himself. No matter how the scenario went, Rem was always going to sacrifice herself to save Misa whenever L gets too close. The only thing Light did was to make sure L got to close by essentially almost losing on purpose. The only part that really required intelligent planning was the removal of any evidence on himself, which was also pretty easy to do since he's the only one who has any understanding of anything going on.
As for Ryuk, well, it's made pretty clear that he's really lazy and not very smart either. Light discovering new rules with experimentation isn't very surprising.
Now, again, for all I know, Ayanokoji might very well be less impressive, I still haven't read his story. But I'm trying to explain that Light's manipulation feats aren't as impressive as they're made out to be, and mostly only work because of some convenient outside factor.

I believe Yuuichi is a better manipulator than ayanokoji, but he is not smarter. To me, Yuuichi is the goat of manipulation.
They are way different in manipulation.
Yuuichi uses it like how he does in TG and usually does it immediately, but it have it's flaw and that is how everyone knows he's a crazy bastard soon. Ayanokoji may take a little more time to manipulate, but his manipulation will be more of a long term one + he'll stay in shadows.
They are built for different situations
well yuuichi is a dark empath and he's just taking advantage of that however koji is more smart so could use that better yuu

Good video, I enjoyed the explanation. I'm not up to date on Classroom Of The Elite, I've only seen season 1 of the anime, so it's not really fair of me to compare them yet. From my understanding of your explanations of these characters, Light is more direct and Ayanokoji is more passive. Perhaps it's because we watch half of Death Note from the perspective of Light that it seems like that, but Light himself is actually to most people just a normal high school student. It could also be noted that Light wanted a challenge from L thus making his tasks more difficult to overcome compared to Ayanokoji who only put forth effort when he needed to. Not that I'm saying that this will change the results but I think it would've been interesting to add these in as a factor and compare them. It would've also been interesting if you used more specific moments to point out these traits the characters had. I have yet to get to more of Classroom Of The Elite, so I'll have to take your video as the correct answer as of now, but seeing as how most people agree with you, once I get to finishing the Classroom Of The Elite series I'll probably come to the same conclusion myself if everything people say about Ayanokoji is true.
Just read light novel the second season of the anime is crap to say the least way too much of rushing and leaving alot of detail behind
@@Fates-End I heard it had it's good and bad moments. It being an anime, it would leave out some things, so I imagine that's whatnots people are complaining about. Either way I'll eventually get to both the anime and the light novel.
@@clueanalysis2596 as a Classroom of the Elite fan I can say that it's not bc they left out some details. Most fans would understand that. Worst part is, they changed whole events, sometimes even character placements, rules, basically the whole ass storyline etc. And in the end the anime didn't explain almost anything normally and changed waaaay too much from the goated LN.
Which is why, if you'll start the LN, do it since the Vol 1.

I know this is irrelevant to this video, but this always happens in a lot of anime debates. I always ask myself during these crossover debates. Why do Old Gen Manga Readers/Anime Watchers always hate on New Gen Animes/Mangas? And call it "mid", "fodder", "trash" and "overrated".
Usually its either young people or people who form their opinions based on the fanbase. Or in some cases when a show gets really popular like lets say jjk recently and people have really high expectations for it they might think it didnt meet the high expectations.
Because someone like this Koji guy doesn’t compare to Light 😂 But his fangirls seem to think otherwise 😂 He’s lucky DN was made in the 00s or no one would even know who this kid is 😂

Even if we were to say hypothetically light and ayanokoji were of same iq( which they are not since ayanokoji has arguably way higher iq) even then ayanokoji is much more harder to read , he doesn't crack under pressure , he doesn't show emotions , he doesn't really have an ego to show his skills while it's the contrary for light , he does crack under extreme pressure , he shows a lot of emotions when under pressure and ultimately his egoistic attitude led to his downfall.

He's good, but he's still mid comparing to another manipulators/also to IQ in general. I would say even Yuuichi take him, and yes for some ppl questions Ayano takes Yuuichi too. There is no proof that Ayanokoji won't be able to be smart like that in The Light Novel. Ayanokoji is both born genius and Artificial Genius. It is stated in the Light Novel that he didn't have any problems with all the physical and academic tests. He is the only survivor of the 4th demonic generation while the others didn't have what it takes, while Ayanokoji have no problems. It means Ayanokoji is already Has what it takes. The 4th generation is the most Cruelest/Hardest Generation BTW.

Ayanokoji can lead/rule Japan without any Supernatural help like Death Note. While Light Manipulated countries with his Death Note. If you can give me proof that Light can Rule Japan without the Death Note I will accept that Light is a better manipulator.

Ayanokoji had never shown any impressive feats of manipulation that could be compared to Light’s. Light clearly excels in winning someone over to his side, knows how to deceive smart people into thinking that he’s a trustworthy person-not to mention his talent in socialising with others. Ayanokoji’s problem is that he isn’t really the best when it comes to talking to people or leading others, as well as not being able to _fully_ understand his friends or rivals. His poker face is also another disadvantage… that blank expression of his is the core reason why he’d most likely be suspected by most.
Ayanokoji being the ‘perfect human’, he really has a lot to learn. His method of manipulating, along with his bad habit of ‘manipulating from the shadows’ are the main problems that will someday land him in an unfavourable situation. Light was suspected by L, yet was still able to confuse and toy with his brain; and his almost flawless act of playing the role of an ‘innocent’ boy, a willing to work with some who’d be suspicious of him and a charismatic, charming personality was a key influence to his successful schemes and built-up comfortability in adapting to various situations.
It’s purely your opinion who you think is the better manipulator, but it’s obvious that Light has the upper-hand in this type of comparison.

Bro you clearly don’t know how all of what koji does in the LN, I like light as a character more but overall in manipulation koji wins by a long shot, there were so many times when light almost got caught but the death note came and saved the day, koji on the other hand is at a school full of genius lvl kids and staff members such as light (a few actually on lights lvl or slightly higher) and he’s manipulating them swiftly with hard ever conversing with them at all, and nobody knows it him at all unless he tells them or wants to get caught to later on use them for a plan a few arcs later, and he do it all without a god like weapon

Plus I prefer those guys more who actually did something instead of characters who only talk. Anyone can make a series with characters saying the mc is op or unbeatable but there has to be something done actually. Cote reminded me of danganronpa if the verse is cringe you can do anything plus you can't explain their fans how realism beats cringe.

Lets just say uf ayanokoji got the deathnote L wouldnt have caught him in the first place. The only reason L caught light was due to his overconfidence. He got emotional and gave L the exact coordinates of where he was what age group he was and who he was when he looked into the confidential information of the police. Ayanokoji wouldnt have done all that in tje first place cause he never goes on to prove someone of how good he is if that keeps him in danger.
Light didn't know he was up against someone like L..the greatest detective with 200+ IQ so he made a blunder... As far as age etc things are concerned then L deducted that on his own...L is a freakin genius..you are saying Ayankoji would have never done that bla bla even if Ayad had made different moves, L would have come up with something to ruin the party.....it's never that easy when you are against someone like L

Death note has supernatural powers because the deathnote itself is supernatural object. I highly doubt light could do anything close to what he did if he hadn't forgotten about his previous use of deathnote
It all just comes down to who has more mental stability in order to think rationally. If it comes to manipulation ayanokoji definitely wins this because he I just able to manipulate others not by his own action but use strings to help manipulate other so he always away from the crime scene. To this day, I will never understand people who say Koji manipulates high schoolers while Light manipulates government agents. Those high schoolers have IQs above 200, they are more tactile and swift than any of the police pursuing Kira. Why do people downplay the level of these highschoolers?
