- A rather "douchie" Porsche Panamera Turbo driver was riding the bumper of our Tesla Model Y Performance, so we gladly humbled him...twice.

Stop light racing has always been a way of life in California. Lately, no one wants a go, I think word has gotten out about Tesla.
Same with me, haven't lost a race in my M3P but also haven't raced anyone because they don't seem to wanna go. Maybe some do go but I can't tell from that far away 😅
You know he's going to make a rennlist post tonight about how his interior is better.
And yet I hate that interior. Tesla nails it even there.
lol the fly by at the end was the icing on the cake. I love how he didn't want to pull up even at the light and stayed a quarter panel behind. lololol
I blew away a Dodge Charger and its (douchy) driver yesterday. He was driving like an a-hole at every traffic light. After I gave him a nice dose of humble pie, he wouldn’t even pull next to me at the next light. 😂
Embarrassing and I was a Porsche fan boy all my life. How much is a Panamera Turbo (starts at $154,000), Model Y Performance $59K. Gas is so over and I am so glad, I can't even get excited about any new combustion cars anymore since I know electric is here. For that you can buy a Model Y and two Model 3's and still have about $20,000 to invest into Tesla.

Dude, you took the words out of my mouth. No, I wasn't a Porsche fanboy but I always loved American muscle, big power, and handling/feel. But ever since Tesla came out, the just continue to demolish every other car in terms of technology, efficiency, performance, convenience, and price. It's really hard to be impressed with a ICE car anymore.

Took my boys to test drive a model Y LR, then a few days later we took them to test drive a 2021 Toyota sienna. They told me just buy a tesla and stop looking at anything else :)
I’m a “Petro Head” and never liked Tesla. Wife suckered me into looking at one and in exchange I don’t have to go shopping with her. One test drive later, I ordered the MYP on the spot. Lol.

Thankfully though, for a rich person’s arrogance, the Tesla model Y performance costs $80,000 Canadian. For a rich person’s ego, atleast they’re not being beaten by a traditional suv, they’re being beaten by a high end SUV driven by wealthy people.

I own a Model Y AWD with boost upgrade. I swapped out the Gemini rims for Martian Wheels and also removed the OEM stock battery and replaced it with the Ohmmu battery. I'm getting 3.8 seconds on my 0 to 60, pulling away from ICE cars puts a smile ony face everytime.
That’s just f-ing awesome! Martian wheels are 2/3 the weight of stock rims. I would switch in a heartbeat but I love the way my 21” Uberturbines look. Btw, what do you use to record the 0-60? Draggy?

Have a model Y, just popped the acceleration boost the other day... I’m north east so it didn’t make sense to get performance with summer tires and all the potholes around here
Had the acceleration boost option was available, I too would’ve gotten that instead of the P. Last winter I hardly drove my P.
it would have been perfect, if after the second time you burned that porsche. He then sped ahead way above the speed limit, then gets pulled over for speeding!!!!

Porsche is stuck in the past of their legacy and saying that they will not introduce and electric version of the 911 until after 2030. NOT going to happen I predict in 18 months you will get a version offered of they will get left out in the dust.
I believe Taycan is the test bed for their electric technology. I like to see them succeed - I had a Cayman S and it was a great car.

True...I’m a huge Porsche fan and was actually disappointed I beat a Panamera Turbo.
And Tesla will always be Tesla. Sporty, Performance, a modern day spaceship, high tech, with unparalleled safety.

The crazy thing is, Tesla will be making a semi truck that will accelerate as fast as the Model 3. Just imagine your Porsche getting smoked by a long haul big rig.

If you really switched your car because of that, you likely have some self-esteem issues and/or don’t understand the model. 911 are not made for drag race and don’t wanna be. I also came from a 911 but I switched because I need more space and Porsche has no all-electric Cayenne out yet.

I was amazed at how fast the MYP accelerated. I literally just got the car a few weeks prior to this video.
A Panamera Turbo is a 3.4 second 0-60mph car. Even the Performance model Y can't hit that time. You sure it was a Turbo and not a standard Panamera?
It has the “Panamera Turbo” badge on the back...but it wasn’t a “Panamera Turbo S” which is ridiculously fast.

Too hard to track every “other” spec. But once Plaid is out it won’t matter
