have you had to sharpen them for that entire year at all? if not, would you say they need to be?

Tactical Center we've given them light touch ups with an Arctic Fox scythe stone, but only just recently! They're very simple to maintain! And this despite being used on cardboard daily. They were still working fine, too, we just like our edges super crisp!

This is gonna sound dumb as hell but how well do they work on fabric?

I mean...they'll cut it. But they're based on a foundation of a model of shears normally used for cutting roofing flashing and asphalt shingles, so they're a heavier overall build than is typically used for fabric shears. These would be more like canvas duck-cutting shears more than dressmaker's shears.
