The only thing I would have done differently is I would have gotten a truck with a 8 foot bed and a high top truck cap. Far as the build I watched a lot of videos and used incorporated the best ideas from multiple sources and I can't think of anything I would change. I have a cargo trailer that I am going to make into a camper next year so follow my channel.

@@IRAboy74 ahhh we didnt keep measurements, tbh a lot of it was measure cut and sand to fit to perfection. I know we made the drawer 9" deep and the bed came out about 28-30" off of the drivers side truck bed

I had a 95 Ram Van back in the day. We just put plywood across the wheel wells, then added some 2x4 supports. THAT was simple. This is less simple, but x18 billion times more useful. Good work.

You definitely have patience. I put polyurethane on stuff everyday at work. I use a 1/2 inch nap paint roller the back brush it. Much quicker. I like your build thoughts. I have 2001 Taco with same tall camper shell. I am gathering thoughts for my own build currently. Great start. I am concerned if that woods swells at all your tight drawer may become quite sticky!

Wood workers paste wax will make that drawer slick

Whats the difference in camper between this one and the one that has one long window?
Both high tops
Can you give the measurement on height on the higher end towards the back of inside camper(head clearance )
Yes I can definitely measure her out in a future video. I guess no real height difference between the two types of windows just different styles of the sliders
The clamps the holds the camper to your truck. Are the clamps griping with the truck or you got wood on the clamps
They are right on the truck itself and the truck topper. I put some foam in between but just for minor protection
Where did you get your camper shell? I bought my 2001 tacoma from previous owner and can't find a tall one like that
Got mine from the previous owner! Honestly I lucked out, they do seem hard to find. I check occasionally
Is this all treated plywood or what? Starting a similar build!
Not really treated from the store. I used 3 layers of poly over it to seal it once I was done cutting it to size and sanding

I have a 04 Tacoma with a topper like that but I also got a 98 4runner. Which do you think would be good for sleeping?
Both great options! Tacoma might take a bit more work to get what you want but will give you more room I think. Lots of variables ya know

About 28”
How wide is the bed platform and height
Haven’t measure it specifically but I sure will with all the inquiries I’ve been getting
What type of wood?
I used 3/4” in and 1/2” plywood. If I were to redo it, I’d make the whole thing with 1/2”
What model topper is that?
I think its an old leer 122
