George Harrison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne (from ELO) and Roy Orbison. Probably the most all-star band lineup ever seen.
Not probably. Facts🔥
Supergroup, when Petty is the little guy in the group.
Ringo Starr.
@@dranderson6071 being a numbers guy I ran up all the songs under these rock legends belt. Wow.
I beg to differ. Roy Orbison's Black and White Night concert is way more stacked.
The rocking chair with the guitar was for Roy Orbison (Oh, Pretty Woman), who died before the video was shot. You can hear his distinctive twang at 1:48 as it shows his picture. Everybody in the group was a musical icon.
He wasn't from my era and his music isn't really my thing overall but geez, Roy Orbison had one of the greatest voices of all time.
@@lvmarv1 You got it!
@@Tom_McMurtry That's from Roy's resurgence in the 80s (You got it).
He wrote it then died before theyshirnitsi they sotnitbsss A Tribute to him.
Hard to believe Tom Petty, George Harrison, and Roy Orbison are all gone. Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynn are the only ones remaining. It was great how they paid respect to Roy with the guitar in the empty rocking chair yet we hear his voice singing in the song.
It's spelled, "Lynne". C'mon, man, have some respect.
Well said NavyVet - 100% agree
It's funny looking back to when this was released and how everyone thought these guys were so old. Now I'm pretty much older than most of those guys were in the video. 😢😂
Bob Dylan just played here ( Seattle) June 2nd&3rd 2022.
And also showed a photo of the late Roy Orbison on a corner table during his part.
So, George Harrison of The Beatles was visiting Jeff Lynne of ELO. Jeff Lynne played him a song that he wrote and George loved it so much that he asked if he could record it with him. Jeff agreed but first wanted to get his favorite guitar that he left at Tom Petty's house. When they went to pick it up, they asked if Tom would join them. Tom agreed, but suggested they go to Bob Dylans recording studio because it was better than Jeff's. So Tom calls up Bob and asks if they can come over. Less than a couple of hours after this all started, Jeff, George, Tom and Bob were all chatting at Bob's home studio about their mutual heroes and Roy Orbison was brought up. They all really looked up to him and Bob said "I've got his number". And Just like that the amazing Jeff Lynne, had himself a band that included four other people who all have a strong case as one of the 20 most influential musicians of the 20th century.
Great story innit? Thanks Lars! 👍
Learn something everyday. Great story thanks for sharing.
According to the group, that's not true. The first song (Handle with Care) was George's, not Jeff's. He had to put together a B-side song for a release, decided to use it, and asked Jeff to give him a hand.
They actually released a fairly short history video that's worth a watch:
czcams.com/video/SUQ_gj-biIc/video.html
During an interview one of them was asked something along the lines of how they got together. He joked they got Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, a guy that sounds like Bob Dylan and a guy that sounds like the guy that sounds like Bob Dylan and built around that.
Moral of the story: don't be afraid to lend a friend your guitar. ;)
Not recognizing George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, and Roy’s voice makes me feel very, very old and sad…🤣🤣🤣
I'm dying over that
@@wyomarine6341 Give em time :)
Yes, give them a break. It's not like these musicians are on the pop charts.
We need some Dirty World.
This only shows how young these babes are. They only got pubes probably less than a decade ago. So, I understand why they wouldn't know who Bob Dylan is by sight. Or even George. And, also, they're in the discovery phase of music appreciation, which is the early/mid 20s. You start listening to stuff that came before your time. And beyond that, I'm 45 and The Beatles, Dylan, Lynne, Roy O were before my time. When I was 25 in 2001, I would've been able to pinpoint each one save for Lynne (by sight). I knew the song "Don't Let Me Down", of course, but I really only discovered ELO in 1997 w/ "It's A Living Thing" from Boogie Nights. Then I ventured a little further. But I don't blame kids that were actually BORN in 1997 or later not instantly knowing these people. Orbison was old and sick enough that he died before this video was made, so these gents weren't exactly close to the Millennial Generation.
Brad & Lex, you'll love their "Handle With Care"!! They empty rocking chair represents Wilbury's member Roy Orbison who died before the video was made.
Tweeter and the Monkey Man is beautiful as well
handle with care needs to be next.
Orbison was actually in the vid to “Handle with Care.”
handle with care my favourite wilburys main singer and lead guitar George Harrison ex beatles ,every one a star in there own right
Roy is so respected in my generation. An amazing talent, and so missed in Handle with care. All superstars, Melissa Ward here.
Focusing in on Roy's pic then showing the empty chair rocking hits you in the feels big time.
So much Talent in that group . Tom Petty, George Harrison of the Beatles , Jeff Lynn of ELO , Bob Dylan , Roy Orbison WOW
Roy Orbison passed after the song was recorded but before this video was shot. The rocking chair with a guitar on it memorializes Roy.
I told my kids I want this played at my funeral. Bunch of great musicians who got together just for the fun of it and ended up with a great band.Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison. They had already recorded the song before Orbison died so they left his voice in the video and placed his guitar on the empty rocking chair.
this comment just made me cry...awesome idea
The gathering of these greats, I’m satisfied had nothing to do with money…..all about fun and friendship, as you stated!
Great idea!
“Superstars stand out no matter where they are,” says Brad, not noticing 3 of the 4 superstars he just stared at for 3 minutes.
Hey cut him some slack, he's Young they're still learning old music and the old musicians.
Tom Petty was the least famous of the group.
@@MrRestoule he's definitely more famous than Jeff Lynne and maybe even Roy Orbison.
Jim Keltner on drums is as much a legend as the rest of the Wilburys.
Yes, they always forget Jim Keltner. The Drummer of so many Records for so many "stars". He's still alive!
OPIONION: it was Leon Russell who introduce Jim Keltner to the Legends.
Can never forget about Buster Sideburry, best session drummer of all time
The Album was recorded at Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) House
@@michaellockhart554 oh my god. I knew Roy's nickname was Lefty Wilbury, but was that really Jim's nickname? lol
That group has some of the best "Rock n Roll" has to offer, Tom Petty, George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, and last but not least Jeff Lynn. Maybe the greatest assemblage of talent anywhere
"Even if you're old and grey, you still got something to say." I'm a good way from old and grey, but it's amazing to me to watch the variety of appearances, races, sounds, and messages from popular music - popular music, stuff even young people were hearing and watching - from the 80s and 90s and even into the 2000s, and consider how popular music today is entirely different in every way. I can't remember when I've heard a sentiment like this (or many other sentiments) in popular music from the last 15-20 years.
Brad & Lex, when George Harrison asked ELO mastermind, Jeff Lynne, to produce his 1986 album, Cloud Nine, the two rock legends hit it off so well that they decided to create a band of their own, inviting 3 other legends to join the group: Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, and finally, Tom Petty. They quickly made a couple albums, with a couple hits, and a lot of terrific album tracks. Roy Orbison is heard singing on this song, but not seen in the video, except for his photograph, and his guitar in his empty rocking chair, as the video was made after he'd died. The Traveling Wilburys define the term, "super-group". They all pitched in equally in writing the songs, but the production was primarily handled by Jeff Lynne. Next, do the *video* of their hit, *"Handle With Care".*
"ELO Matermind?" I call bullshit. Roy Wood was the creative mastermind behind ELO. Lynne stole the whole concept and kicked him to the kerb. Watch Wizzards See My Baby Jive and you will see where ELO came from as clear as day.
@@goatslunch6991 LOL..They CO-founded the band, and Lynne NEVER so much as asked Roy to leave, let alone "kick him to the curb", you numbskull. Roy left after just one album over arguments with manager, Don Arden, and has ALWAYS remained friends with Lynne. Beyond that, Lynne took that initial idea he and Roy shared and all by himself turned it into the ELO juggernaut which fans worldwide came to know and love in the band's halcyon days of the '70s and ever since.
Del Shannon was supposed to be in the band too, but died before it could happen
@@goatslunch6991. Agreed 100%.
@@steveyeager6177 Del Shannon was lined up to replace Roy, but sadly he passed away. A great loss to music.
Each member sang a part, even the deceased Roy Orbison, and you can see the rocking chair, rocking back and forth with a guitar in it, as a tribute to him.
Well, they all can sing pretty well, can"t they? It's always a pleasure to see how much Lex likes these songs!
Its like every line of the lyrics is a valuable life lesson. A song that could only be written by wise and world-weary sages who have truly done and seen it all. We will never see their likes in popular music again.
You guys are so fun to listen to. Brad you’re so low key, and Lex you’re a bundle of energetic joy. Thanks for reacting to one of my favorite songs❤️ God bless you guys
they even created an alternate identity as a family band, the Traveling Wilburys, with each member adopting an alias: Dylan was Lucky Wilbury, Harrison was Nelson Wilbury, Orbison was Lefty Wilbury, Lynne was Otis Wilbury, and Petty became Charlie T. Wilbury Jr. Jim Keltner, the session drummer and percussionist, was not officially listed as a Wilbury on either album, but was given the nickname "Buster Sidebury. Overdubs on the 2007 bonus tracks "Maxine" and "Like a Ship" were credited to "Ayrton Wilbury", a pseudonym for Dhani Harrison. The name Ayrton was used in honour of F1 driver Ayrton Senna. The lead guitar part on the Vol. 3 track "She's My Baby" was played by rock guitarist Gary Moore, who received the credit "Ken Wilbury".
Great info! Didn’t know the parts about Dhani and Gary Moore. Thanks
All of them are superstars. Even the guitar rocking in the chair.
The guitar represents Roy Orbison, who is a part of this song and their first album, but he died not very long before the video shoot
@@onlyasnowman no shit shirlock, im american
@@chrislucero1928 Mr Watson, I know you are born in GB. Don't try to fool me, I find out everything!
Superstars all around including Jim Keltner on drums and the picture and guitar in the rocking chair representing Roy Orbison.
When I read the title, I thought, "Lex is going to love the sound of this!" Lex's heart is as large as a rainbow, you know? Love the channel. Best first song from the Traveling Wilburies! Try, "Handle with Care," next.
Lex is amazing.. Amazing soul 💖🌟
Lex is dead on, age, wisdom, acceptance live everyday like it's your last.
Coz one day you'll be right...
Still need to fight for whats right
You gotta do more. They're big one is "Handle with Care." "Inside Out" is another catchy one.
I always love tweeter and the monkey man
We had already enjoyed all of them for many years and what a great eclectic collection of talent. They were ALL superstars.
Tom Petty is the junior member of this band! Let's list them in order of stature from the top of course! First is the fantastic George Harrison of The Beatles, need I say more? Next is the legendary Bob Dylan! Then the great Roy Orbison, who passed away just before this video was made. When his part in the song comes up they have a rocking chair with his guitar on it rocking to the music and then they pan to a picture of their long time friend! Then you have, from ELO, Jeff Lynne and then Tom Petty! Then, the drummer Jim Keltner who has been collaborating with the members of the Beatles since the late 60's. All are great artists of course and were good friends! Love to you two!
My favorite song of theirs. The rocking chair is in tribute to Roy Orbison who was a founding member and had just past away. The song was a tribute to him as well. Plus giving comfort to those who loved Roy.
This is one of my favorite bands...and I love heavy metal music, but the talent here can't be denied.
Roy's guitar is in the rocking chair. He recorded the song with the rest of the guys but died before the video could be made.It was their tribute to Roy.
Dudes in that band responsible for more hit songs than they could pull with that train they’re riding…
The Superest Super-Group Ever!
This is a band full of legends...you really should become acquainted with each of them.
The vocals are shared between the various "Wilburys". The one voice you heard but didn't see the singer was Roy Orbison. There is a rocking chair that has a guitar sitting in it, that is Roy's guitar (one of his anyway) and the camera shows a photo pf Roy as he begins his segment of the verse. Roy Oribson passed away befoe this video was filmed but you can see him in the video for "Hamdle WIth Care". Which you really, really need to hear now that you have been introduced to "the rambling wheelbarrows" (as Harrison was fond of saying).
And the name "Wilburys" is said to be a musicians joke--in the studio the technicians would say, if there was a small mistake, "We will bury that"
Guys, Part of this song is a tribute to Roy Orbison. He passed away before they finished and thus the rocking chair with the guitar, and photo. RIP Roy, one of the most versatile singer in Rock history.
Tom Petty, Jeff Lynn from ELO, George Harrison from the Beatles, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison - what a hell of a combination! Each bringing something different to the mix.
Just in case you didn't already know, the significance of the rocking chair with a guitar in it and the framed portrait is that Roy Orbison died between them recording the song and filming the music video, so that was their way of honouring him.
I believe Jeff Lynn was the main instigator behind the Wilburys, already being friends with the others, especially Petty, for whom he had produced albums such as Full Moon Fever.
Always hoped you'd do the Wilburys at some point - they were one of those supergroups that didn't take themselves, or life too seriously and always had a good message.
Such a special tribute to Roy Orbison, and about the most amazing group of guys to pull together ever.
This video was very much a tribute to their lost band mate, Roy Orbison, who had recently died. When you hear his voice they show his picture and the guitar seated in the empty rocking chair.
Tom Petty is absolutely a superstore. I love his voice too. Absolute "it" power. And yes, getting old is okay. I love listening to y'all. Great positive message. Love the channel.
Lex, when I see you smile and hear you laugh I immediately feel at ease and my blood pressure drops and I laugh. You are like medicine :)
Best power band ever! Never has there been a band with this much individual talent been put together. ogrther
A group of #1 artist jamming away and having fun.
If you’ll notice, Roy Orbison had already passed away by the time they recorded this video. When it comes time for his turn to sing they show the empty rocking chair and a picture of Roy Orbison to represent his part in the song
George of the Beatles , Tom Petty, Roy Orbisin ( R.I.P.)
Brad and Lex, every member of the Wilburys is a Superstar!
The Wilburys contained 4 of the greatest song writers to ever live (George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne). And then you add on one of the originators of rock music as well as one of the most iconic voices with Roy Orbison. The Wilbury's were primed to change the music landscape, but sadly Roy passed shortly after they released this album. When all 5 guys were interviewed before its release, Tom Petty said that the greatest part about this was seeing how his favorite writers write. And that he would get Roy's autograph every day.
Jim Keltner played drums for the Wilburys as "Buster Sidebury".
A true super group, all icons in their own right. Jeff Lynne is still rocking on and making a resurgence if anything, he's been touring with ELO the last few years after many years of focusing only on music production, and his voice is as good as ever. An incredibly humble guy, if you read any interview with him he always felt like the schoolkid who was invited to play with his musical heroes even though he more than earned his right to stand amongst them.
THIS WAS A TRIBUTE PIECE TO ROY ORBISON ... GOTTA CHECK OUT THEIR 1ST ALBUM!
Awesome group of musicians. Everyone of them a superstar in their own right. We will probably never see the like of them together again.
A band full of ledgens of rock. Great music from my childhood. Keep up the great work. Love the channel
Great song with famous people in the band. Tom petty, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Bob dylan, and Roy Orbison. He had died before this video was made but they put his photo up with the rocking chair as remembering him. Love this happy little tune. Handle with care for your next song by the traveling wilburys. have a good day brad and lex.
Thanks guys, I'm sure I told you in the past to do this one. George Harrison formed this band and he wrote his song. Another great must do video is another one he wrote "Handle With Care" which George sings lead and a big hit song just like this one. They were never really a band that toured or anything but just five friends who enjoyed getting together from time to time and jamming together. That was George Harrison who kicked off the singing here and then at the end. Jeff Lynn (in the shaded ) was from ELO and Dylan has the slightly wavy or curly hair. Brad, I heard you say that Petty was a true superstar which is true but with George Harrison and Bob Dylan we're talking a whole different level level of superstars. A Beatle and Dylan, wow ! The Beatles and Dylan were the two main driving forces, influencers and most important figures in music from the sixties. Harrison and Dylan had a long time relationship that dated back to 1964. Their friendship began in September, 1964 when The Beatles were on their first US tour and we're in NYC. Dylan wanted to meet them so he went to the Delmonico Hotel where they were staying and brought his good friend along with him named marijuana. This was the first time The Beatles got high and immediately became huge potheads. After this encounter with Dylan the music quickly went to a whole nother level. The drug was very beneficial for The Beatles. Petty could never quite grasp how he ended up in The Traveling Wiburys. He didn't think he belonged there. He was a very humble guy and humility is a great trait in a person now isn't it? ✌️☮️💕👌
Paul said he wrote "Got to Get You Into My Life" about pot after smoking it with Dylan, lol.
I think the rythm of this song is so evocative of a railroad. I can hear the "tick-a-tak, tick-a-tak, tick-a-tak, tick-a-tak" as the sound of rail car wheels rolling along the track.
The definitive super group and yes Brad to be chill is to be a Wilbury
Brad, all of them are/were superstars and didn't need more fame. They all respected each other and put their egos aside and made some really good music. Roy Orbison died between making the music track and making the video for it - which is the rocking chair with the guitar and the phone. RIP RO, TP, GH!
This was the ultimate “ SUPER GROUP “ in My opinion. You had a Beatle , Tom Petty , Roy Orbison , and a few other fellas that weren’t too shabby either.
Legendary Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne are just a few other fellas?! Lol
@@Gorgaveli and Jim Keltner on drums, who is ALSO a legendary drummer, that is WHY he is there playing in the video!
@@patticrichton1135 oh cool which band is he from?
you just have to recognize the greatness of these 5 singers
Beautiful song, takes ya to the end of the line. Thanks for your insights, stories you guys hear in the lyrics and music brings new light. Stories I’ve not thought of. You guys are great! Lex, you are the definition of happy. Your smile is infectious. Gets me to remind myself that happy is end of the line. Be grateful, be happy. Keep the insights coming!
George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynn (ELO), Jim Keltner (drums) & Roy Orbison, who died before the video but is represented by his guitar, rocking chair & photo on the table. Giants.
PLUS that is ROY'S VOICE singing the verse when they show the rocking chair with his guitar siting in it and a pic of him in a frame. He recorded it with them, but died before the video was made.
I don't think Brad & Lex have any idea how much this is rock royalty at its best. Right over their heads...
The Traveling Wilburys are the definition of the term ‘Super Group’.
Love this song, Geoff Lynn is a genius. George was my fave Beatle. RIP George, Tom, and Roy.
Lex always seems to have an intuitive grasp of the meaning of a song and presents in a way that both makes sensed and you'll remember. It is a pleasure to watch you both. This song is so bitter sweet as most of these musicians have now passed. I know you've done ELO's Mister Blue Sky (Jeff Lynne) and Bob Dylan's Like a Rolling Stone, but you may want to appreciate them some more before they too pass. You could do other ELO songs as there are plenty. For Bob Dylan, you might try Subterranean Homesick Blues or Tangled Up in Blue.
When five of the very BEST songwriters shared some time, FANTASTIC does happen
Great to point out the contrasts between the voices..... and the whole is more than the sum of its parts! What a cool super-band.... actually, the best.
I would love to have see festival paying tribute to all the legends in this band. As a gimmick, call it the Wilbury family reunion. So all artist perform under a Wilbury family alias
So much talent in this group. The good old days.
LOVE that they played for the joy of it. Each was a huge star but hanging with friends making music . Well it’s all right❤️
The most ‘super’ super group ever put together; and as Brad said, so casual!
talent that may never be recreated. so good.
5 superstars on their own - joined together, no ego, just wonderful music.
Lex, you're absolutely right there's nothing wrong with getting old. I'm 60yo now and I wouldn't trade my well earned wisdom I've accumulated over the years for a trip back to my gejune Salad Days
This is me and my dad's band. We always sing it to each other. Love The Traveling Wilburys
an entire group of superstars what couldn't be better included: Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. fantastic
Three of these SuperStars have since passed on....................Petty,Harrison and Orbison :( Peace & Love !
Brad and Lex, You've listened to each of them over the past year and didn't know them except Tom Petty? AaaH! This is one of those lightning in a bottle moments when five musical legends convened. "Handle Me with Care" next.
The guys had a great time together.and it comes across on every song. Just great rock n roll and story telling by great artists. The empty rocking chair was in honor of Roy, who had passed before they recorded this video. Thanks for sharing.
The lineup includes - A BEATLE -late George Harrison, From ELO - Jeff Lynn , late Tom Petty , Bob Dylan and the late Roy Orbison
You know what…you as a couple are a joy to behold. You are so appreciative and positive. It’s infectious and you make this seventy four year old man happy just watching you react. Thank you.
My husband and I married in 1977 and I loved it when we talked about music--he was a bass player and I just loved music and talking about it, and most people that I knew wouldn't spend the hours talking about it and listening to it that he would--and that reactors do! I wish Brad and Lex could have been our age temporarily to talk about and enjoy those hours! I wouldn't wish it on them to forever live their lives back in 1977, for a variety of reasons. The music was great, but believe it or not our country has changed for the better in a lot of ways since then! (Of course, there's a lot of crazy stuff now, that I hope was temporary and is almost over, that makes 1977 look peaceful in some ways, too...) I hope Brad and Lex won't ever stop enjoying music Together--we're still married 45 years later, but now he only wants to talk jazz and I enjoy jazz live, or when he's playing it, but only listen to rock on youtube or in concert.
Some incredibly talented people here. Explore them all. :)
I was pretty young when this came out. I think around 15. And I thought, thats kinda cool, a bunch of famous guys coming together to play some tunes. But now, as an older man, I know how rare it is for legends to come together like that to play together.
Brad and Lex. They are all literally superstars. Legends.
Brad and lex. I love your attitudes on this song. Be proud of what you got!! Doesn’t matter what other people think. Thanks for the reaction
Not the outside that matters it's the inside and how you treat others. God bless all of these guys and especially the ones who are no longer with us. RIP - Tom, Roy and George...love to Jeff (my most favorite band, ELO), Bob Dylan and the drummer, Jim Keltner.
Thank you both, this cheered up my whole day! It's impossible not to smile.
I remember that when this song came out! This was the age of the super group, when stars from different bands or solo careers would just break off and reform for an album or two. And this is one of the best ones! All individual superstars just jammin. They had a great sound!
Everyone in this Band was a superstar in another Band, or as a solo artist. The empty rocking chair is a tribute to the great Roy Orbison, who actually sings in this song, but died before the video was made. This Band sort of began as a joke by these guys, when they all ran into each other at a recording studio, with their other projects. This Band (Wilburys) only lasted a few years. unfortunately, most of them have since passed away.
No they actually didn't run into each other in a recording studio.. There is a 30 minute video on You Tube on how they got together. Someone else above posted the link for it.
Love this group so much talent in one Gathering, also great way to represent Roy Orbison with his guitar and the rocking chair
The song speaks to our own mortality, in that, as the song goes, “We’re going to The End of the Line”. We’re all heading that way, though some of us have a shorter ride than others. Enjoying ourselves, letting go of old grudges(“…Remember to live and let live, well, it’s alright. The best you can do is forgive.”), just flat-out enjoying ourselves while we still have time, and, living the life we want to live(“…If you live the life you please, well it’s alright…”).
I haven't heard this song in a long time. I'm going through a very emotional time right now and the lyrics of this song and seeing the rocking chair with the guitar in it for Roy really broadsided me and gave me a sucker punch to the feels. 😥
Well it's all right, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty and Roy Orbison all together in one place, well Roy is MIA, but he is singing in the background. And since you didn't react to the lyric, I'll just mention that "Purple Haze" was a big hit song for Mr. Jimi Hendrix. More history, more memories, more great music.
Bard & Lex, the Traveling Wilburys were an all-star band featuring George Harrison (Beatles), Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty (Heartbreakers), and Jeff Lynne (Electric Light Orchestra - aka ELO)
It's amazing the group of musicians you are watching. George Harrison (beatles), Tom petty, Jeff Lynn (elo), Bob Dylan & Roy Orbison who had passed away before the video was filmed. The rocking chair/guitar represented Roy. The talent! In the TP documentary Running Down A Dream they cover how the wilburies came together, really cool
One of the members of this super band (made up of the leads of super famous bands) passed away before this album was released. Roy Orbison, very famous in the late fifties to the early seventies, had been retired for many years before these old guys pulled him out of retirement and brought a little joy back into his life. They cut the album together, but unfortunately, Roy passed away before it was released. In this video, you will see Roy's picture (at 1:53) above the rocking chair that rocks by itself, as though Roy was there with them. The members of this band are George Harrison of the Beatles, Tom Petty of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bob Dylan of 70 years of Bob Dylan fame, and Jeff Lyne of the Electric Light Orchestra. Purple Haze is a reference to Jimi Hendrix. They had all been friends for decades, and George said "we're not doing anything, let's get together and put out an album" The tempo of the song doesn't change at all. But the singers are relaxed, they are singing in a relaxed manner. Isn't that what the song is about? Lex, you are exactly right. They are old, Roy is gone but still with them. They are all approaching the end of life, but it's all right. And in fact, George Harrison died of lung cancer, and Tom Petty accidentally overdosed on pain meds prescribed for a hip fracture. There are many good Jeff Lyne and the Electric light Orchestra songs, you should check them out. And of course, if you are not yet familiar with Bob Dylan's work, I hope you will get aquainted.
Fantastic band of legends!!!
2 incredible albums, I wish there were more!!!👍👌✌️😁

The audio recording in the studio was all done before they started filming for the video. In between the audio recording and starting filming is when Roy Orbison passed. They honored him by using the full audio, and for his solo part the train passed through a tunnel, making it dark. And they had his guitar on the seat rocking in time to the music, and a tribute picture on the table.
The video was perfectly adapted to accommodate the imperfect passing of such an icon as Orbison.
i got stoked when I saw this! You guys did not disappoint!
It's so good...yall are great...love that you love thus and get the message!
Handle with Care was the first video and song released from this album. Sadly Roy Orbison passed away before they could shoot the second video. So they have his guitar in the rocking chair and his picture on the stand next to it. Fantastic tribute if you ask me.
