Yeah, J, Roy Orbison passed away just before this was filmed. If you remember from the previous video reaction, he’s the man with the dark glasses and dark hair. You probably know his voice because he’d been around since the late 50s. He is mostly known for the song O’ Pretty Woman. But he’s has so many more huge hits. Unfortunately this band lost two other members. George Harrison, whom you recalled from being in The Beatles, and most recently Tom Petty of The Heartbreakers. Too much great talent gone there, man.

A friend messaged me with the news, and I spent a couple of hours online trying to debunk the "rumor", but everything I found just made the news more solid!! First time in a long time I just had to walk away, find a private place, and have a little cry!! He was one of the people I respected most in this world. I still listen to his music daily, play his songs on my guitar, go back watching old interviews. He will be missed for a long long time!!

My dad loved Roy too. Of course I knew of him, but I didn't appreciate him just before he died. I played the song 'Not Alone Anymore' to death on the old school jukebox. First thing when I got to my after work beer joint, play that song, Nelson was there. I'm going to listen to it now, Roy hits those notes perfect. Cool your dad and grandpa caught the same bus to heaven that Roy did. Not really, but maybe you know what I mean. I think we get to hang with our heroes and loved ones when we pass. I want to meet Leonardo da Vinci, and the guitarist Fernando Sor. And be with my son again, I miss him a great deal. He's hanging with my parents, and Roy too, if my dad's hosting the barbecues. Long live Bob Dylan, USA! Saw him in NYC with daughter last December. Bob's getting old, but he's still great.

Yes, I heard about him turning 79. Somehow I didn't know he was that old, even though I've been listening to him for over 50 years.
I took my 30 year old daughter to see him at the Beacon on Dec 3rd. To me it was half pilgrimage of sorts. I wanted to make sure she could tell her grandchildren that she saw Bob. She's a fan, not like me though, Bob is my numero uno. And Bob was great. There was a part in the concert that gripped me good, body moving, it was a little Grateful Dead like. I got naturally high, oh yeah, and there was a bar and I did 2 shots of Jameson while my daughter wasn't looking, I caught a nice glow. I can't smoke that pod stuff anymore, but it probably would have been cool. My dad got to see Roy, at the Lone Star Cafe on 13th street. And check this out, my dad also saw Roy Buchanan there, on my advice.

It was a nice concert. Cheap seats, $125 apiece, but good view. I listened to Bob since a kid but I didn't get him the 1980's. When I got him it hit hard. I can't really describe what 'get' him is, but something happened and it was great. He's a rare type of person. He ain't regular. I think God speaks through him sometimes.

Yes, Neil Young. I was telling my daughter we have to see him. I never saw him. I always liked him, but recently mostly from CZcams he grew on me big time. He's right behind Bob. And another guy who's great is Tom Waits. I say Bob, Tom and Neil in that order. If you don't Tom well I recommend his album 'Rain Dogs'. I left that tape in my car stereo for six weeks, it played over and over. Did that with some Bob too, 'Street Legal' and 'Slow Train', left the tape in the stereo. Masterpieces.
