Toss A Coin! Here's my FULL The Witcher Season 2 Netflix video with Easter Eggs, Post Credit Scene and lots of surprises. Post all your predictions in the comments! Here's my Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness Trailer video too! czcams.com/video/rG7e6vgf2No/video.html
A WAW AWESOME VIDEO
Do you think they'd try to adapt the game? It's got so many endings so it'd be interesting to see where Netflix goes, or if they'd even get there considering the book series is fairly long.
I feel kind of lucky, as somebody who's never read the books, or played the video games, I feel like someone who is going into this with a completely fresh mind. If something deviates from the original material, I won't be able to notice until somebody flat-out tells me, and by then, I'll have already decided for myself whether I like the series or not. So far, I do. And to me personally, that's all that I care about.
Until Warner gets over themselves, and allows Henry Cavill to be Superman again, this is my number one source for more Henry Cavill. And so far, I like what he brings us, as Gerhalt of Rivia. I also like the supporting cast, for the most part. They all do really good work. And I like that Ciri is frequently a victim, but not annoyingly so. That's a very hard, fine-line to tiptoe across, and thus far, The writers in charge of this show seem to be doing it well.
Can you do Amazons Wheel of Time?
Was Ciri's mother was also powerful?
I kinda expected Ciri's father to play a big part because I noticed as Ciri was snapping out of her dream sequence and her Mother/Father was asking her to stay, her father did not fade away in the background. Everyone else who faded away was already dead so I took that as him being alive and having a bigger part to play.
I noticed that too. I noticed he wasn’t fading away during that scene
Ohhh nice, I assumed he was just gonna fade later like the wife then him 😁
Dude I thought that was weird as well! Like clearly the mom and whole scene even...are fading away and he is just there
Don't know how I feel about this reveal. Book readers didn't know until the very last book that he was her father and it made the emperor more menacing throughout the book because you didn't know who he was. I guess in their mind the games spoiled it so they could reveal it sooner
Oh man that’s a good catch
I really hope we don't have to wait 2 years for season 3. Love this show
Let’s all pray to Yen that we don’t have to wait that long
Damn Eskel
I think they plan 1 1/2 year
Probably one year, right? Filming was stopped twice due to COVID-19, so this time it shouldn't be postponed anymore
It made me read the whole 7 book series and I usually never read. It's simply howsome
The books and Games let me know it was Ciris father. But since I already knew, the suspense they built is actually really well done.
Yeah... Lord Farquaad 🤣
@@rebecarosado3319 😂
i knew it from the games but while watching the series completely forgot. I was so shocked... until i realized that i knew already..
I for some reason was acting slow and forgot that he was ciri's father and I thought he was another family relative so I felt stupid finding out again.
@@cosmickeyboard9811 the gay uncle?
Stumbled upon this video. Absolutely blows open the Witcher Lore for someone who has never read the books or played the games. Glad I found it, the show was absolutely confusing me to all hell and back.
It's also really cool knowing the scale of the Witcher series goes beyond their world. Had no idea.
You should you definitely play the Witcher 3 at least
not having read the books or played the game, I was wondering who the hunt was and what their purpose was. I will say I was much more engaged with the second season than the first, it seemed to flow much more easily. Thanks for the explanations Charlie!
The show is not the Witcher. There are some elements from the books/show, but only about 5% of the plot is adapted from the books or games. The rest is just made up by the writers. If you don't know they story already, I'm sure you will enjoy the show more. I don't have high hopes though. They have already completely ruined several character arcs and thus their motivations, which I don't think they can recover from in an organic way if they want to tell any part of the main story.
There were a lot more timeline jumps in the first season and, at least for me, it took me a bit to figure that out. I didn't read the books o and I haven't played the game, so that may be part of it. I've enjoyed the series. The biggest plot hole for me was them only taking one vial of Ciri's blood. Like really? Just seemed odd.
Yeah I sort of thought they were similar to the White Walkers at first
Season 2 is way better than season 1. The characters actually have purpose which makes the plot so much more enjoyable. Season one, everyone is kind of just drifting through life selfishly... which is how it's supposed to be, to be fair. The end of season 2 is where things really kick off and set up season 3 to be amazing!
@@manbearcannon1250 Amazing Fanfiction... >.>
Got a little worried, Charlie, because your review came out later than others. As usual, your breakdowns are the Last Word that I need to hear from to understand the Content properly (whether it's the MCU, DCEU, Witcher, etc.) = You're the Best, Charlie; thanks...hope you & yours are safe and well this Holiday Season!

I think because of Spider-Man since it’s more popular

Little Easter egg in the finale when Ciri’s in the illusion, while her dead mother begins to fade away Emyhr doesn’t (I’m assuming this was to reference the fact that he’s still alive)
That's called foreshadowing..
Thank you! This has been helpful. As a fan of the Netflix series, and without having read the books or played the games, this really helps flesh out the story. And oh God, thank you for letting me know that the source material has been finished and that we won't get caught in another GoT type fiasco. Still salty that GRRM dropped the ball on finishing the source material.
GRRM also wrote ice and fire after witcher; so its we know who he took all his ideas from.
So much better than season 1 season 3 live action is going to be absolutely amazing
I was actually impressed w season 2! And that doesn't happen usually! I really really loved the Geralt-Ciri arc, didn't know I needed a wholesome father-daughter story but here we are :)) I watched this whole series without playing the game or reading the books but I'm telling you, now I need to play the game at least cause I'm hooked :))))) I really loved that it reminded me of the GOT world/scenography/clothes so cheers to that!
You should play the witcher 3 one of the best games of all time, in my opinion it's up there with Zelda Ocarina of Time, every gamer should have these games in their library
Same, I think it helped that the left out the singing guy. Personally he was annoying, but it really helped the tone of the second season without him in almost the whole season.
@@Food4thought1234 He's supposed to be somewhat annoying. Pretty much the whole point of his character.
Probably you'll gonna have a different experience in the game. They changed 90% of the plot from the original story this season, not really a fan of what's happening but I am hoping they can redeem themselves next season.
read the books and you ll get a much better experiance, especially concerning the wholesome father-daughter storyline...
I don't mind them mucking around with the timelines because they have the chance to make things a lot more coherent - I just like that they are including as much from the books and as true to form as they can be while doing so - makes for an enhanced Witcher experience. I toss a coin to them.
Except nothing in season 2, besides episode 1, is anything like the books. Like nothing.
@@davidm2031 I am enjoying it... don't shatter my dreams!
@@hariseldon3786 well you can, i dont think davids comment tried to destroy that. but he has a point, the series goes far beyond of doing there own thing. i know that you cant implement the books 1 to 1, but this isnt a good adaptation imo. too many major (mostly unnecassary) changes to plots and interactions between the characters makes it impossible for me to enjoy...
Aren’t you bothered by the writing in the show. It’s so bad. The show is nothing like the witcher true fans know
@@maxmustermann369 Right. For someone new to the universe it might be a good show. But it can't be called an adaptation. I was absolutely disappointed :(
I loved that they shown the wolf medalion from the games hanging on the tree.
Back to the multiverse for a moment.
I have red the story in the original, when the saga was still new, so I cannot say what was lost in the translation.
Anyway, Ciri travels in time and space to different interesting places in the books.
She sparks the war between Kingdom of Poland and the Teutonic Order by appearing and disappearing in front of the knights of the Order who say "we need to conquer this pagans". She also visited another, well known universe - she can see the huge, epic battle in front of her, so she assumed that it is the battle of Brenna (which was largest in the history of the Continent). However, just before she jumps to different time and space she hears soldiers shouting "eagles are coming, the eagles are here" (which indicates the battle at the black gate) .
I am going to assume that Tolkien's foundation has made everything they can to not allow such references in the show.
It could of also indicated Polands legendary cavalry unit the Winged Hussar who were known to wear eagle wings and helmets.
Also in the game she said she lived in a world where people had metal in their heads, fought from afar with big screens like portals and everyone had their own flying ship. Reminded me of Star Trek and the Borg.

First of all this was a lot to take in! Second thank you so much for breaking things down the way that you did. It was so helpful and so well done that it made things a lot clearer for me. I appreciate the way it was done and this is the first video from you that I've seen but because of this awesome break down, I will be subbing you. Thanks again 😁
Glad it was helpful!
@@emergencyawesome It really was! I knew bits and pieces but knowing how those pieces fit was the key..lol I hate feeling lost when I love a show this much so thanks again 😁 I was all into it.
Omg, imagine riding horses for thousands of years just to chase a prophecy. Expect mad elves for sure.
Charlie always with the super detailed breakdowns. Great job.
If anybody knows would like to understand why when Ciri transported them all to the planet that the Wild Hunt were occupying, Voleth Meir flew over to a horse and turned into one of the riders. Charlie just said that she's this shows version of "Baba Yaga".
So pretty sure they inferred that returning voleth meir to her original plane/sphere/world would eliminate the need of a vessel meaning that she could take a physical form on that plane. Why she chose to join the hunt fits in with the fact that she's a demon that feeds on pain, so what better way to inflict pain then by joining the wild hunt.
I would also like to understand this!
I've also seeked an answer on this particular matter and the explanation I've found on several sites is that Voleth Meir basically always been a part of the "wild hunt" but she got stuck in the world where Ciri & Geralt lives in. Probably due to the conjunction. She is of elder blood and that is also she has strong magical powers. Witchers then captured Voleth Meir's soul (as she can be seen as a monster & witchers hunt monsters) in a hut to keep her away from people. She feeds off of pain which explains her rampage when she is in Ciri's body, but her main goal was always to go back to "her" world, that is back to the world with the wild hunt. This would also explain her killing of the sleeping Witchers, as they were the ones capturing her "soul" in the hut...something like this.
I cant guarantee you that this is 100% the explanation, but just something I've read on multiple sources, from hard-core Witcher redditors to articles about the tv show. Atleast i found it interesting. Although this would explain some bits, it does not really explain why she is a soul that needed a vessel.
@@dd14310410 Thanks! That definitely makes sense.

Season 2 of The Witcher made me realize I don't really like bingeing shows anymore. I watched the whole thing in 2 days and I don't know if I could tell you 5 things that happened. I think the Disney+ shows have got me used to one a week, with time to chew on each episode, watch reviews/reactions and think about what's going to happen next. I already know I'm gonna have to re-watch all of season 2 again before season 3 comes out, because I won't remember a thing.
Not to mention how long you have to wait for the next season 😭
That's why I took my time and watched a couple episodes a night. I hate watching everything in one sitting.
Just use self control. Disney plus model MAKES you wait a week. I watched no more than 1 episode at a time of the Witcher season 2 and trust me when I tell you that I will still have to watch recaps to understand before season 3.
I really enjoy the show but the writing is very convoluted and all over the place. Like a less coherent game of thrones(minus that last season). I hope season 3 has a more focused story that I don't have to read articles to think "OK, Now i remember".
@@bryanstasko Self control really isn't my thing. lol. Yes, I felt several times this season that the story was telling me things it believed I should already know. Leaving me saying "Wait. What?" several times.

Michelle Yeoh is everywhere now. She out here still killing it. Been a long time since Supercop 2
I was not too happy about some of the changes from the books, but great season overall. Much better than season 1 in my opinion:)
Agreed. Much more linear. Doesn't jump around the timeline as jarringly as Season One does. Season One was so out of focus, that I had to watch it several times just to get everything in order, in my brain. Season Two spares me from having to do that (though I'll probably watch again and again, anyway, lol).
Are you serious? That season was utter trash
Not a book reader or game player, I might be in minority group that loved, loved season 1 but season 2 just didn't do much for me. It virtually didn't had any story, felt more like a filler or setup for season 3.
I love ss1 more because the plot move with short stories, which was the things I love about the witcher. Ss2 I feel more like a inspiration of the witcher book.

Lauren Schmidt-Hissrich said, (in a feature that just dropped a few minutes ago on CZcams, about The Wild Hunt,) that alot of the backstory will be presented in the upcoming "Blood Origin," prequel series, and then the rest of the Blood of Elves and Time of Contempt will "blow up in season three of The Witcher."

Before the dwarfs helped Geralt to save Cirila, the writers had already prepared an easy exit for the dwarts. It's assumed that they went back to carry out their duty to some high paying customer as a courier team.

Now that we've pretty much seen a trailer to the Blood Origin series - what about Jason Mamoa?
He wasn't in the trailer. Will he be in the show? I haven't heard about him/if he is actually going to be in the show for a while. I still hope he will ;D
This video answered A LOT of questions for me. Thank you very much Charlie, great work.
The white frost in the witcher books actually isn't such a mythical thing. It's basically the planet tilting over time and thus creating a new ice age which will result in crops and animals dying, therefore humans, elves etc. starving and also dying out.
The elder blood is not meant to stop that, thats probably impossible, but to open a gate between the worlds so the Aen Elle can save the Aen Seidhe from certain death.
but don't Aen Elle despise the Aen Seidhe? why would they want to save them ?
@@yacine.3_2023 I don't recall the Aen Elle despising the Aen Seidhe from the books. The only reason they could have for disliking them could be that the Aen Elle blame them for what happened with Lara Dorren. Other than that there is no reason for them hating eachother since there wasn't a ton of contact after the two races seperated.
But maybe I forgot something here.
@@EinhornBoy-qg9pm No, you're perfetly right, it's more likely the opposite and I think at some point it's suggested that Aen Elle would want to rescue Aen Seidhe from both the Ice Age and humans. .Full on rescue, not enslavemntThey would also save the humans, but probably to a much worse faith than the Aen Seidhe, as in slavery would be the best thing to hope for, unfortunately. But who knows, they didn't get the Elder Blood back, as far as the story goes.
At this point there is really no point in connecting two versions of the universe, as the show is it's own thing, very different from books in terms of how it does characterisations and ho it develops it's themes, which also heavily differ from the books.
@@calinissetehtarello4126 Thanks for confirming. I wasn't sure if Avallac'h or Auberon (I'm not sure anymore who told Ciri) was honest about their intentions. But I interpreted as they were going to save the Aen Seidhe but they lied about saving the Humans. I don't think they mentioned other races like dwarves.
@@EinhornBoy-qg9pm Oh, it's really unknown if they lied to Ciri or not, but we will never know. What seemed logical to me is that they wouldn't invade the witcherworld, as it would make no sense. Why go to war when they have a world shaped perfectly to their needs. The Wild Hunt was never shown on the books as a slave hunting units, so there is that.
And somewhere in the Lady of the Lake it's confirmed that the elves left and humans stayed behind. And in Polish fandom I've heard two interpretation: either the elves be it Aen Elle or Aen Seidhe managed to open the Gate truly. Or the humans succeeded in killing all elves in the end and talk of elves leaving is simply a convenient narration spread for political and PR reasons. :P
That's the beauty of it. We don't know how it all ends, as we follow Geralt not the world as such.
Can't wait for season 3 I want more of Jaskier's catchy songs!

Love the show and your explanations. It seems this show end just as I get the most into it!!
I'm a little bit worried with the early introduction of the Wild Hunt in the series. I really enjoy the more ground grounded politics and human f*ckery aspects of this universe, and I'm worried that they'll steer away from that to focus on the more nefarious Wild Hunt storyline down the line.
The war between Nilfgard and the Northern Kingdoms, the human and non-human sufferings, and how Geralt gets entangled in all of this is just much more interesting to me.
I think they wanna separate themselves from seeming too much like GoT.
I think it was fairly balance with politics n action. 10/10 series !!
I think the writers did a bad job with the human politics aspect..
They mention the wild hunt in the first books several times, so it's natural that we see them this early. I don't think a true plot with them will play out until much later.
It seemed a little soon to me as well. That and also that this season is very Ciri centric and not enough Geralt would be my only major complaints.
Well the series is a good decade or so before the Wild Hunt when Ciri is in her 20s. So plenty of time for other stuff first.
I held out on all the other videos until this dropped and I was not disappointed. Solid video as always
Question:
The potion that was created to make more Witchers, that the mage took, what happened to the ladies face? Why did she become so disfigured when she drank it?
Her name is Lydia van Bredevoort and in the books she is the personal assistant of Vilgefortz. Her face is desfigured (missing the jaw, teeth) from a magic experiment conducted by Vilgefortz, and her pretty face is just an illusion. In the books, only when she dies the illusion dissapears, but here i guess they changed that a bit. Also, in the books nobody takes blood from Ciri and definitely not Vesemir trying to "make more witchers". But it is what it is, some changes were good, some were very bad.

You are certainly living up to the Awesome in your name... great post again... Thank you ... Merry Christmas.
The thing I found most odd is how Yennefer lost her magic and then latter got it back. Either she over taxed her powers but it would normally heal back OR she had it suppressed by the witch to trick her into a magic pact.
I favor the latter since when the witch's essence left the world to go her original world the spell was broken. Of course we learn the witch was just a cover and was actually a member of the wild hunt.
IMO it had to do with her using forbidden fire magic because her powers were gone imediately after. The witch used her fear and desperation against her to control her and gain power like she did with the other mages. I believe Yen got her magic back from not letting the witch take over her and conquering her fears, then the sacrifice she made for Ciri.
Thank you for the clarity. I must be the only one that enjoyed the first season more. Each episode was its own story. Geralt spoke less (hmmm...f---) and there was more humor. Season 2 was an information dump void of humor and a constant grind how special Ciri is.
You're not the only one. I thought Season 1 was better, much for the reasons you state. Season 2 was a mess, at least for those of us who've read the books and played the games. If you haven't read the books then you may like Season 2 more. I don't like the casting choices for Yennefer and Triss (the game versions were better, haha). But it's worth sticking with it in upcoming seasons.
@@stephenweiss6001 absolutely agree with the casting choices, nothing against the actors as I think they are good, just not in keeping with the original characters described in the book and games there after.
You're not the only one :) I preferred season 1. It wasn't perfect either but at least the changes to the books were things we didn't know yet (Yennefer's backstory). I found that quite interesting. Except for episode 1, nothing is right in Season 2. It's a huge mess, characters behave completely differently and core elements of the story have been thrown overboard. Somehow the Witcher feeling just didn't come up for me. In my opinion, the games did a much better job of living up to the books. They even surpass them in my opinion.
But tastes differ, as we all know, and many people seem to like the series :)
Thanks for this video. Once again very informative but easy to understand.
I'm glad you're doing this so we can check it out from a different point of view because some other people just will not will not be happy with anything if it's not exactly the way they think the books are or the games for that matter I love the games anyway I'm glad you're doing a breakdown thank you
Wait…. Is it Multiverse? There aren’t “alternative” versions of the characters in the other worlds?! Isnt it just multiple worlds (spheres)
Its more like the Magic The Gathering concept (which was derived from D&D Spelljammer), different dimensions are different planets or solar systems they arent mirror universes however each of these planets may have their own higher and lower planes like heaven and hell.
Yeah, as far as I'm concerned there is only 1 universe in the witcher series 😂
I like how they jump around in the timeline. Fitting in the most dense story and plot points. Maybe they're trying to avoid a GoT situation where they needed at least 9 seasons but the show runners only wanted to do 7.
Yup... good planning especially considering the calibre of the stars in the serious roles.
THANK YOU for explaining the conjunction. I've seen so many videos and none of them explain this.
You bet!
My first video I watched of yours. Loved it. Really thorough and insightful.
Just finished it yesterday... What a journey! 😘 Season 3 when?
2 years probably. Hope not though lol
Season 3 is literally in production now
"Wait the witcher is a sci-fi?"
"Always has been."
Feels like I’ve been waiting forever for your take on S2 buddy!
Thank you for the review it helped a lot. One thing I always thought was funny but I haven't heard anyone bring up was the difference in age of Ciri's parents. When her father got cursed I assume he was a young man, because he did save Ciri's grandfather and his wife was not even born yet.
I'm was never worried at all about The Witcher not getting renewed. Both seasons were incredibly good, in my opinion season 2 was even better than 1, and it's an incredibly popular show. I'm assuming that if they have problems adapting the books it'll be because they'll run out of material and not that they'll have to condense a bunch of material into a short amount of time because the show gets canceled or something. I'm pretty sure this show is going to be around for at least 6 seasons and is going to only become more and more popular as it goes on like Game of Thrones. Unlike Game of Thrones, I believe the quality is only going to go up as the show continues. So maybe a better comparison would be Breaking Bad. Viewership and quality will continue to go up as the series goes on.
As long as two dudes named "Dan and Dave" don't get involved, I'm relatively certain this series won't collapse into utter ruin, like "GOT" did, either.
Agreed. I believe it'll get several spin offs as well similar to what's about to happen with GOT. And the show runner said she wants to try for 7 seasons at least.
That's incredibly ambitious and foolish to plan that far ahead. These networks cancels show with a click of a finger these days when they're start lagging. We don't know if this show will continue for that long.
@@gunnyo50 it's popular so they won't cancel it. It's their game of thrones
@@gunnyo50 I'm on my 2nd watch of season 2 and watched season 1 4 times lol This will go 7 seasons aslong as there is enough material . Netflix won't cancel it .
I loved Ciri’s arc in this season!
You mean the completely created arc that doesn't make sens for his character that Lauren created? Stop simping.
Emergency Awesome I have just started reading the books, really enjoying them, (the holidays put me behind on my reading) thanks so much Charlie, you are always appreciated!
I needed this thanks my man
The only thing I didn't like about Season 2 was the way they showed how Ciri is suddenly so good at everything and is so motivated to get her kingdom back. They had never truly showed this before.
Also (even though this is from Season 1) why Geralt and Tissea are so into Yennefer, when she's so full of herself
Geralt loves a naggy lady
Maybe because most woman that fall for geralt will get close to him and try anything they can to suck his d but Yen is different. She’s hard to get, Geralt often has to do the chasing. I guess he likes the challenge. But i mean she is a beautiful woman in the og story(the books), anyone would be into her. But Tissea i think she thinks of herself a master or guardian to Yen. Since she was the one that taught her the skills to become a sorceress and “fixed” her back problems.
Ciri spends months training at Kear Morhen, she doesn't "suddenly" get good.
@@mievaselli7910 Months as in 2 episodes
@@mievaselli7910 lol, recall how she learns magic... let me remind how it works:
1. Ciri knows nothing about magic.
2. Geralt or Yennefer say - Ciri you can do it, I believe in you.
3. Ciri tries magic with success
it's a parody of this story, no character building, no relationship building, and no world building at all, characters move easily between kingdoms or they move through the portal, where horses are waiting for them, lol comedy
thanks for covering this too
"they want to get through all the books so if you are worried about that don't be"....that's exactly why I'm worried....
I swear when we saw the forest witch, I totally thought it was going to be the three witch sisters from Witcher 3.
from the bog?
@@jonsnowrules3435 Lol. Duh.
like what other 3 witches would we be talking about here???
You couldn't have uploaded this video at a better time, I literally only finished season 2 today ❤️
Nigga!!
Me 2
Finally I've been waiting for this for ages. Thank you.
Great video. Awesome info. Thanks for sharing this. You know...
Being an older guy, some of this stuff sort, kinda reminds me of the movie Willow.
Vilgefortz is also WAY more powerful in the books than the series. I'll say this...the books can be meandering and as they stand, they would in no way work for TV.
Too much entertainment related stuff happening this month....thank you for keeping up with everything 😊
No problem!
Yeah, December has been a good month. Hope this trend in entertainment continues, because we have gone WAY TOO LONG getting utter crap thrown in our faces, by now.
I've only played a bit of Witcher 3 because my cousin got me into the games like a year ago when he bought me the game back in 2019. Before season 3 we gonna get Origin blood, probably because the elves were a focus for this season(obviously) and want to let the people who don't play the games or read the books who the Elves are, so season 3 won't be confusing af for those who just watch the shows.
Been waiting for you too drop some Witcher content this is a 10/10
This is one of the best series, that has come along! I’m loving the story time line and development so far!
This is sad :)
@@Tsejjest 😂🤣
are you fucking serious? the best? prolly american. you know how europe and ppl who know witcher lore see this series? like got 8th season
@@ImotekhtheStormlord-tx2it well that's their opinion bud
@@ImotekhtheStormlord-tx2it you get what you get and you don't get upset
The Witcher season 2 is a well written action packed thrill ride, relatable emotional drama scenes, and lore dump. Its does help reading the novels. The Wild Hunt is coming in season 3. 😊👑⚒⚔🥳😎🍻
If you read the books, you'd wonder if they're related to the show. Most of the character's motivations, personality and behaviour, together with 80% of the sequence of events have been rewritten drastically. It's not a faithful adaptation in any way. That said, this show seems to be popular with a lot of people, so kudos to the showwriters that clearly know what appeals to the general audience. Read the books, it's a different story altogether
well written for simpletons like yourself for sure.
@@leongt9699 100% agree not always does books get good show or movie adaptations.
@@leongt9699 The only mini series adaptation that is very similar to the book would be James Cameron's Shogun. Highly recommend checking out.
@@leongt9699 i disagree. this show was made as an "adaptation" and anyone who read the books should dislike it. 63% rotten tomato audience score says it all. such a waste (i was so hyped), why do those producers think they can write a better story than a top selling novel author goes beyond me...
There is also the Netflix added Monoliths that do not appear in the book (they appear in the game but have a far less important role) and are supposed to contain answers about the first conjunction of the spheres. Kinda new twist and could actually be more interesting this way imo.
omg thank you for covering this dude
🤯 Dude, mind blown! Love this show and love your videos.
Glad to hear it!
tbh i didn't think that witcher season 2 was great but hoping they improved in the next season
I wouldn't be sure about that. We already saw all fractions. Here Lauren put her ideas for a half of the season, not 1/3 or less... a half. THere will be more now, unfortunately.
Maybe they showed Nivellen story as an explanation that curses happen if you do nasty stuff, sorta as a hint to why Ciri’s father (who we saw as the nice poor guy) was cursed to begin with. Haven’t read the books yet, its just a thought 🤔
I was hoping for a few videos on season two. Episode one was my favorite of the season. Makes me want to replay the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt again.
Interesting thing I did notice in season 2 which I thought was a bit strange was that when Siri was in the ballroom with her parents and they were asking her to go with them, then she hears Geraldts voice calling her back. If you watch closely as Siri makes the decision to go back to Geraldt , her mother starts to dissipate into the air, but if you watch her dad at the same time, he doesn’t disperse like the mum. He stays solid. I found this interesting 🧐 until I realised later in the series he’s actually alive. Maybe that’s why he stays solid in that scene!!!!
I've read all the books, two or three times, and I loved some of thier modifications in the show. Using different people of color in the different races is cool, and doesn't change the story at all, especially with the conjunction of spheres, people came from all over. Some weirdness in season two, but not terrible.
Hey @Mark Kringle. I haven't read the books, so sometimes I get lost in the story, which is fine. I just wanted to know the part where Triss took Ciri to a vision where she was saying "It was not supposed to be like this" (and later found a lady with her child). When they came back to reality, how did Triss realize then that Ciri would destroy everything?
Doesn't happen in the book. Tris shows up at witcher castle, and takes charge of the "young woman's issue" (Ciri has started her period because the witcher potions have excellerated her growth) and Ciri starts prophesying.
Does it really matter anyways since it's an illusion?!
@@princezuko7073 I’m pretty sure something in the vision basically showed like how the world could be destroyed via the “extinction event” called the white frost
I think making Fringilla black and not the same as Yen hurts the story..Geralt even calls her Yen at times because they are supposed to look similiar.
Thanks for being one of the first people to remind that one of Ciri's given names is Riannon, linking back to her Elder ancestor
I've been waiting for this breakdown!!
