Fellow sewers - if you are waiting to try this bag, don't wait any longer. I made one today, and after the time consuming measuring & cutting (wish I could just twitch my nose like Samantha) the contruction was so quick and easy! I made it with some mid-weight canvas but still used fusible fleece - this one is for a work colleague's daughter. Also took a short cut and used cotton webbing for the handles and for the closure. Mine next! Thanks again Gina - fab, fab, fab.

Inside ("Lining")-

I think the strap/handles require 4 pieces of fabric and 2 of fusible fleece. Please delete if I am wrong.

Excellent! 3 of us are going to spend an afternoon and each make our own version of this bag. Love the musical fabrics!
Ended up having just 2 of us make the bag today. Turned out amazing! My bag was the same size as you made..... in all kinds of green patterns.... great for spring. My friend used bolder fabrics and it was 3" taller ( a mistake that turned into a great bag... she's a knitter and it fits knitting needles very well) . We accidentally did the top stitching on the pocket before attaching it to the bag... so we used a second line of stitching and it made a great detail on the pocket. I put gold metal heart shaped buttons on the pocket. A great project and it took us about 5 hours.... next time it will be quicker. Thanks for a great pattern.
