    Very informative. You took less than 40 mins to do a bonnet, I saw two guys take almost a full day to do it. It’s about having the correct tools, knowing how to use them and knowing how to apply vinyl wrap. Thank you for this. I’ll be watching the other parts to complete the car

    I'm hating you so much right now because you make this look so easy.
    This series of videos inspired me to wrap my own mothers car. While I do detailing for clients I have never used vinyl.
    I ordered Brushed Navy Blue and already made a mess of the trunk. After 5 hours (until 2am) I tore it off and went to bed.
    How in the world do you get all the small bubbles out? I go up up up and it still sits there laughing at me.
    I tried to replicate your exact technique but must have failed
    You do amazing

    • @rebekahcodlinart
      @rebekahcodlinart Před 7 lety +3

      Keith Smith I saw an amazing video by this guy who wraps similarly to this guy but a much easier technique. he uses the triangle method. lay it all out, then grab parts of the vinyl either side of a corner and pull outward as if making a triangle with the tension, keep doing this for each of the corners until you achieve glass, then go over with a squeegee. ...try looking up 'the triangle method, vinyl wrapping' and hopefully u will find it!

    • @krsiv4
      @krsiv4 Před 7 lety

      Bek C , I'll research that in more depth.
      I'm off to a shop today that does wrapping and I'm going to offer to pay them to teach me how to finish the car. I only got the hood and 1 mirror completed this far.
      p.s. the Vvivid Brushed Navy is an incredible wrap

    • @rebekahcodlinart
      @rebekahcodlinart Před 7 lety

      Awesome good on you...actually if you look up 'cold pre stretch and triangles vinyl wrapping' it'll come up, he's doing a demo on a blue car at some wrapping event. Wow navy brushed metal looks amazing, that is my dream wrap!!

    • @krsiv4
      @krsiv4 Před 7 lety

      Bek C ,
      Right now it's priced as an overstocked item through Vvivid.
      I actually watched that video earlier.
      Be careful with the brushed wraps. I found that because the patterns needs to be precise it really makes executing the wrap more difficult. e.x. Because the roll is 5' wide and my hood is 5' 2" I was forced to use multiple pieces. In order to make it look "natural" I laid one main sheet on the raised main area of the hood and then two additional pieces on the recessed areas rotated the alternate direction and cut with knifeless tape.
      I saw the video in your Playlist on squeegee techniques and it REALLY helped.
      Thank you
