      Adobo, talk about paying it forward, you've helped me and so many others in our tight knit MC community. Not only do you make easy to watch, very informative, and well produced videos; you really have this way about you, a very calm and collective manner which really translates, keeping me calm, (and I'm sure know how big a difference that can make.) You're like this grand master moto vinyl guru, I was on the fence when I first looked into wrapping my bike and you made it seem achievable, you sir inspire confidence and for that I'm grateful. Thanks

    I knew right from the beginning without it being on a tank stand (bolted or not) handling it was going to be crazy, definitely stressful, plus knowing the primer wasnt finish sanded for adherence. You killed it! 💪👊

    I am in the process of wrapping my Harley Fatboy in Vvivid Satin chrome red and its been real challenge - this video and your other motorcycle tank wrap has helped me greatly. Wrapping the front of the tank is the biggest challenge as essentially its a half ball but by watching you pulling the vinyl from front to back which made the wrap fall into place when I had to do the sides. Next time I stop in on my way to the Yummy market I will bring my Harley and show you how successful I've been by watching your vids. Thanks so much Christian!!!

  • @NINJUTSUguy
    @NINJUTSUguy Před 4 lety +2

    Dammm someone trying this for the first time or so especially on odd-shaped tanks like this are only going to run into difficulty after difficulty but that shouldn't stop you from trying. This guy is a pro and can read the reaction of the materials and then try to counter react against it some times many times over to get the wrap to do what he wants but all the time he is accessing and watching everything and making small but crucial adjustments and in my opinion just watching won't give you the knowledge and experience to undertake a job this difficult but who knows maybe after 5 or 6 attempts and a few extra helping hands you might get success, just don't forget the pros make things look a lot more easy to do than they really are ! This was great to watch I think most of us were on the edge of their seat wishing they could at least hold the tank from slipping, the wrap has some really interesting properties and learning to deal with them must be a challenge (great job) Whoever did the repairs to the tank did a third rate job and missed many imperfections and indeed it should have been cut back to increase contact with the wrap .

    Christian.....very nice of you to do that wrap for a charity. When you showed the gas tank at the beginning of the video, I had visions of it being as difficult as the other gas tank vid you did. You really knocked this one out even with all of the different tapers on the tank. Great wrap, and I know they're going to love it when they see it.

    So this made a huge difference for me. I was having a really hard time with wrinkles when i would round edges like a bumper as it rolls under the car. Or any time the lines would form a V.
    Glassing the wrinkles out instead of chasing them with my squeegee really sorted out my issues. Just an amateur doing my own car is all and no training other than CK Wraps.
    Anyway it was like a light coming on when i saw him glass the rounded edges of the tank and simply pull the wrinkles away. Thanks man.
    Such a difference i just did my side mirror with ease. I mean it was really simple now that i know wtf.

    I am gonna need therapy after watching this video. I cant tell you how many time I ripped off the vinyl in my mind and would have taken it into my paint booth. The person who did the body work on the tank should be fired, because your work will be graded on the final finish and someone who notices the poor body work will attribute it to the person who did the wrap never thinking that you had to negotiate complex angles and ridiculous corners having nothing to do with the substrate you hand before you. I commend you on your patience and positive attitude. I can tell you love and if not mastered your craft. Great Job

    Thanks for the great video. Would have loved to see how you finished the trimmed edges off, especially since your fingers had been touching the edge vinyl throughout the wrap process. My first wrap experience was a small panel from the side of a Ducati Scrambler gas tank, while the panel was off of the tank. The most difficult part was keeping the metal panel from moving around. I managed it, but it took about an hour per panel, and the perfectionist in me, says it's better than the original look, but the panels could look a little better for sure, so a future wrap will be done as well. can you suggest a good matte black vinyl to purchase, the one I used was off of ebay.

    Dude, I lost my installer and had an $80,000 2020 F450 crane truck conversion to wrap... I have never wrapped a vehicle solo in my life... I had to deal with the complex curves of the cab bottom at the lower corners and was always so concerned about stretching a commercial wrap... I got over that fear from watching your videos. A $3,000 3/4 cab wrap and I nailed it due to your coaching. It is a double cab... and I also wrapped a toolbox on the bed... the customer was ecstatic! Now I have the trucks little brother... same F450 only a single cab and 12 fleet vehicles from a company they just acquired to wrap. I can't thank you enough!
    I had some "oh s*!t moments, but I backed off, read the vinyl, and took my time... much like this gas tank. Just break it off in small manageable chunks and keep moving.

    That looks fantastic. Think I would've given up after 20 minutes of wrinkles.....mind you, I get frustrated with packing tape!
    Would be great to see a picture of the finished tank and the complete bike. Hope they raised some good money for the charity. Was a pleasure to watch you demonstrate your skills and experience. Thanks for sharing.

    Good stuff. I'm having a hell of a time with M2 tail lights in one piece with VViViD air-tint smoke. If you do a video of M2 tails, I would love to see it man.
