    Check out how to swap some serious brakes into your 135i or 335i for wayyyy less moolah than a Stoptech trophy kit. Our brackets allow you to mount the awesome Brembo calipers and two piece rotors from the F80/F82 M3/M4 onto any non-m 1 or 3 series. The calipers work awesome with stock rear brakes, and we have kits swap the rears coming soon. No more brake fade at the track!

    TY for posting! I wasn't gonna sweat the brakes but I was just at buttonwillow with a friend of mine during the GTA nationals and I now feel the need for better brakes on my E90N54. The stock brakes are good enough for every day road stuff and very occasional HPDE use at moderate speeds with better pads, but will fade and be useless in 3 laps of spirited use. And the kits from ECS are like $6K.. so screw that. The SLG crew does it again. But, I want to see the E9x rear axle DIY because it's not as neanderthal simple as the front brake retrofit. Watch me.. #projectweltspeed #weltspeed

    To help others to avoid this issue, I got this kit for the 135i, all fits good but it will not fit with the 18in Apex Arc8 wheels (f8x brake calipers touch the barrel). You'll need wheels that have a larger diameter barrel that can fit bbk with 380mm rotors.

    • @SeemsLegitGarage
      @SeemsLegitGarage  Před 2 lety

      We tested this and they fit with some slim spacers no problem

    • @in54ne82
      @in54ne82 Před 2 lety

      @@SeemsLegitGarage The spokes fit with a small spacer but the caliper hits slightly on the barrel putting grooves in them. I tripled checked the calipers and brackets, pushed them all the way in and same issue. Unless I get rocks jammed in there causing the grooves.
      I installed the Apex ec-7 wheels today and they clear way more.

    Why not sell upgraded steel/aluminum pistons for the OEM 135i caliper.

    • @SeemsLegitGarage
      @SeemsLegitGarage  Před 3 lety

      Because f80 rotors and calipers have much more heat capacity so they preform much better on track. The 135i system overheats easily even with piston upgrades, which we had previously

      That car has M3 front knuckles. I you change to non-m knuckles you cuse the bracket, or change to F80 knuckle and use a shock adapter to fit the brakes. We soon will have a brake kit for G80 brake mounts as well.
