    a fire door that's been cut down to much? when u drill through the door for the barrel drill half way till the point is visible then go from the other side stops the wood spitting?

    Never a good idea to drill straight through a door from one side only . The wood is very likely to be splintered ( as was seen here ) on the side with the keyhole . Keep an eye for the point of the drill bit coming through and start drilling again from the other side to meet in the middle . On this occasion he got away with it but veneer on doors can splinter badly , very easily ....

    a fire door that's been cut down to much? when u drill through the door for the barrel drill half way till the point is visible then go from the other side stops the wood splitting ? the stringing plate on the frame is not cut in neat? and when do use a hammer on a chisel?
