    Great video so raw and realistic all in one. Glad you acknowledged our Indigenous Peoples in the area, good one

      We learned so much about the various indigenous peoples and their culture in Central Australia which was a big motivation for us going there. We will share more in upcoming films. (Our videos are a couple of weeks behind real time). Thanks for watching 😀

    Lying here in my cosy bed watching this, was scrunching up my toes and grimacing as you crossed the water!!! I remember just sticking my fingers in the see how cold it was over 20 years ago and it was definitely 'brutal'!!!

    Another great video, I think I will have to suffice with your brave trek through that freezing water...I'm reluctant to have ice in my drink now 😨 I hate the cold 🥶 very brave of you two and good save Sue, was waiting for the splash with clenched teeth.
    Love from Beautiful Ball Bay 🌴 🌊 ⛱️

      Thanks Shauna, I was seriously worried for a minute there! We had put all our clothes into a dry bag, just in case!
      Did you notice I was so cold I couldn’t think of the word “sleeve” when we got out and I was showing Nigel my sleeve got wet.

    I think the mice out there live for the tourist season 🤣🤣. I hope you can evict him pretty quickly though. Thank you for your intrepid water crossing. I watched you in my dressing gown in case it was too cold for me🤪🤪

    Great video. Some spectacular views. That water definitely looked very challenging. It was interesting about the dead fish. I don’t see how the cold would kill them off only because how did they get that big in the first place? If you know what I mean. It might be that but it just seems strange. I’d be interested in the vegan lemon delicious recipe. 😁 Anyways. Looking forward to the next adventure. 🤗💖

    • @nigelandsueadventures
      @nigelandsueadventures  Před rokem +3

      They actually die because of a build up of an algae which inhibits their gills. It’s a natural die off that happens every dry season.

  • @pipingshriketravellers781

    Have you any idea just how cold the water was? Eg temperature wise?

    • @nigelandsueadventures
      @nigelandsueadventures  Před rokem

      Great question! We did try to find out, both from the traditional owners of the region working in the campsite kiosk, and from the ranger… both answered “bloody cold”, and we don’t have a thermometer capable of recording. Suffice it to say, temperatures had been sub-zero at night for a couple of weeks and didn’t look like that pool got much sun in the daytime.
