- Hey friends! We've started our Vanlife Australia road trip south from Exmouth towards Perth. Nigel has returned from his month away working. (yay) It's getting mighty hot in Exmouth, and though we love it there, we are searching for more temperate climes.
In this episode we visit the Quobba Blowholes, Carnarvon and Shark Bay. We see some amazing sights before we have a vanlife disaster on Pizza Night. However, with a bit of ingenuity, the crisis was averted!

Haha. Very innovative. Amazing what ideas are born out of desperation! Great idea though. I think you might need a few extra gas cartridges for your emergency stove too. 😊 I doubt you’ll make that mistake again, but in the grand scheme of things like Sue said, could be worse. Great video. 🤗💖
Thank Lynne! Yes we have grabbed a bunch of extra cartridges for the emergency stove too. We feel like we are pretty set now
You can buy a gage to attach to your gas bottles to keep an eye on the levels.
Yeah we could… Australian regulations mean that we have to have the gas bottle in a separate compartment accessible only from the outside, so it would be a pain. That’s why we chose to go with the two bottle system, so we would never really run out. Just an oversight that caught us at a bad moment!!
I just assumed you were going to cook the pizza in a camp fire 🔥 might roll it up like a calzone so your don't lose the toppings. amazing locations and I just can't get over how few people there are.
Yeah it’s pretty quiet at this time of year. Most people have already gone south to escape the heat.

Plan b , ask around the camp site ,if any other camper will let you use there oven, or just light a fire and cook pizza on open fire!,, 🔥🔥

There’s actually fire vans in most places at this time of year. But that would be an interesting experiment… to be honest we didn’t even think of it!
Put them in a pan with a lid,& cook on an outside cooker if you have one,Ah you did that. Your not having much luck with your gas! Keep laughing from Elaine in Queensland.

I wouldn’t just park on the side of the road when I’m on my own, I do go to an official camping area. (Just not an expensive caravan park if I can avoid it!). There have been times in the outback where we have wild camped for sure.
