- Hey Friends! In this episode of our overloading Australia road trip we visit a Vanlife Favourite - Stingray Head, just outside of Dundee Beach, NT. But first, we do some van maintenance, and maybe even get our diesel heater working?
We absolutely loved chilling out at Dundee Beach, and were really sad to read that the campsite will soon be closing to campers - although you can still go there to fish and check out the beach.
Please consider subscribing to our channel, it really helps us out!
WHO ARE WE?
We are Nigel and Sue (NaS) Adventures, a couple of outdoor adventurers. When the world went crazy, stopping our overseas travels, we bought and converted a 4x4 Sprinter Van into our tiny home on wheels. We've been Overlanding Australia living in our van since January 2021. Join us as we visit the highlights, but also share some off the beaten path hidden gems, along with the day to day realities of living in a van.
Keep up to date with our adventures on instagram at / nas_adventures

More of both please. Scenery plus the reality of daily life in a van on the road. Thanks 🙏 😊
The next few videos will be pretty heavy in the amazing scenery of Tasmania, and there’ll be a lot more van content coming down as we slow down our travelling!
Love that serenity!
It was the best! We loved it so much we actually went there twice
Good to see the heater is now working! The fish and chips looked delicious 🤤
Thank you! It was a relief, even though the fumes nearly killed me (gotta leave the door shut when it’s on!)
Thanks for watching and commenting 😃
I've been loving the scenery. Even if I make it to Australia some day I certainly won't have time to see all the places you are going. Only can see so much of a van!
Oh Roberta you will love the next couple of videos as we visit some of the most beautiful National Parks. We shot so much footage, it’s a real challenge editing it all!
😆😆 Nigel aka Russell Coight - the dance moves lol
I know, it’s a classic isn’t it! Maybe I should do a remix of his happy dances! It might go viral…
@@nigelandsueadventures 💯 that would be hilarious!
@@dani83red watch this space!!
@@nigelandsueadventures 😆
Awesome scenery as always! Great Episode
Cheers Nick! Definitely a great campsite, even if there were no fish caught
Beautiful park up by the sea guys 🤩and we’ll done at fixing that heater even in f you won’t be using it for a while 😊🙏
Yeah it’s a big relief to know it’s working ok now.
And still more beautiful scenery. Some lovely sunsets. Also was glad to see you catching up with Max and Occy. I was following Max’s channel before I found yours, when it was Max and Lee. Great to see the Aussie CZcamsrs getting together. I used to live in West Australia for a number of years. Mostly down in Denmark and Albany. One of my sons and his family is living in Albany. Looking forward to the next video. 😊🤗💖
Thanks Lynne, yeah we’ve just spent another lovely couple of days with Max and Occy, they are great fun.
We will be down in the south of WA for the summer. We are slap bang in the middle now, doing some work (our videos are quite a bit behind real time! )
I went to school with a girl named Lynne Carey, I always think of her when I see your comments, so thank you for that! Have a great Sunday 🧡🧡
@@nigelandsueadventures I figured you’d be further along the road. My husband whose a FIFO nurse is due to go to Kunnanurra in January for three months and he’s just come back from Albany and now off to Mackay until Christmas. Not exactly the sort of travelling he or we would like to do. 😂 That’s really funny you went to school with a Lynne Carey. Have you told me that before? Where were you going to school at the time? Don’t tell Max but I comment a lot more on your videos. 😆 I want to help your channel grow plus you are still able to respond. Max gets a bit inundated. Safe travels. 🤗💖
We loved Kunnanurra! Will you go with him?
And don’t worry, we won’t tell Max 🤫
@@nigelandsueadventures No unfortunately I have to stay home to help maintain the rental. We were planning to move into our MotorHome it we had to change our plans. So hopefully next July we will move into it. Then I might be able to go along. 😊
Love the content and can't wait to get out there ourselves next year in our LWB Sprinter. Would be great to know what month it is at each of your locations and show where you are on Nigel's digital map - very helpful. And also interested in seeing the reality of life in a van.. Keep 'em coming!
Thanks for the suggestions! Our videos are usually filmed 4-6 weeks before being uploaded currently.
We try to put a map, will be mindful to do it for each video!
🤩 Happy Dance 🎉 Love your scenery shots, even when talking - scenery plus profile is good 👍 Little van stuff is ok, it’s reality 😫
Thanks! Yes I always have to capture the happy dances.
Sometimes when I’m editing I struggle to find the balance between scenery and van life. Hard to know what the audience really likes!
@@nigelandsueadventures Cheers, yes 😉 My take is: We r not nearby so seeing wot ur viewing is ace & the background music adds the emotion 😜 I’m enjoying your videos and the journey ur taking overall 😘 Good job 👍😝 Tip: watch Max and Occy, TIAV & Vancity Vanlife 2 c how they provide visual interest while talking💡💋✨🚐 🤪
Cheers! We are big fans of Max and Occy and got to hang out with them a few times recently.
@@nigelandsueadventures Awesome 🐾 I did wonder as u were both in the area simultaneously 💋✨😝
It's a pity you didn't visit Litchfield Park, with its beautiful waterfalls
We did!! We’ve been to Litchfield 3 times in 3 years! Pretty sure we produced videos from each visit
give more of both please
Will do! The next few videos are more focussed on destinations, but we do have a few that are more van concentrated coming up too.
Sorry about all the trouble with the heater...I read tons of article about the cheap heaters crapping out...I made the investment and have been using an Espar heater full time on the road without any problems for almost five years now...a simple cleaning every couple of years and it's all good to go...maybe time to upgrade?
I think the main reason we chose to go the cheap route is that we barely ever need to use it. The month on the Central Australian desert was unseasonably cold, in fact the coldest winter in over 50 years apparently. I guess if we knew we were going to need it more often, we would invest in a quality unit for sure! We have heard good things about the espar.
@@nigelandsueadventures I understand completely...I use mine many times a year but if I only used it sparingly I'd probably go your route also with the cheaper one.
