Can I be real with yâall I think this is the only actual limited edition Sims game because you can still order the ââ limited edition plants versus zombies one but you can never get the Katy Perry back

Even if it was not good as a stuff pack we can't deny how iconic campy it was for its time and a big thing for the franchise overall
the DEFINITION of camp
I personally believe that the pack was discontinued simply because the contract ran out. They didn't have the rights to Katy anymore, so the easiest thing was just to discontinue rather than pay for her again.
I have the Showtime edition (simply because it was the same price and more content), and it came with was a poster and two fake guitar picks đ
I got this pack when they discontinued it, just for the sake of collecting, when it was no longer more expensive than normal stuff packs.
I've never heard the term fake guitar picks. Some guitarist use pennies or chopped up credit/gift cards and to them it's just as real as something like a Dunlop pick which is pretty neat
I actually played guitar when I was younger and always used those picks since I was such a huge Katy fan, so wouldnât call them fake only because they werenât well made or high end

Unpopular opinion, but this is in my top 3 stuff packs
I love the whole over the top, sweet, campy aesthetic and it fits my personal style
Same. I'm a pastel goth, give me fun campy candy sets or dark vibes and I'm good - beat if you can mix them.

@@lgbtyler6791 I remember always looking forward to new pack releases, even when I didn't intend to by it, BECAUSE he would come out with a hilarious review a day or two later. I was so sad when he announced that he wasn't going to anymore.

I was a big Sims and Katy fan when these 2 packs (showtime and sweet treats) came out. I actually met Katy and showed her what big of a fan I was by showing her the Showtime poster lol
I have a physical copy of this stuff pack and it is saved to my EA account! Itâs no surprise that as a Katy Perry superfan, I screamed with joy when I found out it existed. I had to have it, and I didnât care what anyone else thought about it. đâ¤ď¸ I even have the modded version in The Sims 4. Gods...I was like 13 when this pack came out! I remember my cousin getting this pack and I absolutely was almost livid with jealousy! Then we played it and we simply couldn't stop laughing at how ridiculous it looked and the fact that we heard "Hot n' Cold" in simlish.
I actually use the stuff from the pack fairly often, I love the rainbow pastel candy stuff honestly lol. Great for theme parks and overly stylized bakeries. The furniture is weird and cute and certainly..unique. I've never had any strong feelings about Katy Perry or her music I just like cute candy stuff.

I loved this pack so much lol, it was so chaotic and was great for throwing themed parties for my sims. Iâm glad I still have a copy!
I know the pack was cash grabby but I honestly still liked it. At the time when I was playing The Sims 3 I did not use any mods or custom content and I really liked the idea of a candy themed park so I had that main one in my neighborhood and I use some items from the pack to upgrade the boardwalk and other venues and put them in vacation destinations.
I remember seeing this pack back in 2012 in a physical shop and I wanted to cry so much because my parents didn't even give me a chance to enter the shop 𼲠I was a big fan of Katy back then and I dreamed SO MUCH about it
I used to have it when I was a preteen, before I had my own account and lost the code. This pack was one I significantly remember loving to play as a kid. I spent quite some time trying to find a copy for a reasonable price. A few months ago I was incredibly lucky to find a brand new copy in the box from ebay for less than $20.
Every single one of my sims wore the dresses, I was actually obsessed with that pack I really liked it lol

I remember hearing my favourite band (Rise Against) in the sims 3 when i was 16 (2015). Mind blown, never heard it before and it was such a fun easter egg.
Same! I was so surprised they put rise against in the sims! But I have a feeling Someone on the sims team likes âalternative rockâ. because all time low also had a song in generations (a song called time bomb). And the sims 2 on PS2 had Paramore a song called pressure from there debut album before they got super popular.
I didn't feel it at the time, but I actually use a lot of the items now, it's perfect for one of my sims and their bakery. The Sims 4 definitely makes me appreciate it even more now. At least it actually did have a lot than the average stuff pack at the time. Nowadays, we'd have gotten the contents of this expansion as 5 different kits.
This pack will never die because someone made a Sims for re-creation mod of it including re-creating the trailer in the Sims four which honestly Iâm live it for⌠and personally if you have a fun fantasy like re-creating Hansel and Gretelâs fairy tail I guess I was like the one thing or maybe pinkie pie thatâs the only thing I can think that this pack Besides you know Katy Perry themed build

I remember playing the sims as a kid, and messing with the game files. I made it so that no matter what type of music my Sims played, it would always play Katy Perry's hot & cold in simlish. I was OBSESSED with Katy Perry's music at the time. I still love her, but not like when I was a kid.

This thing and the Diesel stuff pack still piss me off whenever they cross my loading screens while I'm playing TS3. They're the only non-online exclusive packs for that game that I don't own and have no intention of ever acquiring.
I'd be fine with sponsored content in The Sims if it were free, but no way in hell am I PAYING MONEY to be ADVERTISED to. That's such a grotesque display of capitalist greed that it feels downright dystopian.
I remember buying this with my sister when we were like 11 or 12 and we didn't know that you needed the base game to play, imagine our disappointment when we got home and put it in the computer.. Ended up buying the base game a few days later. That was what started my Sims addiction, which continues to this day (I'm 22 now)
Honestly as someone who did regret begging my parents to get this for me at one point. There's also a part of me that is a little happy that I still own the physical copy of Katy Perry Sweet Treats. It may be an eyesore in my cupboard but hey I must say it's a hilarious piece of gaming & sims history to have in my collection. đ

It felt a little bit like the sims 2 cursed doll whenever you downloaded a Sims 3 Full Collection and it included the cupcake tits, truly the beggars canât be choosers experience
It was one of the only stuff packs I didn't buy because I didn't want to role-play as Hansel and Gretell.
I...acquired...this pack just because it was required for a CC gingerbread house I wanted to add to my game. It's a very silly pack but I certainly don't hate it (but then again...I also didn't exactly spend any money on it either so...)
I think it couldâve also been a licensing thing where they only had the rights to use Katy Perryâs image for so long

I got this pack in my Easter basket years ago, I never actually wanted this pack, but I did end up using it for treat themed nurseryâs.
I still play with this pack everytime I play sims 3 đ itâs just iconic and a pretty cool add in for the game
My sister used to work in a electronics store back in the day and she bought this for less than 10 dollars because it was on clearance and got extra off with staff discount đđđ I unironically loved it and used to make candy themed parks. Also the Simlish version of TGIF goes hard đ

As a kid I got this thinking it came with the sims 3 ( i literally only wanted it cause I had a huge crush on Katy as a kid ) and was disappointed to see it didnât come with the game, got frustrated and returned it.
It's odd they didn't just release it later as "Sweet Treats" without the Katy Perry branding. She doesn't own the idea of candy themed furniture.
My snackage today was a shrimp coctail and some fresh blueberries. I gotta say though ... I kinda loved the KP Showtime edition when it came out. I liked it so much that I really wanted the stuff pack but by the time I decided to purchase it I couldn't find it anywhere. Not even on ebay. I guess you just explained why it became so non-existent.

I was still playing Sims 2 and hadn't bought Sims 3 yet (was waiting for sale and also lots of packs and expansions to be available to purchase) when I saw Sweet Treats hit the shelves and was so ReVoLtEd I refused to buy Sims 3 period.
I didn't buy and play Sims 3 till this (2022) year and am so sad I waited so long.
I'm currently enjoying a bowl of cashews as I watch this video.

I was gonna have a piece of lemon glazed pound cake with some tea as a snack but after the small diabetes comment in the beginning I thought about replacing it with some overnight oats with a banana and ended up eating the cake while thinking about it.
Wait those commercials make me think like hello Sims lore is in the commercials Iâm thinking to myself that anything that happens in that commercial or in the commercials itâs canonical meaning it technically happens before the game starts up and thereâs even proof of characters existing in and out of the commercials and games
This was my first introduction to Sims 3đ
I would have downloaded it had it been free.
I will never download Batu even if it were free.
So that's at least a mark in this pack's favor.

Katy Perry has said how much she loves the sims, this was pre her deal with them, and how badly she would love to work with them. I think this stuff pack was more of a Katy Perry fever dream than anything else.

I remember LGR reviewing this and thus saved me from buying it. I also remember he ate the box artwork as his snack. And very angrily I might add đ
I always felt in my heart that if the pack was cheaper, had plain versions of the items (with items for younger ages), and didn't already have Katy involved in Showtime, it wouldn't be so controversial! The items in the pack were campy but hard to incorporate into everyday gameplay. Which makes it hard sell for simmers who may not be into Katy's music (or herself with controversy she would later apologize for doing), unlike packs like Decades Stuff, Luxury Loft, and Master Suite.
